Somehow I doubt that Newman would have scored more than Klindt tonight and is just as good as Holder, Skornicki is better than Clegg and Greaves so I really doubt that theory would pay off.
-
Because Poole could have done the same thing and put Kurtz at 4 it was only the race format that was last season for some reason and not the lineups. Oh and btw you do realise R/R picked up 3 points compared to 8 by Poole as Klindt was able to take three more rides. So probably would have won by more than 10.

Anyone know why Kasprzak has been ruled out of pairs?

This Seasons Number 7s
SomersetBlue replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Graversen purely because of his experience in the top tier. Wajtknecht Bailey Ayers Smith Shanes Perks Greaves -
I mean in terms of there not being fast tracking or protected heats this season, Klindt is there because of his pl average. Klindt should do well but last season Poole had the likes of B. Pedersen, B. Kurtz at reserve while being able to keep Newman or Ellis at reserve.
-
Yep big emphasis on reserves and doesn't give the likes of Belle Vue and Poole advantages at reserve which they have had. Garry May has already said teams with big hitters have weak tail ends. I think this season will be entertaining and a way for some British youth to come through.
-
Belle Vue A very good top 5, wouldn't say they have an out and out no.1 but 5 riders who can all score solidly and push the big riders hard. Wouldn't say they have strong reserves to start with but will steadily improve as the season goes on. King's Lynn Good top two and I think Lambert will push Holder for no.1. Batchelor I'm not so sure about, this is the season for him to get back to form of old. They don't have the best second strings but they can still score solidly. Bailey should improve upon last season but Huckenbeck is key as he had two different halves of the season last campaign. Leicester Nilsson is a decent rider but not a no.1 imo. Gomolski is exciting but is very hot and cold, same goes for Auty and Ayers. Wolbert isn't a heat leader but is a decent second string in a weakened top tier. Lebedevs is on a bargain average and should go straight to a heat leader being replaced by a strong reserve but I can't see enough strength throughout the team. Poole Another good top two with Kasprzak and Andersen. However I personally don't think Poole are as strong as people think. I don't think they have a third heat leader but three strong second strings and a strong reserve. I know I may get slaughtered for that but I don't personally think Holder, Kurtz or Newman are strong enough for a third heat leader. They still look strong just not as strong as people think. Rye House Good top three with plenty of experience. Robson is good around Rye House, Watt is key as he has been on a bit of a downhill spiral. Branford has a big season ahead of him and will be the difference between a strong reserve partnership and a poor one. Somerset A lot of criticism of this side and there isn't a big hitter. What there is though is a very strong home side that with a bit of confidence could cause a shock or two. Jake Allen is one to watch. Swindon The best rider in the league in Doyle but can't see much after that. Morris had a bad season and Ellis has a lot to prove he is a heat leader. BWD will give his all but goes straight into the main body and Grondal isn't strong enough imo. Bellego is decent but only a second string. Wolverhampton Another strong top 5 Lingren is a big hitter and Masters and Thorssell can pop in big scores. Howarth should be a good second string along with Skornicki. The bottom end could be a problem as Clegg is up.and down and Greaves will find it very hard in the top tier. I think Belle Vue, King's Lynn, Poole and Wolverhampton look the top four, Rye House and Somerset are the best of the other four and will push for the play offs. Swindon and Leicester to me don't have enough strength throughout the team. Although nothing is done on paper so anything can happen.

I think they got some in as that is what the social media says. They didn't finish, might have been the practice laps they had. Anyway great move by the promotion to refund the Coventry matches to the season ticket holders and credit to the fans who refused and gave the money to the club to help Jake and Hougaard with tyres. Rebels fans are great.

2017 Seasons Odds Starting 17/3/2017
SomersetBlue replied to rjsj9803's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
50/1 on Somerset I'll take that. If leicester can win the Premier with 5000/1 😂 -
Did anyone go last night? How did the lads go? For the time they were on track? Also any changes to stadium/ track?
-
Last time he rode he scored 14 for Rye House. Also looking at the picture on Facebook the lineup is 1. Tungate 2. Starke 3. Wright 4. Hougaard 5. Grajczonek 6. Allen 7. Graversen Thought they may have gone with Hougaard at 5 to add more strength in heat 13. Also like the look of the race suits.
-
Missing a trick as Kennett is brilliant around the OTA.
-
Forgot he even rode for Newport in all honesty.
-
So far you have Cook/ Fricke Holder/ Lambert Nilsson/ Wolbert Kasprzak/ Kurtz Tungate/ Hougaard Doyle/ Morris Lindgren/ Thorssell Add probably Kennett/ Harris That looks a great lineup with only Nilsson, Kasprzak, Lindgren and Thorssell which haven't ridden competitively at the OTA which I can't see being a problem for good riders like them. I can't say a favourite as each has their flaws and pros. Wouldn't count Tungy and Hougaard out either, Tungate is a different rider at the oak tree and Hougaard will be desperate to show what he can do.

Basically Poland are cocky and arrogant and think they control speedway, you can't think Sweden or Denmark agree with this but all will bow down to Poland as they have the backing of the riders or at least the money does.

Will Coventry Complete The Season?
SomersetBlue replied to Agrotron's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Have some respect unnecessary thread and we should all be getting behind Coventry, Liecester and Belle Vue as speedway is a family not a way of getting cheap shots in which tbh it does give that impression whether intended or not. -

Not upside down 😉 us Rebels are going to boss this league and Poole are rubbish -

Somerset Liecester Rye House Coventry Belle Vue (if rumoured team) King's Lynn Wolverhampton Swindon Poole -
So I think the result of this thread is simply KK is the better rider but most people would prefer Cook in their team because of his never say die attitude.
-
Has great potential just have to look at the Darcy Ward meeting, only one to lower Chris Holders colours all night. On another note Rohan Tungate did very well too, Josh doesn't seem to go well in Australia these days.
-
Wright and Starke are very much capable of beating other second strings and maybe a few third heat leaders. They both know the away tracks too. Allen has the potential to be the best reserve in the league if he pushes on, away may be a struggle though. If Graversen can then use his determination and put in some good performances we COULD have the best partnership in the league. Tungate and Grajczonek are both capable of beating anyone at home except the GP riders. Away will be the problem there. Houagaard is a decent stylish rider who has potential hopefully he can find a home at Somerset and perform to it.
-
In all fairness he did withdraw from the meeting. The other he scored 12.

This the same Bjerre who couldn't even get an Elite place last season? And a Searjant who plenty of Coventry fans didn't want? Bates similar to a rider who finished nearly a point over him and can top score for his country in his first British season?
