They say to win the league you not only need a good team but you need to meet opponents at the "right time" Swindon in the cup - r/r for Ellis netting 17 points including a rides for the red hot Morris Wolverhampton away - Schlein and Riss M for Skor and Cleggy was a massive upgrade, probably the decision that may give them another league title Poole away - yep KK gets injured and its that Morris boy again Somerset away - your joking, three out and three in OK the jury is still out if Rye House can up their game to make a push for the title but we certainly seem to be at the wrong track at the wrong time

Poole Pirates Vs Rye House Rockets 10/5/17

So we couldn't have r/r for robbo, of course I missed p211, paragraph 6, section 4a, sub-section 2, appendix 1X of the speedway rule book, silly me -

We take the loss on the chin and well done Poole, but three points did wrangle me last night 1) r/r for Robbo (one ride for Wells and three for Branford/Perks) was never as good as a suitable guest (how about Bellego) Wells r/r in heat 1 was silly as it left Branford and Perks in heat 8 against Holder and probably Klindt (even worse with Perks withdrawing after heat 4) But the cherry on the cake was no T/S for Harris in heat 7 (or even any of his rides) reminds me of Peterboro away last year with fiasco of Branford and Morley in heat 14 Come on Peter S there is more to being a team manger than just being a decent bloke. -

Cor, you Poole lot are a happy lot. One home defeat and its naval gazing, we are also use to losing at home once A WEEK. -

We are going as well, never seen racing at Poole (been to the track though) where are any Rye fans planning to be at the ground? -
Rye House V Leicester... Premiership... 1st May, 2pm

Or the type of flu that affects National League matches more than Premiership matches. In short Ellis has been a revelation this season and in hindsight he really doesn't need NL commitments after all (just look at Workington score compared to his match at Redcar to see he isn't 100%) -

Cut Eddie some slack here please, I will take it as gospel about the migrane, remember 28 points out of 30 in the last two meetings, in matches that had no margin for error. Look forward to the next meeting when he can shut up all the doubters. -

Rye House V King's Lynn 15/04/17
Rayleigh replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Croc tears, Over the last few years Kings Lynns home record was very good but they were let down on their travels (classic example of a home track bias) , maybe just maybe they do not have as neutral a track as much as they think, now poor Redcar and Scunthorpe suffer every year because theirs really IS a neutral track. -

Well what a moaning lot some fans Kings Lynn are: The Tracks rubbish - yes it was slick but after early rain I guess they got the watering wrong when the sun came out late afternoon Holders rubbish - maybe it just wasnt his night as there was no "gimme" points last night, but over the season I will swap him for Watt Lamberts rubbish - last time he broke the track record 3 times but now he has a "hurty" shoulder The stadiums rubbish - Now this one gets the biscuit, the stadium was pretty well condemned after the "untouchable" Len Silver ruined it and by all the accounts BMR are having to replace everything and there is an incredible amount to do, please give them time and support as this no doubt will be very very expensive. How disrespectful to critise another track just think of how poor Coventry fans feel right now, what would they give to be owned by BMR. You have a very useful team this year (a number of posts from Rye House fans have praised the KL riders from last night) even maybe the champions in the end, so enjoy the season support your team and be as gracious as you can in defeat. -

Probably the best I have seen Kennett, not only 5 wins but in heats 10 and 13 the tension was mounting as the match was still in the melting pot and he delivered. A big heads up for Perks who really deserved his paid 10 and not for the first time this season (it seemed he was the sacrificial lamb at the start of the season)an great bonus fro the club. Also credit to Porsing and Rose who I thought did really well for KL, with Holder and Lambert winning one race BETWEEN them. Although not much overtaking I felt it was a thoroughly absorbing evening from two evenly matched teams Sad if Watt really left the stadium after heat 11, whilst the more he tried the worst it seams to get, how about supporting your teammates as the match was far from over -
I am one to advocate "give it some time" but noticeable last night no Rye House rider in double figures. Need a better result tonight but already struggle to see us getting 40, hope to swallow humble pie though. p.s. is Nick Morris on one of Ivan Maugers 600cc bikes? what a start to the season.

When I got to Berrington Lough it P##sed down which was ironic as the team sponsors were DryBorough

Sorry Shadders thought you were going for the last time, only asked as I have never been to the Abbey Stadium, Berrington Lough and Powderhall yes but not Swindon.

Shadders, where are you standing tomorrow as we will be on the way.

Yep we are coming as well

Rye House Vs Swindon 08.04.17
Rayleigh replied to phillipsr's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I didn't see anyone predicting an away win BEFORE the meeting last night and I was one who got it wrong big time although there were two points with contributed but not exonerated my inexactitude. No Branford (needs an explanation), Ellis r/r 10 points and I forgot how well Grondal rode at Rye last year then he couldn't beat a drum for the rest of the season. As always its the silly season where people overreact after two meetings but it must he said this week becomes a big week for Watt with away meetings at big tracks that he likes (Swindon and KL) and then a third home meeting, if he doesn't deliver by this time next week his place needs to be seriously looked at as without Coventry there are not that many meetings this season. Having "missed the target" on my prediction last night I will now say don't write this tie off yet (but we need Branford and Perks) as last year 6 of our riders had better away averages than home when it is usual to only have one or two riders. Finally amongst the gloom another great effort from Perks, so much for making up the numbers. -

Rye House 60 Swindon 30 Two reasons, people have hugely underestimated the depth of the Rye side and Doyle wont score huge, he won only 1 race from 5 at Leicester (his previous home track. Early season "form" like that will put a huge dent in his 13 point average allowing some big team changes shortly. Call me cynical but been going to speedway too long to be know if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck its most probably a .... -
Just like to wish Warren Scott and Steve Jensen all the best for tonight and this season. Its very brave and no little risky what they have done so lets hope it goes brilliantly. Rye House 52 Wolverhampton 38

I really do believe Warren WILL do a great job for Rye but there is a hell of a lot of work to do
