Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Tigertas replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
I must admit i did feel sorry for the dudley fans after you lost Byron who i hope has a speedy recovery I thought it would be closer. I am glad that my team won and i think these two teams have been the strongest teams out there this season. I have supported Mildenhall for a few years and have been to staduims where i know we will lose but i stil go to support them as they need to know the fans care. Both teams have been hit with injuries ( which there have been too many this season) and had to overcome this. think Byrons crash affected the Dudley riders and they lost interest in the meeting. i am sure the next leg at home for you will be closer and anything can happen in speedway. We may have a lead but we still have to keep it. -
Well done to the Fen Tigers they really did pull together and dig deep. From what i heard our management tried to get another reserve in but it was very short notice. I heard Joe Graver blew his engine wed at Lynn so is out. shame would have given him some experince. Glad i was there to support the guys we could have been another rider down if Stefan hadn't battled through the pain barrier to continue that young lad is tough. Got to give it to these lads you can't keep a good Fen Tiger down.

Want to give credit to all the riders at Mildenhall today for getting on and dealing with difficult conditions. Both teams got on and did the job and this summer has been one that i am sure riders and fans want to forget in some ways. I am thankful their were no crashes where anyone got hurt. Great win for Mildenhall but do feel a bit sorry for Kings Lynn as I believe it would have been closer if track had of been dryer. -

All i can say is as a race marshall i was never told this meeting would be any different from our normal start time which is 4.30. so unsure where the 3 oclock time came from. Maybe i have missed something. All i want is for people to enjoy speedway without any fear. Maybe there was good and bad on either side but yesterday was the first time i worried about my son at a speedway track glad he was sitting in the bar as he didn't like it and all the people that know me know how much my family love speedway. Wont say no more about it will move on now. -

I am a mildenhall fan and work for the club but i travel around many clubs as I have an autistic son who loves speedway. We have been to almost all of the tracks across all three leagues. We would come to Dudley to support our team but as I said last year our riders were jeered at. and Lewis had a lot of abuse shouted at him and my son got quite distressed so wont come again. The behaviour of some of the fans on bend two proved my point. I am not having a go at all Dudley fans and know every club has problems from time to time ( some more than others) You can be passionate about your team without the constent abuse. We all want our team to win and I have supported my team through good and bad times. As for the teams we was also under strength as we was missing Cam and Lewis so they evened each other out. I just can not understand how people can laugh and cheer after crashes you need to work on a track and then you will see how bad it is when they are shouting in pain. Both Irving and Garrity were not in a good way and credit to them they both got up and walked away. Hope they both are ok. Standing right near the crash i can tell you is well scary. Yes we all have our fav riders but I don't see how you can call yourself fans of the sport when you can cheer at crashes. I have riders i don't like but i wouldn't want to see them hurt. Well done to Mildenhall they rode well and I hope tues will be ok. Sure we may struggle as Dudley will have their full team but we have riders who will give it their all and try and that is all you can ask of them, -

Really hope Garrity is ok very nasty crash and as I saw it first hand holding the flag on the start line bad move by Irving there. There are no dirty tatics from Josh Bates he is a young and learning and tries hard. This is supposed to be a training league so not sure how Dudley could have Roynon who rides in all three leagues. But that is another debate. Both teams had riders missing and used a guest and R/R so seemed fair. Pity some of the fans hurled abuse at our management and felt the need to laugh when riders come off. We have had a terrible tragedy this year where a rider has lost their life so it is no joke and if you heard both Garrity and Irving shouting in pain don't think you would think it funny. I can tell you it wasn't nice. I made the decision after my first trip to Dudley last year that i wouldn't be back with my family as their fans hurrled insults to one of our riders. Was my worst trip to speedway so i will wish our riders well on tues and will follow online. -

what a shame i didn't come to this sounds much better than the gp however i wasn't feeling 100% so needed to rest. Well done to the Fen Tigers i really thought we would struggle here but pleased they pulled off a win. Looks like Stefan and Josh have really stepped up when the team needs them. Well done to them all. thanks to Ben Morley who stepped in to help and did a great job -

would love to but my stupid recorder will not do it have tried lots of times and got nothing so don't want to miss it. Yes know i should support my team but want to see my fav rider in GP Not looking good now we have lost Cam and with Lewis away think Lynn will get a victory over us. Really hope our season now doesn't go pear shaped as we were looking on form. Got some tough meetings to get through
