I'm not sure about Jye riding? The team has been re-jigged and declared this morning with Spud at #5 for Reggie, and r/r at #3 for Leon. Bomber, Jonas and Theo all took heavy knocks last night, but are ready to race. In addition to the knocks and bruises -- only Nathan Stoneman wasn't involved in a heavy crash at Ashfield -- there are several badly-damaged bikes to be straightened and repaired before 7pm. No rest for the wicked! Onward and upward!

That's correct. Jonas Knudsen was booked last night, and made arrangements to travel to Ipswich, only to learn this morning that the booking had been knocked back. -
Yes. Flies out of Manchester very early Saturday morning.

They should be. Not aggregate scoring.

Once again, the FTS Bandits lose a rider to international duty, with Leon Flint called up by Team GB to contest U-19 Euro Pairs (with Oxford's Sam Hagon) in Latvia on Saturday. However, the squad welcome back former captain Aaron 'Spud' Summers to take Leon's place for what is a very important cup-tie against the Bears, who have snapped up former Bandit Kyle Bickley following the closure of Newcastle. Kyle remains at Berwick as a Bullet, captaining the NDL squad, and will doubtless be anxious to prove the Bandits wrong for letting him move on. Following the main event, there will be another NJL mini-match, this week between Berwick's Academy youngsters and Tees=side Tigers. FTS Bandits: 1 Chris Harris (capt), 2 Theo Pijper, 3 Jye Etheridge, 4 Ricky Wells, 5 Aaron Summers (guest), 6 Jonas Knudsen, 7 Nathan Stoneman Bears: 1 Charles Wright, 2 Jason Edwards, 3 Erik Riss, 4 Kasper Andersen, 5 Lewis Kerr, 6 Kyle Bickley, 7 Jordan Jenkins Academy: 1 Ace Pijper, 2 Owen Booth, 3 Stene Pijper, 4 Liam Morris Tigers: 1 Edward Davidson, 2 Laylen Richardson, 3 Dan McTeer, 4 Rocco Webb To encourage their preferred policy of pre-payment, the club will continue their "Kids Go Free" deal for customers who their tickets online. Adults £17, Concession/OAP/Students £13, accompanied Juniors (12-15) £5 -- free if booked online. Accompanied Children (Under 12) £1 -- free if booked online. Oxford v Plymouth. 6/7/22

However, the club (same league) still has to 'release' the rider for a guest booking. There might be an unseen factor, such as the rider using bikes provided by, and belonging to, his home promotion. In that case, he might not be allowed to use the equipment (for sensible reasons) to protect it from overuse. -

If a club wants to book a guest, they go through the subject rider's own club to book him. Obviously, they may have checked with the rider beforehand to ascertain his availability, but the booking is with the parent club. -

Kemp's performances at Armadale were very mixed, from maximum to very, very poor. Friday's result hangs on which Drew Kemp turns up. -

Leicester can maintain continuity by hosting Cubs' matches on blank Saturdays. Same is true for Berwick, Edinburgh, Oxford and Plymouth. No need to worry about short season for tracks with NDL teams. -

Saturday sees the home debut of new Bandits Jonas Knudsen and Nathan Stoneman in a meeting being streamed live around the planet by the BSN. Jye Etheridge returns to home-track action as well, Berwick being able to track a full 1-7 at Shielfield for the first time since April. Please note the 7.30pm start, this to allow spectators who have been watching the GB/World Test Match at Glasgow sufficient time to reach Shielfield Park after the Ashfield meeting closes. FTS Bandits: 1 Chris Harris (capt), 2 Theo Pijper, 3 Jye Etheridge, 4 Ricky Wells, 5 Leon Flint, 6 Jonas Knudsen, 7 Nathan Stoneman Pirates: 1 Steve Worrall, 2 Drew Kemp, 3 Danny King (capt), 4 Zach Cook, 5 Richard Lawson, 6 Ben Cook, 7 Nathan Ablitt To encourage their preferred policy of pre-payment, the club will continue their "Kids Go Free" deal for customers who book their tickets online. Trouble being, as I see it, with both being Saturday tracks (and Leicester using the Thompsons in both their teams) Berwick have to find a Saturday the Lions/Cubs aren't racing, or go "off night" as their seniority for Saturdays is wiped out by the postponement. Fortunately, being a KO Cup semi-final, it could be held over a while and the Final arranged (with Fen Tigers' blessing) later on in the year.
