  1. I'd be pretty sure Jye will be at 3, Dany at 6. But it's a solid squad however they line up!
  2. With Lindman, the average age of the team was 28 years, seven months. With Theo, it will be 30 years, 6 months. Older, but better?
  3. This comes up time and again. Denmark only has priority when the rider is a Dane, not a Brit!
  4. Yes ma'am, away at Armadale on 29th, back home on the 30th. I heard a whisper that, if we make the Final (and why not?) it'll maybe -- just maybe -- be on Sept 1st.......
  5. ...and it is announced that Bandits will welcome Theo Pijper back to the team from Saturday onwards. Should help, especially at away matches.
  6. Yes, they're on the SGB website for all to see.....
  7. No, because my post was from the car park as l was leaving the pub, and by the time l saw Arch's message (sent 15 minutes later) l was already a few miles away at my hotel. Where, right now, at tapes-up time, it remains dry. But the weather means nothing, as the meeting is off. The Witches live to fight another day!
  8. Well, l'm standing in the car-park of the Golf Hotel in Foxhall Road. It is 5.45. It has definitely stopped raining, and the sky is clearing. Hmmm.
  9. Because (as most people know) SCB regulation 16.5.1(h) requires a rider who is sick or carrying a non-speedway injury to receive a mandatory 7-day suspension from UK racing from the date of the first meeting missed. However, SVEMO do not operate under the SCB regulations.
  10. Sorry, that's pish. Robert Lambert is an ACU rider, and his commitment is to his home-country club. Your Danish riders equally have to go back if their clubs are riding on a Wednesday, as their licences are issued by the DMU. My question would be, why -- if this was clearly going to be a problem -- would Wednesday-night clubs even think of employing one Dane, let alone four of the bacon-munchers? Britain's clubs met, discussed and voted on fixed race nights. Live with it, it's called democracy. Next thing, we'll have people trying to say that, although the majority of the nation voted for Brexit, they didn't really mean it, and can we just do something else......? Oh, wait....
  11. Yip, all meetings at Berwick (including recent British U-21 Final) are filmed by Tapes Up Productions. Available at track of course, and from Tapes Up website.
  12. While the Witches' faithful (or unfaithful) have rather taken over this match thread now, perhaps I could gently point out that -- right now -- reference to the BSPA website, and the Championship league table shows the Bandits are on top! It won't last, probably not even when this afternoon's results are in, but right here, right now, Bandits are top of the table after defeating two of this season's much-more-fancied sides....... (If I knew how to take a screenshot of the table and paste it on here, I surely would!)
  13. Well, tonight the texter on Speedway Updates seemed to find some good racing...
  14. Let's end this one. Mrs Lawson was taken into hospital late on Friday night. Lakeside given a facility by MC to allow Richard Lawson to be with her. There was no complaint by Berwick about this, and with the lady now back home and resting, Richard can resume racing, as he did last night.
  15. So? It was never suggested he was ill on Saturday. It was a family member.
  16. Absolutely correct! A great wee mini-match, and well worth staying back for on a chilly night. Berwick Academy won in the end, but it was nip and tuck all the way. Great stuff!
  17. While agreeing he looked woeful at Armadale, his ride in Heat 12 tonight was purposeful and spirited. He will drop to reserve from May 1st which might benefit both club and rider.
  18. My post followed the one which added that there was also NJL action on Friday, meaning that the meeting might be attractive to a wider than usual audience. Nothing else......
  19. Fair enough, as a contest it was well over at the interval at 20-40. Although Berwick did 'win' the last five heats 21-9! But define 'entertainment'. Do you mean the team losing, or more than that?
  20. Comeback anytime, Bruno! Bring your homeless friends, but never give up hoping for your new track.
