  1. Well at least Kennett wouldn't be exhausted - then again.................
  2. I seem to remember quite a few of the Coventry team criticising the Brandon track this season - doesn't necessarily make it a bad track. Riders will always blame the track/equipment etc before themselves. Maybe the home riders need to knuckle down and make the 'unusual' shape work for them and give them some significant home advantage.
  3. I don't get the criticism of the track - who says you can't have a track with long straights and tight bends. It makes for interesting racing with riders trying different lines etc. I will agree that most passes were due to riders mistakes but doesn't that happen on more 'conventional' tracks anyway? I was kept entertained throughout the meeting and thought the atmosphere at the stadium was very good. The only thing I will say is that if the shape of the track is the cause of the numerous crashes (not sure that was the case) then it should be a concern as none of us like to see riders getting injured.
  4. So you didn't post this earlier today and then remove it?: What about this side? 1. Rory Schlein - 11.43 2. Nicki Barrett - 3.60 3. Ulrich Oostergaard - 6.93 4. Lewis Blackbird - 5.55 5. Lasse Bjerre - 8.00 6. Oliver Greenwood - 3.40 7. Joe Jacobs - 3.58 = 42.49
  5. Looking down the scorers, most of the team scored what you would expect then to score with the exception of Woffy. If he had scored 10+ it would have been a good win. But the promotion are not going to replace him are they so I can see the difficulty. Why do you think he is struggling in the EL when he is doing so well in the GP's?
  6. 12 months is a long time in speedway - a year ago Proctor was one of the main reasons Wolves got into the play-offs.
  7. A lack of response on a internet forum does not mean nothing is being done or that supporters don't care. A thread on 'Coventry Speedway' wont save the club. It worries me these days that everything has to revolve around social media and forums rather than what is happening in the 'real world'. A case in point was the frenzy around Coventry seemingly not making any changes to their rider line-up and then out of the blue, Michael Jepsen Jensen pops up!!!
  8. These guys never cease to amaze me. I know they are well paid and all that but they really do put themselves at great risk of injury and the possibility of not being able to work later on in life. And all for us moaning supporters!!!
  9. It is not a speed camera Abbo, it is a number plate recognition camera. It records the registration no's of all vehicles entering and leaving Binley Woods. One of my employees lives in Binley and has confirmed this, so not sure about speeding fines. There is a speed camera van parked down nearer to the stadium periodically.
  10. I don't think it's anything to do with being a fan - it's called fading memory, like wot I got!! We are not all as young as you Shawn!!
  11. Wasn't able to get to this meeting - did Nermark's RR rides not score any points?
  12. What's the latest on when Lewis Kerr is expected to be back riding?
  13. You got that one wrong then - however, it was only Leicester!!
  14. Maybe it's also down to the promoter(s) looking after the riders and therefore wanting to ride?
  15. Give the guy a break - our first British World Champion for many years plus he had to give up his allotment this year to concentrate on his racing!
  16. No. Out of all speedway supporters - I would expect Stars fans to be far more concerned about the status of the riders injuries than their teams progress in the EL.
  17. I thought there was no overtaking at Leicester?
