  1. Such a shame I couldn't make this meeting ! Encounters between the Tigers and Heathens are definitely never dull . First and foremost I hope Adam Roynon is not badly hurt and makes a quick recovery . Secondly , all predictions I made on this meeting certainly didn't take into consideration the inclusion of Lewis Blackbird in Mildenhalls side . I was stunned when I saw him on the team sheet . Who was the referee for this meeting ? As whoever it was appears ( according to Heathens fans ) to have made up for last night's refs gaffes against the Tigers . Anyway , a massive well done to Mildenhall on being crowned league champions ! Weather permitting I'm hoping to be at the Nat Trophy match on 31st v Stoke to see the trophys being paraded ! ( sorry , I'm assuming this is pencilled in ? )
  2. Throwing the points away is not the issue , the fact he didn't score them is , so that's the reason for my comments . Garrity also threw points away and the ref certainly didn't help matters either. Josh would certainly have scored a few tonight at home but it's not at West Row so who knows what will happen ? I believe there's alot of reverse psychology going on here from Heathens fans and I would just like to confirm the fact that , ITS ALL DUDLEYS FAULT !!!
  3. Ah yes but the big big difference last night was at reserve , in Ritchings you have one that scored very well and Mildenhall didn't ! Had the return been at West Row I'm sure Josh Bates would have come good tonight . Now I'm not so sure ! As you said it's all about opinions and in mine I can only see one outcome for the overall result ! I'm gutted I can't now go as that extra 20+ miles to Lynn combined with work means I won't have time to get there . I obviously hope the Tigers can overcome the deficit but I can't see it happening .
  4. How anybody can say tonight's return leg is finely balanced to me absolutely beggars belief ! At West Row , the Tigers home track advantage would have been a big one but at Lynn they have none whatsoever ! It's ultimately an away match for both teams and the outcome will obviously depend on who adapts better . Although I'm hoping for a Mildenhall win , to overcome this size of deficit will be nigh on impossible . Not even remotely finely balanced is my opinion !
  5. Was never going to be close , just as I predicted ! Big difference was at reserve . At West Row the Tigers might still have had a chance but a home match away ? Its not gonna happen ! ( Sorry to be a pessimist )
  6. The Heathens have got to be big favourites ! At least one of their meetings is at home where The Tigers have effectively got 2 away matches , its a no brainer !
  7. Dudley now big favourites me thinks ! They get one home and one away , Mildenhall get 2 away meetings to try to overcome the Heathens Should be no contest now with The Tigers already weakened more than the opposition ! Will unfortunately not be able to make this now but will be willing the Tigers to overcome this disadvantage from home !
  8. I definitely believe that RR will hurt The Tigers more than the Heathens here and the respective reserve pairings form and fitness will have a big influence on the overall outcome . The decision to go with the playoff final first will also benefit Dudley as they obviously want to catch the opposition off guard before they get used to the track . Lets be honest , unless something goes seriously awry the KO cup has gone to Suffolk ! And for the comment on ding dong battles between Roynon and Garrity there should only be one winner here and it isn't Mildenhalls guest ! If a rider that's banging in near Max's in the Prem league doesn't go through the card then he's the one with the problem . ( My opinion ) The Tigers to win the cup ! The Heathens to take a big lead to West Row on wednesday !
  9. This one will complete a very hectic week for me ! Tues , Football Ipswich at home Wed , Mildenhall v Dudley Thurs , Witches v Somerset Sat , Football Ipswich at home 3-00pm Sat , Witches v Newcastle 7-30pm Although the term football is only used in the loosest sense of the word as far as Ipswich are concerned at the moment ! But this week is likely my last fix of speedway till next march so it's got to be done ! My prediction is that the Witches have an infinitely better chance of success against the Diamonds than Worky in this final but then again they are frustratingly unpredictable and will probably throw this opportunity of silverware away as well ! Here's looking forward to a successful week all round and some decent weather to see the Speedway season to its completion !
