Thanks for passing on this info - just goes to show it is easy to be critical of the BSPA/the system when not in possession of all the facts.

Great publicity for the sport but doesn't someone check the facts being presented on the clip! If I was PJR I wouldn't be too happy!! -

Got to agree with you GRW. I am not condoning what goes on - allegedly behind closed doors at the BSPA but I think social media sites and forums like this one do no good at all. It provides a platform to dissect the sport and its rules in such a public way which is usually detrimental to the sport and turns supporters away. I have been following the sport as a supporter and sponsor for a long time and I used to be able to stand on the terraces and you would not have a clue as to what was going on in the background ans I think the sport was a better place for it. Anyway, sorry to KL fans for taking it off-topic!!

I agree with your remarks regarding the great history that Belle Vue has but that doesn't give you any rights to success - you have to assemble a team that is well balanced and has potential to improve and that has not happened in recent years. Having said that, this team does look very good so far and I would expect BV to be challenging for honours in 2014.
-
.............well if you want to pay us all - could cost you a bit though!!!
-
I would hope so!!

I know there was a 'wink' in there Lisa, but hardly Glory Hunters when it looks like there will be no EL (Top Flight(British league)) racing at Alwalton in 2014. But my intention is to still support the top flight speedway as I have for many years including some sponsorship and Coventry have definately put together an exciting team for 2014 so I will be at Brandon as often as I can.

"I don't know a great deal about him" and "Gain assurances that he can fully commit" I bet that made Lee Smart feel special!!!!
-
Yes, definately looks a good balanced side so far. Be interesting to see who the final rider will be.
-
Sounds like he is not wanted by the management for some reason which is a bit odd as he is an asset.

Not so. 2 good reserves could give you an 6-8 point advantage over the two reserve races and that is a lot to make up for any top 5. -
Think I am going to be joining you!!

Elite League Draft Riders

I see you are looking in on it though Shawn - is that to criticise it or because it is actually quite interesting and is going to add a bit of spice to next season? -
Great. So no real need for all the bile from Matt then really.
-
Incredible really. MF and some of his cohorts have been telling us on the forum to stop bleating and promote their clubs as he does, spend money to get the best riders in and when another team/promotion does just that it is criticised. The Coventry promotion have done a great job close season - promoting the the club through a a stand at the motorcycle show, signing some good riders which look to have talent and a good balance to the side. I would have though Poole Speedway would have welcomed a strong challenge. Let's hope Coventry are not the only ones for 2014, it might just bring back the fans.

Elite League Draft Riders
TesarRacing replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Absolutely. It won't be perfect but rather than pull it to bits why can't we, as true supporters, get behind this initiative and at least give it a chance. Fans have been saying something needs to done for some years - lets get behind these promoters and support it.
