Woffinden would have been British Champion apart from Eddies fall, what is MJJ's average in the Elite, please no first season crap he is supposed to be a WTC champion after all so it should not be a problem, and a GP champion FIVE last places last night in a field a rider of his "supposed" calibre should have waltzed thru ... FIVE ... 0-0-0-0-0 = 0pts .... not that good at all really

IF Woffinden had a decent team to support his scores he would have won a WTC, as for the GP when he was thrown in last time he was not ready. He is now number one at his club and is a far far better rider than MJJ .... of that there is no doubt at all

Why ??? IF it puts the top 16 riders on view than so be it to me. I look at it like being selected for your country in football, if you consistantly show you are good enough you should get a chance. People were moaning last year when Bjarne qualified because he was going to be outclassed & was one of the old guard, and they were right. If Ales Dryml had made it last night thoe same people would have been on his back. The qualifiers do not always work out. Was Jerzy Szczakiel really the best rider in the world in 1973 ? ... was Egon Muller the best in 1983 ? ... freak results. We cannot have it always, the common moan on here is that we want to see the best riders in the GP ... to be totally sure of that nomination is the ONLY way. The problem is politics will always have a place, so maybe even nomination is not the way. Yes the wild cards are there to help keep the field strong, I think 3 qualifiers is about right but the final should be over 2/3 meetings. Just my view

Think TNT has the wilcards spot on ... as for MJJ he won on a track where he has ridden since he was 8, he holds the track record and the track conditions were more suited to him than some of the stars. Last night he showed us what he IS capable of in a much weaker field. That alone will have cost him any chance of a wildcard.

Its the British way, they do it with all sports football etc. I AM a little Englander ... there will be a brit in next season because thats the way it is
