Whatever you say or think about Steve S he is at least going to the meetings and giving his full support as well as his money. Where do you think the money comes from to make the changes you keep banging on about? So no, you do not need to go to realise the team are struggling but maybe your support in person not to mention the entrance fee might just lift the team.

Sorry I don'y buy this 'deliberately underperforming' rubbish. There is no way the riders are riding to get their averages down so that Ford can bring in riders to strengthen. This team was built to do the business but for some reason(s) they are not performing. Also, that strategy would be financial suicide for Matt Ford and he is no mug. No I am sorry, Poole are just rubbish at the moment!

Steve's comparison of Manchester and Poole is very selective to say the least. Comparing Sandbanks to a council estate is not representative of the 2 areas. My sister lives just outside Bournemouth and they are a lot of extremely deprived areas in the centre of Bournemouth and parts of Poole. whereas my daughter lives in a place called Woodford on the edge of Manchester and there are some very expensive houses there where some of the professional footballers live. Also interestingly, Ivan Mauger lived in Woodford and Bramhall, very nice areas when he was riding for the Aces.

But you conveniently ignore the fact that it would never have got to that point if it had not been for the actions of Ford in the first place. The league is a much poorer place for absence of Coventry and Peterborough, 2 teams who have always brought excellent away support. Who knows, maybe Poole could have afforded race suits this year if they were both still in the league!!

I seemed to remember Coventry & Peterborough trying to do the best for their respective clubs back in that winter of discontent but where did that get them?

That's a very well written submission gambo and I would have thought it would make the planning team think about their decision very deeply.
