  1. It's going to take a lot to finish above King's Lynn now tbh although still do- able for Somerset. They would have to pick wins from Leicester and Belle Vue and win against Kings Lynn putting them on 51/52/53 and lets face it King's Lynn beating Leicester twice putting them on 50. We would then have to hope nothing comes from their trip to Wolves.
  2. Who said Poole are going to beat us? Besides on this showing there is every chance King's Lynn could pick Poole.
  3. Can only see a big victory imho. NKB is arguably stronger than BWD atm looking at his scores for Leicester and with no Schlien for Wolves it puts pressure on the rest. Masters and Thorsell are capable of taking no. 1 rides and Howarth who rides the Oak Tree well but Andersen having to take a no. 1 ride. I'm going 56-34 our top end and reserves are so much stronger.
  4. I wouldn't count Somerset out of finishing top tbh. Especially if we can get King's Lynn to agree to a date before the 10th. We can go well at Belle Vue who are without Bewley and Leicester are there for the taking imo.
  5. I'm happy with a point tbh with a patched up side. Poole also going to be weaker now with Woryna going into the main body so no more 6/7 rides from him. P. S just to put something out there in my opinion. If a rider gets excluded from a race I really don't think teams (including Somerset) should be allowed to replace them.
  6. Doyley and co will be pumped up for this i'm sure. A point would be enough to finish ahead of Swindon and Wolves would have to pick something up from Belle Vue, Somerset or Poole.
  7. You do realise that Holder had just been whacked by the tapes so had some discomfort. Think that had to do with him struggling to get past.
  8. The home team preparing their own track to have home track advantage. Oh how disgusting that is. If Poole were good enough they would have worked out what to do and done it. They however did not, apart from Klindt and Woryna. Three heat advantages, nothing to do with what we did with the track. Oh and btw you obviously didn't read the whole way through my comment did you. Otherwise you would have seen my comment about the track not being what it was. P. S scared of Poole? A quick look at the results between the two sides this season will tell you if we are afraid of Poole.
  9. Can't blame the track when the fact Poole lost was because THEY WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Simple as that really. The Rebels riders managed plenty of passes and the track was the same for the Rebel riders. Whilst the track is not the same as it was and needs a lot of work in the close season, it is not as bad as some people are making out.
  10. Somerset can go top with a win tomorrow against BV. The Aces will be desperate for an away win against Somerset and Swindon. I think it will be easy for Somerset though 53-37
  11. More pressure on Poole than Somerset tbh with the Rebels having 2 meetings in hand and 4 on Swindon
  12. I'm a Somerset fan but no way are we favourites. Iversen and Lambert should in all reality have good chances of going unbeaten and they also have just as good a team in depth as we do. I would love it if we won but sadly Lynn look favourites without Doyle.
  13. Well considering we now sit 5 points clear with a meeting in hand I say we look pretty good. Haven't lost in seven meetings whilst having a heat leader scoring just 1 in two meetings. Beaten Wolves at Monmore and ride BV well. That doesn't look to me a side that won't be anywhere near winning the playoffs. Not saying we will though.
  14. In all fairness Harris confirmed the other day he was supposed to be joining Somerset. Meaning that Summers is the back up. We still look stronger than with Vissing though and not far off from when we had Wright. Summers is a decent scorer.
  15. So 6.82 without Vissing average, Jackobsen is on 4.00 at Poole i heard and Pieszczek was 6.50 at Leicester wasn't he? So there are still some options abroad. Such a shame we have to be talking about changes though but with Wright going and Vissing sadly not performing i'm afraid we have to.
  16. It should be around the same left tbh. Doyle, Jake, Bradley lose on their averages while Rich and Jack are raised. Covatti and Vissing will remain the same. Going by the GSA on the BSPA website anyway.
  17. Going by the Poole twitter announcement we were after Freddie Jackobsen. I said the other night I wouldn't be surprised if Vissing was a short term replacement.
  18. It was yeah, be interesting if he keeps his promise. Anyway great result for the Rebels regardless of Vissing missing. Could have been even worse with a proper 2nd heat leader in there.
  19. Tbf I was saying last night I wonder if he was a short term signing while we looked for better options as if the total is still 42.50 we then have 7.16 to play with without Vissings average. I will say about last night this is the worst track I have ever seen at the OTA since me and my late uncle started going when they were created. I really don't know what has happened to the club, it definitely wasn't the same atmosphere last night compared to what it was. I enjoyed going back all the same but didn't seem right.
  20. Basically Vissing has to go. I don't want to say it as Iike Claus but he clearly is not the standard of a Premier rider and not a heat leader. In two meetings he has beat Max Clegg. It puts more pressure on Lawson and Holder especially when we face two big guns like NKI and Lambert we need our middle order to be firing.
  21. This is going to be our hardest meeting of the season imo. Kerr and Palm Toft have been rebels before so know the track. Lambert certainly enjoys riding it, NKI is a strong rider. Clegg and Andersen I think would have scored similar tbh. The main battle will be in the engine room between Vissing/ Lawson and Proctor/ Jorgensen. Can't wait to get down for my first meeting of the season at the OTA.
  22. I really didn't get that either. Ok we probably weren't fantastic away from home but as you said we won at Kings Lynn who hadn't lost at home. Last time I checked we were in the top 3.
  23. And in all fairness he did also say the track was getting better and that it's not always going to be smooth. Interesting that he also said May was right in the whole Wright situation.
  24. One thing I will say is that if it is true that the riders were told by message/ Facebook messenger as I have heard then that is such a cowardly way to do it. I don't think I would be alone in thinking that either.
  25. We don't know what went on in the pits so cannot say it was just a "talking to" situation. For me the main problem is who we got in rather than why Wright went. Someone like Wells/ Riss would have been better options. Covatti for Jeppesen tbh strengthens us at reserve imo. Jeppesen is going to be a good rider but his gating needs improving.
