  1. He was for sure and to be fair he does most races he rides in but he still put up a good battle and was on the pace. Can't be faulted tonight for effort.
  2. SPOT ON. They are commentators who "don't" when something remotely exciting happens!!...They then resort to making monkey noises or just merely shouting out the riders name when two riders get close to each other!...so VERY unprofessional. Can you ever recall or imagine the great Dave Lanning making animal noises or merely screaming out a riders name when he was commentating? IF they were just a couple of fans who had been dragged out of the crowd and asked to commentate on the racing, then you would expect the inane noises and screaming from them but they are supposidly "professionals" who get paid a good whack for the role and also get to travel, no doubt all expenses paid, around the world and country to watch a sport!.
  3. I'll get my coat!!!! How wrong can anyone be?!!.... Apologies and a huge well done to Russia.
  4. Gonna be really exciting tonight now then!!!....uhmm, I wonder if Australia are going to win?!!!!....Track will be much better but the meeting could still rival Lynn's for monotany!! and USA could actually score double figure points now too!! As I said the other day, this years World Cup excitement came and went on Tuesday, the other 3 meetings were/are going to be non events.
  5. He probably didn't, no, but one thing WAS for certain, in that on Saturday the top 2 teams were always guaranteed to be be GB and Australia, even if the other two pathetic no hopers had been allowed to use 10 jokers each!. Whereas tonight there were 4 fairly evenly matched sides which provided more entertainment in one race than the whole meeting on Saturday did.
  6. Very true, but sadly their presence will not exactly liven it up!! Only a full strength and fit Aussie side could even begin to challenge Poland, I fear we have seen the best this years World Cup is going to offer tonight, for sure!
  7. Spot on, this is a proper Speedway meeting, unlike that pathetic 2 team utter farce on Saturday.
  8. What an utter pile of tripe so far, 2 man races every time, no excitement, gate and win borefest. Couldn't care less who wins just want to see some close racing and a bit of excitement!! Think I will be in for a LOOONNGGG wait!
  9. Nowt to do with the track, its the "quality" of virtually 50% of the riders tonight that will mean it's a borefest!. The only real excitement will be in the fact that scores between the Aussies and GB will be quite close but I very much doubt the racing will be unless you like 2 man races!!
  10. Well, without Doyle now and with a clever use of the joker, I reckon team GB can at least push Australia fairly close for most of the meeting. It's just a shame that the other two sides are going to be so hopelessly out of their depth (with the odd exception like Milik) that as a competitive 4 team meeting, it will be an utter, 2 rider per race, farce.
  11. Not really going to be much of a spectacle I fear, with in reality, only two teams in it and of those, Australia will be too strong for GB. The other 2 may as well not be there and I reckon there will be lots of VERY strung out racers and races!! Still, no doubt, the shouty twins will still find something to go ballistic over and start making their "monkey" noises when two riders actually get close to each other!
  12. Spot on. In all reality the rest of the season is all just preparation for Wolves, Belle Vue, Poole and Lynn for the play offs. There has never been a more predictable season in regards to who would qualify for the play offs, as it's been obvious right from April.
  13. BT must be thinking what have they let themselves in for after that complete load of rubbish last night!!! Have to say that I don't think the camera work and certainly the camera angles, were up to SKY's standard although the fact that we only had to hear Pearson and not actually see him, was a bonus!! (would be even better still if we didn't have to hear him too though!). Liked the lack of inane interviews between EVERY race and Natalie's presentation was good too. After that drivel last night, things can only get better for BT and their coverage, although I don't hold out much hope for their next league meeting as that will be a big disappointment too (for different reasons though i.e. the score line!)
  14. True, but what I was really getting at was that at least there was a pass between riders and a change for the lead for the first time all night!
  15. Woohoo, 11 heats in and finally we actually have a race worth watching!!
  16. How utterly crap is this meeting?!!!..... What a dire advert for the sport on BT's first (league meeting) effort. Rubbish track, rubbish racing, not even the shouty twins can get remotely excited about this!!
  17. Wouldnt think Australia would want to "risk" the race off with Sweden (probably), Russia and one other no hope team! so will be trying (at least) to have the strongest team possible for the 2 team round at Lynn next Saturday.
  18. All he cares about is £ The longer he keeps people there and the more bored they get when there's nothing going on, the more money they will spend in the bars/food stalls.
  19. Can't deny the bit about being loyal and a good servant to British speedway but surely he's had MORE than his fair share of "deserved" days out at Cardiff in the past few years when he has been an embarassment in the GP series?!
  20. Need to bring in the GP rule about official warnings for a jump/anticipated start and then the next time you do it you are kicked out. Look how disciplined the starts were on Saturday night in just the second meeting with the new rule in place. Trouble is, I think most promoters are happy for meetings to be delayed for numerous false starts as it then drives more people to the bars/food outlets etc!
  21. I've heard that Chapman gets rent from TSR and all the catering/bar monies (which is significant when the Stockies are on). TSR get the gate money (less various running expenses).
  22. What utter rubbish that was last night!!....worst GP for a long time. Can only get better...surely?!!....
  23. Can't see why anyone is surprised at KK's actions at all!! Said before the season started that one of the main reasons Poole will not do so well this season is the fact that he is the most unreliable (will only turn up when he can be bothered) and inconsistant (will only give 100% when it suits him too!) number 1 in the Premiership and NOTHING has changed my mind about this so far!
  24. Just don't get (and have said so before so this isn't bandwagon jumping) why on earth Greaves was brought back into top league speedway again this season! I don't profess to be an expert about speedway, but from witnessing his previous "attempts" at riding at the top level, it has been obvious to even me, that he is, always has been and always will be, a million miles away from ever being an Elite league quality rider, even at number 7!. Wolves have got to replace him now as he is going to cost them big time in any close meetings.
