Danish Gp 28/6
ytsejam replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't think its the pressure that could/will stop Darcy becoming World Champion one day, i reckon that until he learns to GATE, then he will never do it. The majority of the GP tracks are set up slick (heaven knows why!!!!) for the gaters and if you miss it, then you more often than not, have no chance of getting to the front, no matter how good you are. -
British Final 2014
ytsejam replied to Julie Browne's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Well he "cheats" in 90% of the GP races (by rolling at the start) so he thought he'd find a different way to cheat at the British Final!. -
Cardiff Entertainment
ytsejam replied to Callum Johnstone's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You've got to laugh really when you think of the utter and complete RUBBISH that was presented to the public ON the track last year (and to a lesser extent the year before) that people are still worried about the "off track" entertainment!! -
Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014
ytsejam replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Regardless of whether the T/R is fair or not (and it often isn't!!) surely before much longer a team manager somewhere is going to develop a brain cell and tell his riders that when you go out in heat 9 or 10 and are 8 points (or even 10 if one T/R has already been used) ahead, that you DON'T then win a race 4-2 or 5-1 to extend the lead to 10 or 12 points so that a(nother) T/R can be used! At that stage of the meeting, its really the only remotely realistic chance the team who are losing have of winning the meeting, so why on earth give them that potential lifeline!!....2 teams, just this week (Lakeside and Poole), would not have lost their meetings if they had used a bit of common sense in heats 9 and/or 10!! -
Only need two words to describe that farce yesterday...."utter rubbish".

King's Lynn Stars V Leicester Lions 30/04/14
ytsejam replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thoughts?!!....you (and others who think this will be a close meeting) must be on "something" if you think this will be anything other than a whitewash farce of a meeting!!! Lynn will win by at least 15 points, without even having to breaking sweat! -
Chris Bomber Harris Performances
ytsejam replied to ghostie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Going to make a complete and utter fool out of himself AGAIN (remember 2012?) in the Grand Prix's. Always been a hard trier with a huge heart and guts but never sadly, has had any class. Shame he didn't have a bit more common sense though and had used it to sensibly refuse his "extreme back door" invitation into the GP's this season! -
Poole V Coventry 14/4/14 Ela Sky Meeting.
ytsejam replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ain't that the truth?!...just how sad is it that most people must surely be confident that those two teams will be in the Play off finals in 6 months time, whilst we're still in April?!!....Unless either of them have horrendous seasons with injuries, then this year is going to be the most predictable one probably ever! The speedway bosses need a major rethink over the course of the season as they can't afford to go into 2015 with again only 2 teams capable of winning the league as SKY surely, will lose patience with the sport before too much longer (its a shock that they haven't already done so after the rubbish that was served up last season in the televised EL matches 95% of the time). All we can hope for is some decent racing from the the other 8 "also ran" teams in the EL but as far as ultimate winners go, there are only 2 names in the hat, virtually before the season has even started. -
New Zealand Gp.
ytsejam replied to STARRGAZER1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Harris once again is out of his depth. Every year in the GP's there's always one or two who are in it who shouldnt be and he's definitely the one for this season. Just how many "lucky chances" has he had to be in the GP's over the years? Such a shame to see the premier event in Speedway devalued with people like him in it every round (and I know he tries hard bless him, but he's just going to make a fool out of himself again like in 2012) -
No surprise there, just think about it for a moment.....Why do you think it take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete each meeting every week when there's only 15 mins of actual racing involved?!!...The promotors a) want to make the public think they are getting better value for money if they're there for a couple of hours rather than an hour (maximum) that a meeting could comfortably be held in and b ) more importantly, they want people on the premises for as long as possible, buying drinks, food etc and the interval is the prime time for those sales, so they are hardly going to do away with that!!.....

Poole V Birmingham 1st Leg Grand Final
ytsejam replied to pirateandi's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't think anyone can really complain about those prices for the FINAL of the "plays off" at all. Look at the stupid prices that people pay for the farcical GP at Cardiff? -
This EXACTLY. Its the same when it comes to the British GP too. Just get on with the damn thing and stop all the verbal diarhea from "Mr Know It All" Pearson and totally unnecessary lengthy intro's and over the top hype. When you have so much to get through you get started as soon as possible. IF for any chance, you are ever actually AHEAD of schedule and in danger of not having enough "action" to fulfil the alloted time, THEN you can start waffling on and interviewing "Tom, Dick & Harry" to slow things down a little. It happens everytime and SKY either don't seem to care about it or haven't enough intelligence to act differently for once!

