Need to make sure he doesn't ride at 2 then!! From a neutral perspective I think this makes for a very strong 1-5. Shamek might have been a more prolific scorer but how many meetings would he do? As has already been mentioned, equipment is the one question mark. He needs to have good kit to compete at EL level, as I am sure he knows.

Except that going by reactions on here - if that is anything to go by, Janowski & Holder would be the 'box-office winner' not Ward & Holder!

Fair point Shawn, providing those riders are willing to ride over here.

I think that's a bit harsh. No-one wants to see one sided meetings using 3 point riders in place of heat leaders.

If I was Bjarne reading some of these comments I would be quite upset. BP has been a very loyal servant to British speedway throughout his career and doesn't deserve this criticism. I don't buy all these conspiracy theories with reference to Poole. Speedway riders want to race and win and Bjarne is no exception. He will be a good signing.

Shame he didn't have a couple of pints of that - would have saved a lot of trouble and cost!!

Blimey, some of you guys are hard to please aren't you? I think it's a step in the right direction so why don't we wait till the season starts and see how it pans out. On the rider anticipating starts - I don't see a problem with that. Sometimes a rider will get it right, sometimes not. In any case I don't see how referees can possibly distinguish between someone anticipating the start and another getting it right!

Yes but that's not quite the same as mentoring is it? He needs someone to sit down with him quietly and tell him what a pillock he is being and throwing it all away rather that being told how fantastic he is and condoning what he does. I get the impression Middlo worships the ground he walks on and if that is the case he will never successfully mentor him. It is a special talent and I don't think Middlo has that in him and it would be very difficult to do as his club team manager too. He needs someone he will respect that is not involved in Poole speedway.

It looks like a reasonable team to me so far. If you fill the last place with a rider that will average 8.69 or more and that's the big if, then you will have a good season.

I have no doubt about that - don't make it right though!!
