Cracking result for the Tigers , would have been a bit closer had it not have been for the nasty crash Byron had ( hope he's ok and had has a speedy recovery ) Every team member did well and chipped in on the scoring ! It should now be in Mildenhalls hands now and if they give up a 28pt lead then they don't deserve the cup ! Well done today lads !

I still don't understand why Pedersen laid his bike down in the semi when he had half a chance of winning the race , beats me why he did it ! Lucky to be in the rerun after giving Chris nowhere to go and falling off ! Took Lindback out as well , just dirty ! Shocking refereeing to allow him in the rerun . -
ABP , ABP PLEASE ABP !!! That's , Anyone but Pedersen !!! His finger wagging when he is clearly at fault for a crash constantly winds everyone up and he doesn't like it when someone is hard on him ! COME ON CHRIS !!!

A good meeting with some decent racing ! More than happy with the 20pt lead although could have been more or less with the 2nd bend issues . As said by others this tie is far from over and if the Monarchs do overturn it they will have earned the place in the final the hard way ! On the crowd front , it was lower than I expected for a semi final ( Must be us southern softies don't like the cold at this time of year ! )

A good couple of meetings , fantastic value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening ! Whoever Adam Ellis signs for they will do well to get him as I can see him doing what Cam did last year and end up going straight from reserve to possibly a no1 without a stop in the middle . On a slight downer as far as Mildenhall winning silverware is concerned , I believe the current reserve partnership could possibly end up costing them these trophies . Lets be honest the IOW team is not the strongest in the league and still Gareth and Ryan only managed 9pts between them in the 2 meetings combined . This really isn't enough to overcome the likes of Dudley over 2 legged competitions , I hope I'm wrong ! Don't suppose there's any chance of Adam Ellis guesting next Sunday ? Just a pipedream !

Workington V Ipswich Sunday 30th Sep

8 meetings in October. Double headers . Does sadly bode the question about the financial side of how things will work and how much more or less money can be obtained by doing this . Don't know too much about Workys stadium rental finances etc but I seriously hope these circumstances are not the final nail in the coffin ! -
Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
Super Blue replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't get me wrong , I love my speedway and fully intend to keep going as long as I can afford it . I was at Ipswich tonight and will be at Mildenhall on Sunday for their double header against the Isle of Wight ( 2 meetings for £12 , now that is real value for money ) ! But , calling it stupid to say it's only 15 mins is a ridiculous statement to make because that's exactly what it is ! And yes I would say that your first 2 examples of horseracing and greyhounds are only 10 and 7 minutes which is why I wouldn't attend those kind of events . I was asking for opinions , not to be called stupid ! -
Ipswich V Sheffield (plct)

A nice easy win in difficult conditions in the rain considering Taylor and Rohan both had off nights . Stefan looked seriously shaky in his first 2 rides but superb in his last 2 . This kid is talented but is a Scunny asset , lets hope we can get him on board in some way for next season ! -

I will be going to get my fix of speedway but the interest level is not quite what it was in this particular competition ! -
My personal opinion is it's an expensive sport to go and watch these days ! Realistically it works out about a pound a minute of racing and that puts it in the realms of being one of the most expensive sports around ! It's one of the reasons for falling attendances I'm sure and quite a heavily debated topic in various places on this forum . Opinions ???

Mildenhall V I.o.w 23rd Sept ....off
Super Blue replied to fentigers79's topic in National League Speedway
I planned to give today's meet a miss anyway in preference to next week , even more so after I saw the weather forecast for today ! Would make a great deal of sense to make it a double header on the 30th with the play off meet 1st as originally planned . Why would anybody in their right mind make IOW come back a yet again when today has been cancelled and 2 meetings need to be completed against them asap ? Lets hope common sense reigns , although unlikely as this is speedway after all ! -

Ipswich V. Workington Lc S/f 20/9
Super Blue replied to Pere Ubon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There is no denying Taylor came back too early as proved by the majority of his scores since returning with the upside being a nice low average for next season ! On the Lawson issue he's never particularly liked Foxhall and obviously had some bike issues last night as well . He's clearly a no1in Workingtons team for a reason and scores big at home . I still think a genuine no1 is the Way to go for the Witches with the best back up that's available within the points limit . I just hope we can secure the services of the right man for the job , whoever that may be ? -

Wouldn't have had 13 if he'd been excluded for falling all by himself , bless him ! -
For existing ! If they go PL it will be their fault because they did ! It's also Dudleys fault its rained so much this , can't you see that ? Everything in the world is their fault ! Full stop .
