  1. So who will be riding at reserve for the Witches against Glasgow next week? Big Dave Wallinger completes his 6 contracted meetings against Berwick this Thursday and Drew Kemp allegedly doesn't come on board till after the Glasgow meeting even though he would be eligible to ride. I'm guessing probably because Mildenhall ride on the 16th as well as ourselves and I would imagine an agreement was reached on his signing that he wouldn't miss their meetings. Will be interesting to see how this one unfolds.
  2. Ostergaard only falls marginally short of Mr Pedersen in my book when it comes to win any cost , last year he seemed to make a b line for Covatti as well in one of the meetings between the teams! I'm obviously not the only one with this opinion or others wouldn't have mentioned it. But hey, it's all about opinions and ours differ.
  3. They are all racing incidents when it's your rider doing doing the damage NEP!
  4. Don't you mean what have they done to him? Last year Greaves took him out and Haertel this year! Ostergaard has fenced Covatti on more than one occasion!
  5. I wasn't in a position to attend this meeting but was very pleasantly surprised by the result. Was expecting to get a thumping which didn't turn out to be the case. And as others have said with scoring reserves we might have gone one better. Also was expecting a backlash about comments from myself and others ref Mr Ostergaards riding tactics. Its amazing how much better Nico Covatti can be when he's not having to watch his back and can be confident of completing a full quota of laps without being shoved into the first available fence! What does Ostergaard have against Nico anyway?
  6. Without Ostergaard riding at least Nico should be less likely to get injured! Still a big home win on the cards though as Peterborough and Lakeside are a clear head and shoulders above the rest in the Championship this season.
  7. Not soon enough! Wallinger was allegedly brought in for 6 meetings but then they said Drew would come in after the Glasgow match but by my reckoning he should be eligible to ride against them on 16th August.
  8. The deafening silence must give you a clue, either nobody knows or nobody wants to say anything. Which is always worrying!
  9. Let's be quite polite to Chris Louis and just say that if he had any real intentions of achieving a playoff place he wouldn't have signed Wallinger in the first place!
  10. Did he even make an appearance on the back straight?
  11. Couple of questions now spring to mind after the narrow home victory over Redcar. What is the real situation regarding Danny's fitness and the likelihood of him actually riding competitively again this season? If he's not likely to be back and be effective we may as well get somebody in before the deadline, RR and guests for the rest of the season surely can't be an acceptable option! Secondly, if we stick with Wallinger getting big fat zeros every meeting till Drew comes on board our season will be over before he arrives, I know it's pretty much over already but that's not a reason not to try! There must be an untried national league rider that would relish the chance of a brief go in our league who could actually score a few points? I know it's now only a handful of meetings but surely we can get in someone in?
  12. I'm guessing there was no sign of a new noise making drum for the Massif last night then?
  13. Think Wallinger should go and i may not be alone with that thought !
  14. Alas i cannot make the meeting tomorrow so if Wayne the presenter brings along the drum he promised me last week someone else will have to use it on my behalf till the next home meeting !
  15. Although Cook technically rides in the GP's hardly anyone with a brain in their heads would call him a GP rider. As soon as his qualification was confirmed by default as Dudek was already in the series pretty much everybody I spoke to knew he would be an embarrassment like Harris has been for the last few years. Craig Cook will be a very good no1 at Championship level, not so much in the premiership and that's his limit I'm afraid. Now for the backlash of my opinion!
  16. I can't get my head around the Wallinger signing even if it is only for half a dozen meetings. I'm sure somebody in the National league could have been persuaded to gain a bit of experience at our level for a few weeks. Being a regular at Mildenhall I would have given someone like Ryan Kingsley a try, he can gate as well!
  17. Hmmmm Not quite sure what to make of these changes. Potentially even less points from reserve for probably 6 weeks anyway. Only real bonus is getting Drew Kemp on board when he hits 16. Mark Riss was dumped by Edinburgh for a reason, let's hope he can find the form he had at Foxhall last year. Feel sorry for Jonas as he looked to be a real tryer. Also feel sorry for Connor but he has never mastered Foxhall, always looking very uncomfortable. His liking for other tracks should see him fixed up hopefully. With our aspirations of silverware being pretty much over already Im just hoping to see some decent speedway between now and the end of the season.
  18. Unless Jonas takes an instant liking to our track and our reserves come to the party can only see this as an away win myself. God I hate feeling this negative !
  19. A home meeting? Whats one of those?
  20. Most disappointed, apparently they've cancelled the quiz night on Wednesday 11th due to a random football match taking place !
  21. He might have scored a few if Bjerre hadn't have hit him in ht3
  22. If last year's averages are taken into consideration we could consider Robert Lambert.
  23. Yup my phones playing silly buggers at the moment. Deleting stuff and replacing it with a full stop.
  24. Seen a tweet from Nathan Greaves asking if anyone needs a rider in the championship, and we signed Jonas Jeppersen, hmmmm Lrts hope he's going to be good!
