  1. Listed for Thursday against P'boro -- but only if cleared to race by SCB.
  2. Getting back to league business again, Bandits will be boosted by their well-deserved (unlucky not to win, but....) draw at Redcar -- and the Bullets will need to keep up home form if they are to stay on top of NDL in what might well be the league decider.
  3. Ipswich look like they jumped the gun in their statement, then....
  4. There's no such rule as "all four back" in a case of first bend bunching. If the referee stops a race -- at any point, first bend or not -- he "shall disqualify the rider he deems responsible for the stoppage"
  5. Exactly right. Edinburgh do everything themselves at virtually no cost after investing in the equipment, so if they get 250 viewers at £12 (or whatever) a go, that's £3k into the coffers per meeting. Plus, they have the (in my view sensible) local blackout to encourage their core support to still come to meetings. If Glasgow, Berwick or whoever use an outside contracter to stream for them, the revenue drops right off......
  6. It looks OK. Public still get 15 heats, and the races all seem fairly competitive.
  7. We need to remember that around half their rolling averages were created in 2019...
  8. He would revert to the BSPL when Eastbourne folded, as would any other club assets -- most were loanees, however.
  9. Nobody mentioning that Poles -- at least PZM licenced Poles -- aren't allowed in the Championship?
  10. Kyle Bickley is unwell, and will be replaced tonight by Greg Blair.
  11. Mind you, this move brings Plymouth right in line with the best teams in the league. Who knows that they might spring a surprise in these last away matches?
  12. Yeah, sure.... How did that work at Newcastle, when an outgoing, failed promotion stitched Rob Grant up?
  13. Unless the new Plymouth line-up -- and it's suddenly pretty tasty -- starts winning away, and creeps into those play-offs? A long shot, I know -- but when you look at their new team.....
  14. With an intriguing new formula, a programme might be a useful asset on Saturday night. As well as a cracking publication!
  15. Just not true. A tale that has grown wings. Any rider, currently in any 1-7 (including Eastbourne's, until anything changes permanently) can guest for anyone.
  16. If Eastbourne close -- and I hope and pray they will not -- their rider-assets devolve to the SCB/BSPL. I suspect that's only Tom Brennan from the current line-up. The others -- loanees --will go back under the wing of whosoever "owns" their registration -- mostly Premiership clubs? But even returned loanees would still be under SCB/BSPL control in such circumstances, and while MC permission might well be granted to allow clubs with long-term gaps (Glasgow for Ostergaard, Redcar for Stewart) to sign such riders "in the best interests of the sport" it might not be as easy for other clubs to just take on a former Eagle to bolster their side. That kind of move is -- surely -- less likely to gain MC approval without some further discussion. However, as I said above, let's hope for the miracle.
  17. Luke was in some difficulty after Monarchs' match with Kent. Seen by paramedic. May not be fit.
  18. Only if they've been indoctrinated that winning is everything. Plenty of regular attendees (note l don't say fans) go to a speedway be entertained, to enjoy a night out in convivial company and to watch a good contest, good racing and a thrill and spill. Your team wins, yes that's nice too, but it shouldn't be everything.
  19. Definately agree on Kelpies. Much-more impressive than the Wheel (and virtually next door)
  20. Um, l don't think so, Steve. Matty (r/r) has been moved to #2 in line-up.
