Garrity is 2nd in the averages so on paper he is one of the top two. You're changing Bjerre as he is better than Garrity but not changing Hougaard to top two. So that statement makes no sense at all. Experience doesn't mean they are Elite standard.
-
So in what way is this like the Elite League? How many riders this season are going to be proper Elite League Standard?
-
Are you sure of that?King fair enough but Garrity is not better than Tungate and Grajczonek. Stronger reserves Allen is better than Bates. He has nearly a point over him in his first season. Graversen is just as good as jumper.... sorry Searjant. Comparable 2nd strings fair enough but does depend on if Kerr and Bjerre can up their games as expected.

Have a listen to Garry Mays interview on YouTube. Reveals that we tried for Kildermand but Poland stopped it and also Holder but other promoters stopped him talking to lower end riders about deals. Thats why he has put this team out so maybe instead of slagging Rebels off you'll appreciate May can only play with the cards dealt to him.
-
Would love to as Kasprzak apart all of our riders are very much capable of beating their opposite average counterpart. Even then Somerset Tungate is a million times better than Swindon Tungate so he will give Kasprzak a good battle at the OTA.
-
Saw that coming but still a Somerset asset might just want him to have another season in the second tier. I highly doubt gazza has overlooked him completely.
-
What people fail to take in, this is a team that won the premier with relative ease. Take into account a watered down league. Hougaard and Graversen will score more than BWD (even though i'm gutted not to see him) and Wajtknecht. People are so quick to judge when if you think about it, this team is very strong at home.
-
Rebel fans knew we wasn't getting Holder that was other people, we realise that because of GP meetings it was unrealistic. Don't forget this is a heavily watered down league. Hougaard is the key imo, Tungate is a different rider for Somerset and Grajczonek has the ability to be a third heat leader. Wright and Starke were held back by their partnership last season and still scored well. Allen was beating some heat leaders last season.
-
Didn't say that we were going to beat them to the title but I do not believe that we are going to get walked over at all. Kasprzak apart I do not think there is much between us. Take out Kasprzak and Tungate and the rest of the side is pretty similar. Andersen vs Grajczonek, Kurtz vs Hougaard, Holder vs Starke, Newman vs Wright, Klindt vs Allen and Shanes vs Graversen. I don't think there is that much between us.
-
No there isn't and i'm not getting arsey i'm sticking up for my team, that's what us Rebels do. I think there is a lot of potential in this side and personally Kasprzak apart not too far from the Poole side.
-
Poole were supposed to wipe the floor with everyone last season were they not? How did that work out for you? Tungate has found a home at Somerset and there was a massive difference in him here. Grajczonek been a heat leader in the Elite so should be able to in a watered down league. Hougaard in a very poor Liecester side where the riders were clearly not happy, scored 16 on his last OTA visit. Starke easily capable of beating other second strings in the league. Wright same as Starke, keep in mind their partnership held them back as well. Allen best reserve in the league so far, yes better than Klindt too, if you disagree you clearly haven't seen him last season. Graversen yes we are all shocked but don't forget he is racing against 2.00 reserves.
-
Well how about people start debating rather than slating us off before a wheel is turned.
-
No please go ahead and mock a wheel hasn't even been turned yet Kasprzak aside the teams are very similar imo Andersen going backwards Holder, Kurtz and Newman all got beat by Wright, Starke and Grajczonek last season. Allen is better than Klindt trust me and Graversen vs Shanes could go either way.
-
Haha i'm going to love us shutting a lot of you up next season especially Poole. What gives you the right to downgrade us before a wheel has even turned?
-
Kasprzak vs Tungate Kasprzak fair enough Newman vs Starke Starke Newman injury prone Kurtz vs Grajczonek Grajczonek Holder vs Wright Holder Andersen vs Hougaard Hougaard Klindt vs Allen Allen better prospect Shanes vs Graversen future Shanes but atm Graversen
-
Don't care what supporters of other clubs say, we are Rebels and we will stand by our side, peopl took us lightly last season and look what happened.
-
I like 5 of the side but Graversen has to show he is eager early on. We will support him but eyes will be eagerly on him.
-
No idea just personaly think Holder would be a bad move, Tungate would be ok with riders who are certain to improve but would prefer an established no.1
-
Doubt it tbh, would be a terrible idea, high average. Plus misses a lot of meetings due to GP.
-
Hey guys this is a family friendly forum calm down. No need to get personal with each other.
-
Because he lives in Manchester or at least did, traveling to Redcar on a Thursday and then dealing with the M5 on a Friday, plus teams riding over different nights of the week. As I said hope i'm wrong but it is a hell of a lot to take on.
-
I have a weird suspicion Wrighty isn't in the side. Signing for Redcar on a Thursday and then Somerset on a Friday would play havoc in terms of traveling. Hope i'm wrong though.

SomersetBlue replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Because it clearly states on the Somerset website that the full 1-7 are being announced on Monday. -
Correct you on what? It would be a strong team at home with strong reserves. It's a strong team, i may not like Masters but he still is a good rider.
-
37.17 add in the probable BWD and thats 42.19, leaves 7.81 for the final rider.