Thats a good point but also opens up a WHOLE can of worms when you mention rolling!. It really annoys me that so many top riders regularly do it (including Woffy, NKI, Anderson) and basically its cheating when 90% of the other riders DON'T do it. It could all so easily be stopped though if a) the ruling bodies of Speedway had any balls or b} the starting gate marshalls actually did something for once or were given powers to be something other than just be a figure of fun to be ignored by the riders. You can always spot the "rollers" before a race starts because they always line up 12-18 inches behind the other riders (or sometimes even AFTER the marshall has given the signal that all is ok,they then roll back a little) . A new rule should come into the sport saying that every rider needs to be within a certain distance of the tapes (close enough to stop anyone risking rolling) when the "OK" is given and when they go up. This could be done either by the start marshall when he is "lining them up" or a line could be painted on the track (or side of it) and the riders monitored by either the ref or an official at the tapes. Once the marshall was satisfied they were all lined up within this mark, anyone who then rolled backwards out of it in order to get a roller, would be disqualified. Easy to implement, easy to police and then we would see just how good SOME of these riders who rely of making the gate as their only main weapon, really are!. Basically, cut out the cheating.

Grow up for goodnes sake!!... First Holder, now Emil, the only 2 who could have challenged Tai are now both out of the equation, so who on earth is there left to challenge him (unless Tai got injured too, which NO-ONE would want to see)? Some people can't see past the end of their own nose and would swear black is white until everyone else in the country said they were wrong (even then they'd struggle to believe it!). Well done to Tai who HAS been a revelation this season, but unfortunately for him, he now needs to do it again another year, otherwise people are always going to say that he only won it because of injuries to his only 2 rivals (rightly or wrongly).

24th August 2013 Gp Challenge @ Poole
ytsejam replied to Irk Deflector's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Completely agree with that, it would totally ridiculous if that happened but would sadly sum up just how unprofessional and farcical speedway can be a lot of the time these days! -
Italian Gp Saturday 3rd August
ytsejam replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Awww bless them and to think they're doing it for the love of the sport and not earning a penny from it too!!.....For goodness sake, they are getting paid good money and travelling the world yet we should feel sorry for them for having to work for 3 1.2 hours NON STOP?!!...poor little darlings!. You (and them) should try getting a job in the real world and being out of the house for 12+ hours each day (and being paid fractions of what these 2 unprofessional "shouters" and "screamers" get) before you start feeling sorry for them! Professional commentators should "commentate", not resort to screaming "Woah" at the top of their voices every time 2 riders get near each other! Thats the sort of stuff that people dragged off the terraces at the last minute to commentate, would resort to yet these 2 have made their careers on it!.Did you ever here Dave Lanning screaming at the top of his voice "woah" once in his whole career, let alone at every time that 2 riders come within a few yards of each other? Sorry for the rant, but these 2 have wound me up for so long now, that stupid comments like "spare a thought for them" has triggered me off! -

ytsejam replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not holding out much hope for this GP to be anything other than a boring procession and with Madsen, Covatti and Dryml all competing too, it could be argued that its probably the weakest line up in a GP ever, too! :( -
An exciting and close finish yes, but the actual racing was pretty dire. Apart from some first bend "sort outs" there was virtually no passing at all for the remaining 3 3/4 laps of every race. Totally disgraceful for the Czechs to be in the final and for producing such a rubbish and non action track. Thank goodness the scores WERE close! WHY can't any country other than Poland see that if you actually put enough shale on the tracks, then you will get good racing and people who miss the gate still have a chance to overtake someone?

Oh my goodness!!! LOL You gotta love the naivety of some people, its almost sweet!!

World Cup Race Off - 18th July 2013
ytsejam replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Oh look, the first race about 15 mins after the programme start!! I thought you had to mess about and act stupdily wasting time and going completely over the top with hype and screaming track announcers for about 45 mins before you could possibly have the first race?! Oh no, that only ever happens in this country for some ridiculous reason!! -
Swc, Event Two, King's Lynn 15/7
ytsejam replied to Northern Exile's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What a completely rubbish and ridiculously over drawn out (surprise surprise!!!) meeting. One decent battle for the lead in 20 races, forgone conclusion as far as the first 2 places were concerned well before the meeting started and delay after unneccesary delay in getting the meeting a) started and run. But hey!, its the British SWC World Cup event, so, just like the British GP, it HAS to be drawn out and drag on for ever, as its the law or so it seems! (and nothing whatsoever to do with the Promoters wanting to keep the crowd buying food and drinks whilst nothing is happening on the track, of course!)
