Judging by some of the abuse Gleb Chuganov got on Twitter in the last week simply for being Russian, it is a real possibility that the four Russians may well pull out.

Looks like Mega Lada are not going to finish on the rostrum at this stage. I'm struggling to remember last time this happened!

That link appears to be off. Anyone got another link?

Thanks for that, I found this literally after I posted https://www.government.nl/latest/news/2022/02/15/3-steps-to-reopen-the-netherlands

Beat me to it Gary! Speaking with the Press Officer last week and its all about Stadium numbers. I understand that stadia in the Netherlands can only operate at 1/3 capacity (perhaps Jesper can confirm this), and the Dutch Government were due to meet on 15/2. I can't seem to find any news on this anywhere as to if the Dutch Government (a) met and discussed the situation; and/or (b) changed the rules. (Again, Can you enlighten us Jesper?)

Thanks for that. I seem to remember he got injured and had to pull out of the 2019 championship too.

Seeing as I was working yesterday covering Rochdale v Harrogate Town, what happened with Toloknov? I saw he only had three rides and assumed he must have fallen. Can someone enlighten me please?
-
Simply because the Russians were giving everyone a time & date to collect Visas. As Simon drives to all his meetings, he was told that he had to collect his Visa Today (Wednesday 9/2) which wasn't enough time for him to then drive to Togliatti. It was all on the Inn Isar Racing Team Instagram over the weekend

Thanks for that. In the past, Ufa's streams have been OK, but not exceptional

They have five teams in a meeting in the Super League with the pairs format that the SON used. The Major League has seven teams again using the SON Pairs format. This format was used in Russia and the Ice Team Championship long before BSI/IMG took it and ‘improved’ it. The other problem is that there seems to be fewer riders than before which means that some teams are a bit weak.

According to http://www.speedway-press.ru/2022/01/janRUSdanivanov.html he's been forced to withdraw as his injury was quite serious. From what I gather from a contact in Russia, he had internal bleeding after that crash in the First day of Final 1. Apparently Igor Kononov will become a permenant wild card in his place.

At this rate, Gunther Bauer's farewell meeting will become Luca Bauer's farewell if we're not careful!

RUSSIAN FINAL RESULT: Nikita Bogdanov 25 (12+13) Dmitri Koltakov 24 (13+11) Dmitri Khomitsevich 23 (9+14) Igor Kononov 23 (14+9) Nikita Toloknov 21 (11+10) Vasilli Nesytykh 19 (8+11) Nikita Tarasov 17 (7+10) Ivan Khuzhin 16 (6+10) Dmitri Solyannikov 14 (8+6) Ivan Bolshakov 13 (9+4) Eduard Krysov 12 (5+7) Igor Saydullin 11 (6+5) Saveli Vedyanov 6 (4+2) Vladimir Fadeev 5 (4+1) Matvey Volkov 5 (2+3) Artyom Burmistrov 5 (1+4) OVERALL: Nikita Bogdanov 49+3, Dmitri Khomitsevich 49+2, Dmitri Koltakov 47, Igor Kononov 42, Nikita Toloknov 40, Dmitri Solyannikov 39, V asilli Nesytykh 37, Ivan Khuzhin 31, Nikita Tarasov 29, Eduard Krysov 27, Igor Saydullin 23, Ivan Bolshakov 17, Vladimir Fadeev 13, Daniil Ivanov 11, Artyom Burmistrov 10, Matvey Volkov 8, Saveli Vedyanov 6, Alexei Kolganov 0, Dmitri Bulankin 0 Another cracking meeting with some of the new boys upsetting the established stars. Well done to Nikita Bogdanov, another Ufa star gets his chance in the ISG Qualifier. The run off with Khomitsevich showed that Bogdanov can pass and despite losing ground managed to to catch and pass Dmitri.

RUSSIAN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL 2, KAMENSK URAL WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 5 & THURSDAY, JANUARY 6 RESULT: Igor Kononov 14 Dmitri Koltakov 13 Nikita Bogdanov 12 Nikita Toloknov 11 Dmitri Khomitsevich 9 Ivan Bolshakov 9 Vasilli Nesytykh 8 Dmitri Solyannikov 8 Nikita Tarasov 7 Igor Saydullin 6 Ivan Khuzhin 6 Eduard Krysov 5 Saveli Vedyanov 4 Vladimir Fadeev 4 Matvey Volkov 2 Artyom Burmistrov 1 Quite a good stream today, and a multi camera production from the local TV Station. Some good racing today, and the title is still wide open with Kononov, Bogdanov, Solyannikov and Koltakov all in contention. Khomitsevich was unluckly to clip a bale when leading Heat 13, and get disqualified, otherwise he'd be in the points. Final round tomorrow.

RUSSIAN FINAL DAY 2 TOGLIATTI, WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 29 Dmitri Khomitsevich 26 (13+13) Dmitri Solyannikov 25 (13+12) Nikita Bogdanov 24 (15+9) Dmitri Koltakov 23 (9+14) Nikita Toloknov 19 (10+9) Igor Kononov 19 (11+8) Vasilli Nesytykh 18 (8+10) Ivan Khuzhin 15 (7+8) Eduard Krysov 13 (5+8) Nikita Tarasov 12 (5+7) Igor Saidullin 12 (6+6) Daniil Ivanov 11 (11+DNR) Vladimir Fadeev 8 (3+5) Artyom Burmistrov 5 (1+4) Ivan Bolshakov 5 (2+3) Matvey Volkov (res) 3 (0+3) Alexei Kolganov (Res) 0 (0+0) Dmitri Bulankin 0 (0+DNR) Shame for Bogdanov, only had to win his final heat to win the meeting and fell against three riders who weren't in contention. Dima K a worthy winner, but Koltakov was a diffreent rider today, dropping his only point to Bogdanov. Hopefully Ivanov will be fit for the next round but it appears he had to have an operation after his fall yesterday. Final 2 is at Kamensk Ural on January 5/6

Looks like Daniil Ivanov will miss todays racing, he's posted a story pic on his Instagram page of him in hospital, saying he'll be missing today, and he has another scar! Racing starts at 3pm GMT again on the Mega Lada Live You Tube channel. https://www.youtube.com/c/MegaLadaLive

RUSSIAN FINAL DAY 1 TOGLIATTI, TUESDAY DECEMBER 28 Nikita Bogdanov 15 Dmitri Khomitsevich 13 Dmitri Solyannikov 13 Daniil Ivanov 11 Igor Kononov 11 Nikita Toloknov 10 Dmitri Koltakov 9 Vasilli Nesytykh 8 Ivan Khuzhin 7 Igor Saidullin 6 Nikita Tarasov 5 Eduard Krysov 5 Vladimir Fadeev 3 Ivan Bolshakov 2 Artyom Burmistrov 1 Dmitri Bulankin 0 Matvey Volkov (res) 0 Alexei Kolganov (Res) 0 Nikita Bogdanov untouchable today, with a max. Ivanov had a fall in his final heat, whilst a third for Khomitsevich behind Ivanov and Solyannikov. Koltakov doesn't look his former self, and appears to be struggling a bit. Day 2 Tomorrow at 3pm UK Time

Didn't you get a photo of him at Inzell riding inside the blue line on the edge of the track like a wall of death rider? Or was that Lars? I know I got it but I remember saying that mine wasn't as good as yours as you had the better angle on it.

Got to be a few years ago. Good to see he's still riding as he hits his 50s.
