  1. The promoters have put together what looks a decent side. Whilst I think schlein is a great signing my only concern is that he has had more bumps than a dodgem car! Anyway the side has been put together and its now over to the 7 riders.
  2. Too much speculation for my liking. Presumably whatever the line up is tomorrow this thread may well melt! As I said previously I just want last season's form and atmosphere to continue.
  3. Seems a reasonable agm to me in terms of structure. At least we get more meetings and the two leagues are closer together. Did I miss the bit about doubling up, is it still allowed?
  4. Nothing changes the status quo remains.
  5. Whilst I don't have the confidence that anything will change, The lakeside withdrawal from the EL will surely provide change in the top division. Presumably nothing else changes then, as I thought all teams had to declare intention to run before the agm.
  6. With Arena jumping out of the frying pan, which club or clubs are brave enough to jump into the fire? Perhaps this is the straw that breaks the camels back.
  7. Regardless of who's in what league, the punters want to see more fixtures.
  8. Presumably the increased attendances since July will have improved the coffers. However I think most are aware of the shockingly high cost of running a speedway team. I think we are lucky at Ipswich, I like most don't have any faith in the sport itself or rather the way it is run.
  9. Are we all assuming we are in the premier league next year?
  10. I didn't have a problem with the Rasmussen argument but like doubling up it got out of hand. I didn't have a problem with the Rasmussen argument but like doubling up it got out of hand.
  11. What ever the set up is, I want to see radical change not just window dressing. On an Ipswich note from July onwards I thought the season was thoroughly enjoyable and whilst I would prefer top league racing in whatever form, as long as we are competitive and challenging that's good for me.
  12. I get it now cheers, take away someone's earning power ( the tuners) and they'll make Genghis Khan look like a pacifist.
  13. So in essence tuners have become like football agents, leaches on the sport
  14. Would it be possible to have some kind of procurement system where all engines and supplies are given to all riders at the same cost direct from the supplier. Surely at NL level it could work. Then the machine examiner makes sure no one tampers with anything.
  15. Does that include promoters who spit out their dummies and call a meeting off a few hours before the start because they don't like the opposition line up😀
  16. Apologies I couldn't resist it. Looking at radical cost cutting solutions, particularly for riders. What happened to the Honda experiment at Sheffield a few years back? 17. Perhaps it was the turkeys voting for Christmas meeting 😅
  18. And there was me hoping for some sensible replies 😮
  19. Phil, surely there must be some kind of structure to the meeting.
  20. General question, is it a set agenda or are motions proposed by the various promoters, or is it a general discussion to begin with.

  22. I thought part of the plan was to bring the track up to FIM standard.
  23. Assuming all these plans go ahead, when are we getting the world cup or British final😊 and not a half baked el pairs final like 2010.
