King's Lynn V Rye House 19/07/17

We have already had one meeting cancelled at KL this season due to a 5 mile an hour wind (24 hours before the meeting) so no chance if there is a semi black cloud around Norwich on Wednesday. -
Interesting comments from Startline Sid who I have always found a sensible and balanced person. I missed the Kings Lynn situation but at Swindon he ran in two pathetic last places then decided to come from last to first whooping Nick Morris in the process, then produced another tailed off at the back race. Immediately we went to the pits where my friend was going to offer him a sizable cheque to score double figures away from home but he was packed up and gone and thats the captain, also Batchelor (guest not team member) was still having his photo taken with fans.

Well said royal, no, I don't like the logo but I suspect Hackney, Crayford, Exeter, Canterbury, Wimbledon, Reading, Newport, Bristol, Boston, Norwich, Southampton, Weymouth etc etc fans would reluctantly change their logo to have their team racing again.

3.68 away average for a number 1 says it all and that's when hes available and not long tracking or what ever (oh and don't forget the great home rider bombed in heat 13 and 15 in the big boys races in our home defeat against Belle Vue). Sedgman won three heats AT Kings Lynn this year. How can this be a crap decision? Im fed up of having a team of "nice riders" who fold like a pack of cards away time and time again
-
At Swindon it was so apparent that this team was simply not up to it away from home and fans would have shouted that every other team have made changes but not us, well we have and who knows it might just pay off, at least we tried to roll the dice, how about getting behind the team and if it doesn't work, moan then.
-
Thumbs up for the BT camera view mainly from the start and quite low, never understood why Sky showed the bend action from about 100 feet up on the second bend, how many fans watch the racing from that position ...... exactly. Overall they made a meeting on a crap track very watchable.

Kennett had to go, really tough on Perks though lets hope their is a plan to bring him back soonest. We just didn't have a true number 1 this season, look how Cook finished the match at Poole in Heats 13 & 15 so the only way this team can improve is to have an all round scorecard with a trump at Reserve (Robbo) and the changes albeit risky do have a chance to work. We were going nowhere, so at least the promoters have tried something. Back to Perks, many thanks for your efforts young ma, you have been THE bright light this season and hope you will be back soon.
-
What ever the facts respect to Steve Jenson for putting his side forward instead of the normal promoters who just ignore their fans. Yes, the season is far from over but I have now come to belief that the playoffs are too far off for this team.
-
Whether Kennett should or shouldnt have ridden at Belle Vue is up to interpretation of the stupid rules, but what is not up for interpretattion is the very late updating of the fans, I very nearly travelled to Manchester but I would have been miffed to arrive only to learn of his absence when the people in the know must have known for some while.

Another collapse afer a battling performance, but this ones on Kennett, Our guest 2 their guest 15.
-
Thanks for that Robbobee, it looks like Diane Abbott was on the calculator again.
-
Is this right? our new team average is 38.07, if so then replacing Branford would give us 7.08 to play with thus allowing us a pretty decent Championship rider and push Robbo to reserve. That would change things significantly
-
Despite me being a fan, clearly there is a problem with Branford this season and he is a passenger that we just cannot carry at present, can there not be a direct swap for Kasper Lukke. He would be at reserve where he would score a bundle especially at home.

Average regarding points or average regarding psycho?
-
I have to say I was generally disappointed with the Rockets tonight, after losing a close one the night before I expected a "fired up " team, well 26 - 10, it wasn't the response I was expecting.and despite the scoreline being only 8 points we never really looked like getting a point. I am struggling with Kennetts away form (3.29 before tonight and he didn't even match that) and actually a stunning ride in Heat 11 actually made the other 3 last places seem worse. Many thanks Batchelor for a great "guest" performance but a special mention should be also be given to Perks who but for a fall in the lead of Heat 2 and a close overtake of third, would have scored paid 11. The surprise of the season.

14/6/17 Rye House V Belle Vue

Inspired, it was a no brainer, one guest won heat 15 the other wasn't nominated. -
Matej Kus - star man at Berwick then star man at Redcar and not to shabby at Newcastle, if fact did so well that his average cost him a place

Weather update anybody please as I have a long journey to get to leicester -
A decent win for the Rockets tonight, expecting a quagmire and got the "blue groove" instead. Overall felt it was a fair score. Kennett - Through the card, what an enigma 16 home wins this season 2 away wins this season. Robbo - glad your back seem to get better as the meeting progressed Harris - always thought this was not a great home track for the racer but heat 8 was worth suffering the cold for Wells - 6 from 3 and a tape exclusion when other riders moved first, think his partnership with Harris can be the strength of the team Nicholls - the best I have seen him, the opposite to Harris I thought this would be his type of track when he gets dialled in a hopefully that's what is happening Branford - A slower start to the season than many expected although still not a passenger, battled really hard tonight culminating in keeping Graj on a black and white in last place Perks - one of the biggest surprises in the country this season and didn't expect much tonight having rushed back from injury, deserved more as was leading one race when it was stopped and as in speedway finishes last in the re-run and fell whilst in 3rd on last lap. For Somerset, a number of hit and miss riders with Lawson probably the best. Will rue Graj not scoring on a T/S and Heeps would have hoped and could of had many more.
