  1. Good point well made - I have almost lost the will to live when visiting Rye House over the past few seasons. When the weather gets warmer I'll pop over and give it another go....
  2. Thing is shadders it says nothing about Ben Morley and R/R in your post!
  3. One of the reasons that I pick and choose my meetings at Rye House - especially when Uncle Len waters and grades the track between every heat when the weather is dry!
  4. Legend!!! Thanks for that Memorable Heat 15 in 2006 matey!!
  5. Tuesday 19th February 2013, 01:30 New Zealand champion Jason Bunyan will tackle world speedway’s elite once again at Western Springs on March 23 after being handed the 2013 Buckley Systems New Zealand FIM Speedway Grand Prix wild card. Bunyan, who lined up in last season’s inaugural Grand Prix in Auckland, has lifted the NZ title eight times since 2004 and spends the European off-season racing in the land of the long white cloud. He collected his latest title at North Island track Rosebank last month with a 15-point maximum – putting him one short of Kiwi legend Larry Ross’ record haul of nine championships between 1976 and 1990. The 33-year-old dons the No.16 race jacket for what will be the opening round of the 2013 SGP series. Bunyan is joined in the meeting by NZ Championship runner-up Dale Finch and third-placed Sean Mason. They will serve as track reserves and take to the shale if any of the 16 riders in the main field are forced to miss a race through injury, illness or other reasons. Mason wears the No.17 race jacket and Finch is No.18. www.speedwaysgp.com

  7. Excellent news cannot wait for the season to start!
  8. Thanks for that Shadders - I was unaware of the baggage surrounding young tyson... as you say - Lens keeps most of what he know's under his flat cap!!
  9. what makes everyone think nelson will get his Visa application approved? What has changed since last year?
  10. Fully expect to see Chris Neath back sometime next season if they need to replace Olly Allen...
  11. I'd love to Kennett back at Rye.... Certainly an entertainer and a crowd puller.... Fingers crossed - not been excited by a Rye House line up since the days of Woffinden and Sundstrum...
  12. I hope so Benny boy! My enthusiasm for watching the rockets hit an all time low last season....
  13. Kennett would never Maintain a 10.42 average - no potential in him on that average!
  14. I make it 6.35... defo nailed on for 2013 if he's prepared to come ride for us..
  15. Will uncle Len splash the cash to ensure that he is a rocket in 2013...
  16. How about intoduce a travelling circus Pikey!! Certainly help pullin more punters from the immediate catchment area.. Or has that already been done!
  17. Thanks Shadders Unfortunately no one would make good money with the progress Ritchie has made over the past few seasons,, Sad really as he was a very exciting prospect a few years ago - Never be as good as his dad though - used to love seeing Kevin tear up the showground in the early 80's
  18. I tried 3 in a day a couple of years ago - Impossible with the slow meetings at Rye and the Bank Holiday traffic.. good luck though!
  19. Sorry just trying to catch up...has Ritchie retired?
  20. cannot understand how difficult it can be to get a visa until September. The boy was working here last year and this country is overrun with fecking illegals!! Makes my blood boil....
