  1. She's only doing this to further her own career. She doesn't care about the alleged victim, she only care's about herself
  2. Just heard Charlie talking about the Ched Evans case on Radio 4. I think she is wrong on this one, and dare I say it, she is using this incident to focus some attention on her.
  3. Chris has been found safe and well. Gustix would of liked to of informed you himself but he is currently unable to post.
  4. I'm just saying, I doubt very much her career ambitions were to become interview girl on Sky Sports speedway... I expect she would be very disappointed if that was the high point of her career.
  5. I expect Speedway on Sky Sports was very much a stepping stone for Charlie.
  6. How can they give us dates for the final when we still haven't ran the semi's yet, and knowing British weather, we might not even get it done on Wednesday! What on earth is the point of setting a final date that could well be missed? Some of you lot are unbelievable.
  7. His results were 0.5, after half an hour 0.45 and 0.39. The limit is 0.00.
  8. Does anybody know what substance is in question? I cannot see it mentioned anywhere
  9. That's interesting to hear, thanks for that. Do you know if any other sponsors provide free equipment like Mitas?
  10. Does anybody know what the main differences are between the Mitas and the Golden Tyres? I am lead to believe that the only rider in the Grand Prix series using the Golden Tyre is Greg Hancock. Is that right? Greg Hancock seems to be gating brilliantly at the moment and I am guessing this may be something to do with the Golden Tyre. Greg is gating brilliant but I have noticed that he can struggle to maintain the pace afterwards and has to ride very defensively. This works well for Greg as he has more years experience than some riders have even been alive! Is this down to the tyre or is just Greg? Is it work having better traction at the start and a potential lack of pace later on in the race? What are the main differences between the Mitas and Golden Tyres? I apologize if this thread or similar has already been started
  11. He will almost certainly drop out of the top 8. I would like him to have a wildcard for next season. This could be the kick up the rear he needed. He is definitely Grand Prix material. I think an 8 month ban is more than sufficient. He certainly won't take an 8 month ban lightly.
  12. Update: Source: bournemouthecho.co.uk The 22-year-old is due to attend a jury meeting following this afternoon's event in Riga at which he will give his version of events. Based on that meeting, a decision will then be made on what punishment, if any, will be handed out. A suspension and/or fine are possible penalties that Ward could face. His team manager at Poole, Neil Middleditch, politely declined to comment on the matter in detail. However, Middleditch told the Daily Echo: "I do not condone Darcy's actions but there are some mitigating circumstances which will come to light."
  13. Yes, just as a judge would do if you ended up in court. Update: Darcy Ward: "I received some bad family news yesterday." "I had a few drinks too and guess I had a few too many." "I was only marginally over the limit" "I guess I was not hydrated enough" "It's been the worst day of my life". As others have said there is no excuse and a ban should be expected. Scott Nicholls: "It would set a bad example if a ban is not awarded"
  14. I don't condone his actions. I am just saying, it doesn't hurt to have some compassion. Imagine for a second that something unforeseen happened and resulted in your life taking a downward turn, I am sure you would want any mitigating circumstances to be taken in to consideration? Especially if your livelihood depended on it.
  15. First of all, what is the limit for riding a speedway bike? Is this a speedway regulation or a local regulation? The alcohol drink driving limit for road users varies massively country to country. Perhaps they forbid any alcohol at all? It's not uncommon for somebody to drink heavily one night, and feel fine the next day but still be over the legal limit. I'm just saying it's not uncommon for somebody his age to have a heavy Saturday night and not realize the effects might last so long. He could of been well under our legal drink drive limit in the UK but over theirs in Daugavpils. Not defending him, just brain storming. Doesn't always pay to judge somebody without the facts. It is only fair that any potential ban considers all factors of his defense, and so should we.
  16. Darcy Ward fails pre match alcohol breath test at Daugavpils Grand Prix. Darcy has been withdrawn from the meeting. Darcy Ward: "I received some bad family news yesterday." "I had a few drinks too and guess I had a few too many." "I was only marginally over the limit" "I guess I was not hydrated enough" "It's been the worst day of my life" The 22-year-old is due to attend a jury meeting following this afternoon's event in Riga at which he will give his version of events. 17. I spent a short spell working at Curry's a few years ago over Christmas and had the pleasure of serving Darcy Ward. He came in to buy an electric coffee grinder, and only an electric coffee grinder! I had a look out the shop window as he was leaving and his van was surrounded by about 15 young men. 3 Guesses as to what that grinder was for?
  18. Well that whole post made you look very stupid... Record sells are entirely incomparable in their very nature to the performance and advancement of a sports person. Duh. And no, you clearly didn't read my post properly. I said stating an opinion without backing it up with any logic makes you come across an impulsive idiot, not your unfounded doubt in Craig Cook's ability to improve any further in his career. I didn't say Cook would improve either, but as usual Gavan always know's best.
  19. Everybody is entitled to an opinion. An opinion is usually formed because certain things or patterns in behaviour have made you think that way. However when you voice an opinion that you cannot provide a reason for your opinons lose all credibility and you end up looking like an idiot to the logical masses So to answer your question, you don't need to have a reason for your opinion, but it does help give your thoughts and opinions some credibility and garner respect from the community. Personally, in my opinion, I don't believe that is any reason whatsoever to suggest he has reached his peak. Many riders have the odd season or two off, especially when they are relatively new (in terms of mastering a sport) to the scene. I believe Tai Woffiden was at one point near awful after showing a lot of promise early on and definitely took several steps backwards, but look where we are now? You cannot hone your skills without learning from failure.
  20. Care to explain your opinion? I am sure you have plenty of well balanced and reasoned arguments as to why you firmly believe he has reached his level.
  21. I think that's a pretty odd comment to make. A certain British rider comes to mind, some great rides but overall a bit crap when it came to the big boys. A lot of people didn't think he'd ever get any better and that a Premier League number 1 would be his highest achievement. I believe he is now world champion and currently defending his title rather well?
  22. I'm afraid that's just not the case. The top names are top names for a reason, they bring the best entertainment in the sport.
  23. I would kind of like the big boys back... I say we copy the Polish model and crack on.
  24. Is there a link to the rules and regulations for this season?
