  1. With Armadale (and others) possibly be facing a log-jam of fixtures in October, we should remember that -- while the rule-book states a season should end on October 31st, it also offers the caveat of meetings being held after that date with specific written permission of the SCB. Given the unprecedented circumstances governing 2021, it is surely the case that permission would be granted to allow final fixtures to run into the first week of November.
  2. No limit to number of times, but the usual 8-day rule prevents using him at the same track in successive weeks, l think.
  3. Bullets' win tonight -- when last did we see a 39-48 result over fifteen heats? -- puts them back on top of the NDL table. Some impressive scoring, too -- Luke Crang 16, and Kieran Douglas a very handy 9+2.
  4. Well, if you want a result -- how about the win at Kent tonight? Top of the table again!
  5. As the earlier post states, Poole get the choice of which quarter-final winner they will race against in the semi-final -- they will not be able to choose Glasgow, who will not have contested the quarter-finals. Poole also have choice of holding first or second leg of their semi (and final, if they progress). As quoted, this is all listed in rule-book: 012.1.1
  6. Oops! My omission. As a side-note, Jade Mudgway and Ty Proctor are also returning to their saddles in this one.
  7. Kasper Andersen included in field for Julie Lewis meeting tonight at Redcar, with outings for Greg Blair and Luke Crang too.
  8. That was with both teams running r/r into the bargain! Well done to both squads, and to the referee (a Mr McGregor, l believe)....
  9. Birmingham running with Connor Coles at #2 (no facility for the ever-absent Grobauer) and have Edinburgh's Drew Kemp on RS duty....
  10. Not strictly true -- he could guest for any of your top three..........
  11. Then again, if (and l stress if) Birmingham beat Glasgow, they would jump up to fifth in the final table, with Scunthorpe dropping out of the play-offs altogether!
  12. The Friday tracks have a strict pecking order. Edinburgh is first, l'm not sure who comes next - maybe Scunny? But what this means is that, if drawn against each other, the 'senior' club will ride on Friday, and their opponents will probably race the return leg off-night.
  13. Meeting will be fully live-streamed, as all fixtures are from Armadale. Available worldwide, except for those within 25 miles of the track. Details from club website...
  14. Are you sure the October 1-7 will be the same? No-one moving up/down?
  15. Facts are only opinions, but stated in a louder voice
  16. It is mandatory for at least four riders from each team (not juniors) to participate in the annual track collections. Getting the four or more riders to assist is the responsibility of the two team managers. Reg. 02.2.14(h)
  17. First round playoffs are 3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th. Then table-topper gets pick of the winners.
  18. Isn't it the case that you have to lodge the declared line-up three days prior to a meeting, and while a rider can be directly replaced if he becomes unavailable, you can't otherwise jiggle the line-up?
  19. Sincerely hope not -- last week the referee allowed Erik Riss the mother of all flying rollers from the start of Heat 13, giving Birmingham a fortunate 5-1 which contributed to their draw!
  20. That's unfortunately the case. Berwick have pulled a rabbit out the hat this Saturday by "signing up" Jason Crump as a guest #1 in his spot against Glasgow.
  21. It is a sporting contest. Make up all the rules you want -- but they have to be on a level playing field. A penalty when three goals down? Certainly -- but it has to apply to home and away teams equally. This isn't a defence of tactical subs one way or another -- all I want to emphasise is that home or away doesn't matter in a sporting contest -- the same rules have to apply to each side.
  22. So we insist that Man United have to give visiting teams a goal of a start at Old Trafford, because they have home advantage? Pish!
  23. The annual track collection by riders for the (very deserving) SRBF will take place on Saturday evening.
  24. Nonsense -- it is a sporting contest, and there should be one rule for all. Tac subs for home or away teams.
