Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018
Axeman replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
"So anyway we need to spend so much money on bikes and new rules with having oil catchers and they go put a can of oil on the track. What a disgrace to British speedway." Where in the above statement is Robert saying that the oil was on the track during the meeting? -
I just hope some of you never end up doing jury service when you are told the truth/facts you still judge whatever you want, I think arriving at an away track 41/2 hrs before a meeting is more than enough time, not even sure the gate at Leicester would have been open anyway. Never mind it will only be someone else fault when its your flight delayed.

Well done to whoever No TV deal this year. Pay / Points capped for riders. New this year, any "GP star" who wants to ride in GB this coming season will have to pay a Minimum £100.00 for each meeting to help the promoters make ends meet !!!!

Time to stop the play acting and get behind whatever team turns out for the stars this year, if you are a win only follower then you may need to find something else to do on a Thursday night. If like myself you are fan of the sport you will be there each week whether its is the Elite League or National League whether we are top or bottom of the league.

If I told you where I got the info (very reliable) from I might as well tell you the name, my guess is it will be announced after tomorrow nights "Tatum & Pearson Roadshow" so this show is not hijacked with the moans & groans.

There's one thing certain about some of you panther fans, and that is what ever Robert does you will slate him. Yes he is learning and maybe has more to learn. If you must all keep comparing riders do it by age, it is not his fault that the prevoius number is out injured and he is scoring more points than anyone else in the team. Come on Robert keep annoying them.

In Germany is he, that is Interesting he must have a twin, Blame your management or one of them he was there when Robert was signed off with hip problems, but then you don't want the truth as it would make you and all the others feel a bit guilty, and it seems to me you would be happy for a rider who in his last race went from 1st to 3rd and wishing the race was only 2 laps long. Then take that rider all the way north, who can hardly hold the bike up on the track is asking for trouble with two meetings on the trott.

Sheffield V Panthers Pl (thursday 14-05-2015 7.30pm)
Axeman replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So it's get rid is it, how many of you lot on here are honest enough to say that you have never been absent from work/school or wherever because you have been unwell, mind you he could have said nothing turned up, done his four races pulling out each or just go through the motions not score a point and all would be fine. I am in no doubt like me, there will people on here who wish him a speedy recovery and return to racing the way in which we know he can. Get well Robert. -
King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
Axeman replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
Robert still keeps being knocked, not by all, for only riding at the NA, I sometimes wonder how do you explain the obvious as stated and reported, that he is riding else where or travelling on the dates that the Young Stars are away. No flights on offer at his age, as he is still learning his trade and like many spends hours on the road in a van. What also amazes me is how some seem to think the NA is the only track in the UK he has rode, yes there are some he has not, but he has (including Cardiff) rode and been successful on a lot of other tracks of various length and surfaces to suggest he will do well at any track in the uk, he may not win every race but he will sure try as he knows no other way. As for comparing him to all the other names that have been mentioned in various post and forums forget it, Robert is Robert and no one knows what is going to happen in the future. Knowing him like I do he will probably end up as a ski instructor / host and as some may have guessed he is good at that as well. So lets recap he is BRITISH - 15yrs old - scored 56+1pts in 3 meetings 1 last place (when his clutch failed) a friend and he rides at the home of the Kings Lynn Stars that will do me. Well done Robert, safe travel and a win for Olching at the weekend. -
Today (27th May 12) a 14yr old British speedway rider achieved some incredible results whilst racing in Germany, firstly a 1st place in an U21 meeting going undefeated then in a second meeting, he gained a runner up spot with the big boys. Now some will say there are not many big boys in Germany but during the heats he beat the Brumbies rider Martin Smolinski, who returned the favour in the semi and the Final to take 1st place with Robert Lambert finishing 2nd and Tobias Kroner taking third place. Well done Robert. We hear so much from British promoters saying they don`t know where the next generation of world beaters are coming from, well open your eyes get the heads out of the sand because they are here, but not allowed to race. As stated at the start of this I mentioned Roberts age and despite the efforts of one British promoter he is not allowed to race in this country until he is 15yrs then only in the NL until he is 16yr. He has not entered the British U16 event as he feels he would not progress there as the competition is not strong enough, and I can assure you that is with no disrespect to any of the competing riders. He should be treated slightly different to most others due to his ability on the motorbike. That is why he has chosen to race in Germany; the Authorities there have been helpful though out, assisting him to gain a German licence which gives him more competitive racing which in turn helps him learn. His ambition is to be the best in the world (as all riders must want) but it seems to me that the authorities here will do their upmost to stop the learning curve. Next April Robert will be 15yr and would like to race here in Britain, but as he has a German licence (not passport he`s still British) some are saying he won`t be able to compete, Why? It has also been suggested that if he then did not "serve his apprentiship" in the NL he may be blocked from riding in the PL when 16yr, Why?. Perhaps he needs to live in Australia or Europe then he can come here regardless to ability. Some of you will be saying this writer knows Robert well and that my thoughts are biased, that may well be true and yes I know him, It will be interesting to read any replies as that is the one thing the British Authorities seem unable to do along with the FIM & ACU who all seem to have had input but will not put it in writing, or will they!!!!! Thanks for reading this and remember when one of the youngsters comes though and become World Champion, the first thing the BSPA will say is look at what we’ve done. RIP RICCO.