  10. So where do we start with this one then ? The Heathens are highly unlikely to claw back the cup deficit so I give that particular piece of silverware to the Tigers . The Play off final however is the proverbial different kettle of fish ! I certainly believe that Dudley will come out clear winners in both meetings , not enough to take the cup but by more than enough in the PO final to put real pressure on Mildenhall at West Row on Wednesday . To me it seems that Dudley are " both " underdogs and favourites on the night as I'm sure they will be more than up for the challenge in the competition they can realistically win ! I know given this set of circumstances which meeting I would put more effort into ! Alas , I'm unable to get to Monmore on Tuesday but I will certainly be at West Row on Wednesday to witness at least one cup being paraded by the Tigers ( hopefully ) ALL OF THE ABOVE TOTALLY DEPENDANT ON OUR WONDERFUL BRITISH WEATHER OF COURSE SO WE'RE SCREWED THEN ! ! !
  11. Well , I was hoping for better after the ineptness of Thursday but I fear its now " Game Set and Match " . Somerset have the riders to secure 8-1s and 7-2s in the event of tacticals ( should they require them ) but to be honest I doubt they will .
  12. The cynical amongst us would suggest the Witches threw this one away so they wouldn't be involved in any more meetings in the last 13 days of the season ! Concentrate on the other more meaningful cup competitions and forget about this one ? Your guess is as good as mine but after initially looking really good there was to me a visible element of a lethargic nature . Lets just hope they can get some fight and spirit going for the visit to Somerset tomorrow !
  13. Too many times but I will be there to see some speedway in case it rains next week ! A max for Doolan , never gonna happen .
  14. The outcome doesn't suit the Worky fans but it suits the promotion ! As I've said before the restaging option was declined which understandably has upset the Comets fans . Don't complain on here , have a go at your owner , he's obviously got an agenda and is not wanting to lose any more money ! I think this debate has now run its course and the fact that the Witches are in the final is really not their fault .
  15. The decision I think is still more about the fact that the offer to restage was declined by Worky ! I know that time left in the season is the reason this option was not taken but the offer was there and that's why someone said " let the result stand then "
  16. Well , mission accomplished for the Tigers after a slightly dodgy start to the meeting and now looking forward to the final against The Heathens BTW , Its still all Dudleys fault !
  17. If only the gp ref had been in charge I'm sure it would have been all 4 back ( tongue in cheek )
  18. A bit of a joke decision yes but allegedly Worky were given the option to restage and declined ! The Witches were about to use a tactical when the rain intervened and "could" have clawed a couple of points back , nobody knows how it would have been come ht12 . The really strong heats for the home side would have been 13 and 15 and I have no doubt would have won comfortably ! It's just the way it panned out I'm afraid .
  19. Doesn't really matter how it's done , I'm sure Ipswich will lose out !
  20. I'm sure whatever prehistoric rule the powers that be dig up or invent will no doubt coincide with what Worky want out of it ! It's been a nothing going right season for the Witches from the Anglian cup opener against Rye back in March so why would now be any different ? ( cynical side of me coming out again )
  21. Rain dance coupled with Witches magicing ( made up word ) up some dodgy weather saved the day ! Would much rather take Worky on with a full team any day but will have to wait and see what occurs with any decisions that are made on monday .
  22. Probably one less meeting at Foxhall after tonight's visit to Worky but I see your point .
  23. There could be some interesting twists for the play off final if the IOW fail to overturn Mildenhalls advantage in the semi . Apparently Dudley want the first leg of the final at home leaving The Tigers with only the 31st Oct being available as a date for West Row . They obviously could not leave it till then so alternative tracks have been discussed with earlier dates . Foxhall perhaps ? I'm thinking the Heathens are going down this road as they want to have a lead in case the 2nd leg doesn't end up happening for whatever reason and they would win on 1st leg score ! ( and fully within their rights do so btw ) Just a theory and no doubt I will get slaughtered for my opinion !
  24. Worky will be far too strong at home for the Witches tonight with our current team , I alas predict at least a 20pt turn round but of course I hope the lads will prove me wrong ! Please .
  25. One would suggest that if the bspa have ruled that Josh was entitled to ride that he WAS redeclared and just maybe someone forgot to update the list ! Otherwise why would they have made that decision ?
