  1. Nice wee bit in today's 'Daily Star'.... (except I don't know how to paste it here -- any takers?)
  2. Future new Bandits, especially younger ones, will be able to avail themselves of as many laps as they need, all day, every day, when the Berwick Speedway Academy is up and running in the not-too-distant future.
  3. Yes, hope Karger can repay the faith they're showing. But you don't mention the dust...........
  4. These cruciate ligaments take a while.
  5. Garrity is listed by Sheffield in their regular line-up, posted on SCB web. PL match followed by Sheffield v Halifax in MDL.
  6. That's good to hear. We like talent!
  7. Sudden surge of interest in this one, with Romano Hummel coming into the Bandits' team (nice to see the club extending thanks to Henning Bager for stepping in on his short-term contract at such short notice) and another chance to see the much-talked-about Dan Bewley, too. Bring it on!
  8. Well, on another slant, the club last month launched an offer to every living former Bandit -- each will be granted a lifetime free pass to all Shielfield meetings. This has been highlighted on other social media this week. A good thing?
  9. Maybe you should ask Taffy, he seems to know all about it!
  10. You'll surely get your wish. With the new averages, Scott has a fair 1-5 to choose from --- whichever he puts in the #4 jacket will be pretty solid, I'd guess.
  11. Might the last many posts not get more interest on a Comics' thread? Meanwhile, back on the right-hand coast there's an e-Newsletter out, with details of a revised Bandits' line-up and of progress at Duns.
  12. That's the stuff, Mockingjay, you tell 'em.... (does the name-change mean you've stopped smoking?)
  13. The only logical wild cards to the Final have to go to Danny King (absent through BSPA f.u) and Kyle Newman (genuinely injured). Anyone who contested a semi, and wasn't good enough to qualify, should be told to come back next year and try again.
  14. The enquiry from Workington was to go there for the Premier League match. But it isn't happening, by cheerful mutual agreement.
  15. So the injury jinx once again hits us where it hurts. You could hardly make it up. Danny Ayres of Glasgow will take over at No 7 tonight. Onward and upward!
  16. Which is why the Bandits' promotion made sure it wouldn't be changed.
  17. That's what Berwick understand. Their visit is still to be July 15th.
  18. Prospects of some entertainment this week, for sure. Can any Bandit lower Steady's colours? Tigers have changed their team and reintroduced Arthur Sissis for this one, ahead of Richard Hall. Bandits have all the same riders, but not necessarily in the same order (with apologies to Eric Morecambe).
  19. Oops! How do we go about removing accidental duplications? Please disregard this one!
  20. What I'm saying is that, because he did not contest PL racing in 2015, Seb returned to an average assesed (by whatever formula) as 7.37 The same is true for Charlie Gjedde (ha!) at Plymouth and indeed Henning Bager. This has kept Seb on that average in May because he had not raced 4 home, 4 away official matches before the cut-off date of April 20th. Thus, while everyone else's average changed slightly from May 1st, (and will change again on June 1st) Seb's is pegged at 7.37 until seven days after his 4th away match on May 28th, weather permitting. By which time he will have achieved a 'proper' average again -- which may (or may not) advance him to No 1.
  21. Berwick did have a No 1 in place at the start. His name is Sebastian Alden, but he has been required to start on an assessed average, which has not yet changed, unlike the other riders in the squad. To suggest Thomas Jorgensen should be released is idiocy.
  22. Your post on the Berwick 2016 thread six minutes ago, numbnuts!
