Are there any other UK tracks with Armco barriers which don't have foamfences?
-
Foamfences don't lift! They are 'way safer than air-fences. The news that Scunny are upgrading to foam is very, very welcome.

Too much info on your love-life, Lisa? -
Connor had been riding junior speedway for five years or so in Australia before coming over to Scotland at 16 to join the Tigers.

Its not any kind of daft idea. Berwick have operated this sort of thing (outside of lockdown) with donations taken at practices for causes such as BenFund and local causes connected with the club for a good few years. -
Not that you're biased or anything

It might aid his case if he said publicly that he didn't agree with the invasion. Also, while having him racing in Britain would be superb, making the public announcement of the proposed signing today of all days was not at all clever.

Be careful what you wish for...... -
This is the tip of an iceberg speedway (and every other 'extreme' sport) must face in future. The ban on motorsport in Ulster will force all branches of all disciplines to look hard at their control procedures and all forms of insurance for activities. The ACU/SCB would be remiss if they did not take every prudent step to protect their product, ensure their licences allow speedway in the rest of the UK to continue under properly-controlled, legally-insured conditions.

Owen made good progress last season after linking with Berwick Academy, and has every chance of continuing to improve in 2023.

If it did, it would be 2 down. But it won't, I agree -
Getting himself right back in the groove, Rory Schlein raced undefeated in Adelaide tonight to be crowned 2023 South Australian Champion.

Blandford Forum 'Fannies'? -
I think -- not stating anything as fact -- that, as the SRBF is funded by track collections, it is ready to assist a rider injured while riding on an ACU/SCB circuit. A rider who is injured riding on a NORA track (and isn't contracted to a regular British club) could hardly be expected to draw assistance, if he (or she) suffers from such misfortune. Maybe NORA could set up a Fund to help riders injured at any of their meetings?

First met Steve Casey at Uxbridge in 1971, when he was riding in the cycle-speedway finals (against, among others, later Glasgow promoter Neil Grant) and again regularly at Belle Vue in the mid-eighties. Always cheerful, always looking forward to the next challenge. Last time was at the rain-ruined British Final last season, and I was pleased and proud to have him as a friend. RIP

In these happy days, the Wasps would bring over 250 travelling fans north! A bit different to Poole's current small band of camp-followers, and certainly not worth switching off a regular Friday night at either Ashfield or Armadale for......

Plus seven Chargers matches, still to be announced!

The clubs with NDL teams will be able to pad out their list, offer continuity to their fans.
