Wouldn't like to have to sort the repercussions from this one out. The biggest losers to me are the fans, they have been cheated out of a meeting. The options the organisers could have used have already been mentioned above but the whole team has been penalised for circumstances outside their control along with the fans. This sounds like the authorities adhering to the rules for speedway without any dispensation for common sense.
I've got to go for Bomber as the only Brit in the pack - his performance at Copenhagen was the sort of riding he can turn out, so fingers crossed his form is top notch for the remainder of the GP meetings. Chris Holder seemed to be in a determined mood so I think he will be up there as well.
Just wondered if the museum would be open in the Sunday 17 June. Planning on going to Berwick on Saturday for the GP Qualifier and then on to Glasgow for their fixture on Sunday. Would be great to spend a couple of hours there on the Sunday morning as we will be travelling via Edinburgh. I know the above post mentions July but there may be a few fans in the area looking for a way to pass the time on this coming Sunday.
Hi, thinking of making the trip up to Berwick for this one. Not sure what he weather forecast will be for the weekend, but not expecting any great improvement. I've looked on the various websites but can't see any mention of when the meeting will be re-run if rained off. Is anyone aware of when it might be?
ManchesterPaul, a belated thanks for the proggy. You are a gem producing this, I like the format which you produce the programmes in and I also take advantage of your GP programmes for each meeting.
There are some good people on this forum who I find help increase my enjoyment with their local knowledge and updates.
Thanks to you all for your time and effort.
