In Ipswich town center and thunderstorm just passed over heading Foxhall way ( I think )

I've seen Josh at Mildenhall quite a lot and when he stays on his Bike he's pretty quick and a real racer too , the same can't be said said of Makinen so far this season im afraid !

Yet more pessimism im afraid , I will go for a big home win for this one , not even gonna try to predict a score !

I'm gonna use the reverse logic scenario by saying we are gonna get battered ! Well it worked against Zummerzet .

From a supporter of the winning teams point of view there is only one rider most of us are after replacing at the moment . Makinen is simply going to be a liability whatever position he rides at ! All we are asking for is a rider that will actually score a few more points than 2 in 5 meetings and a promoter that will make changes when they are obviously needed while you can easily do so . In any other team sport on the planet if someone doesn't perform and do what they are paid to do they get dropped , It's not rocket science !

Not even remotely on the pace im afraid ! The one point he got against Somerset on Thursday was gained through blocking Tom Perry who was clearly faster . When he has gated , which has not been often he's gone backwards or fallen off . So far his performances are certainly not up to earning any kind of money at this level of speedway and he really needs to rethink his position as does Chris Louis ! The Witches cannot carry a no2 with Makinens current scoring level and ability and will be stuffed if he moves to reserve , im sorry but he needs to go !!!

Its a pity that we feel the need to be talking about Makinen having to go when we should be celebrating a win but the fact remains that a BIG mistake was made in signing him up ! As said by the Cardinalsin 2 points in 5 meetings is simply not good enough . We wouldn't be happy with a reserve scoring like that let alone a no2 ! Let's be honest here , Makinen is nothing more than an average National league rider and is not right for the Witches . Will Louis make the right decision and replace him while we still can ? I seriously doubt it but we can only hope !

I am a big enough person to wholeheartedly admit that Baldyman was totally wrong with his prediction this evening ! It was a good all round effort with in my opinion the only disappointing rider for me being Ben Barker , he should certainly be at least challenging for the lead in every race and getting double figures at home from 5 rides . I wasn't disappointed with Makinen because I didn't expect anything from him , I'm sorry but he simply isn't good enough and has to go , averaging about a fifth of a point per race from a no2 will get the team nowhere fast . Enough said on him I think . A good win , I'm glad to say !

I've come to the conclusion being a Witches fan makes one pessimistic which is probably the best place to be . Lets be honest if you are a pessimist a good result will only ever be a bonus and a loss is only to be expected !

Unless the guys knuckle down and dig deep we are gonna get battered ! I also think one or two need to get in the gym so they can last 4 laps without flagging .

We had this standing/sitting debate when Mr Snackett used to post on here . My personal opinion still remain the same . Anyone who arrives later than those already there can only be described as an " Inconsiderate Ignorant Tw*t " if they then block that persons view ! And anybody who thinks otherwise is a moron .

Speedway is a team sport or so we are led to believe ? This must be the most unbelievably tw*tish rule ever brought in by the prats who decided ! Infighting between team mates for money can only be detrimental to the team so I fully understand and back 100% the decision by Ipswich management to pay 3rd place bonus points !

Well , I know the lads havnt been able to practice but what a poor performance ? In my opinion anyway . Barker , double figures as expected Makinnen , shocking as expected Tungate , Chipped in but never looked like passing anyone Risager , didn't look good Lanham , looked slow to me Ellis , got his 3 pts , needs to find his feet Heeps , superb , only reason we won Buts it's all about opinions I suppose !

Just driven past Foxhall and gates open so someones there ! All systems go .

Does anyone know what the track situation is currently like at Foxhall and our chances of actually getting some speedway tomorrow ?

Am I looking forward to freezing my proverbial nuts off ? Probably . Lets just hope this white stuff disappears and plenty of time is available for track preparation ! The weather forecast for Good Friday is changing on a daily basis but one factor remains constant , Its gonna be bloody cold !

If it predicts rain on a speedway day it's probably going to be right ! Any other day and it's bound to be wrong .

Well , I'd take a close look at what's included for any season ticket for 2013 , at Ipswich it's £220 at early bird prices and it doesn't include any KO cup or any play offs of any kind !

Yup totally agree , it's a ludicrous idea to come up with and benifits speedway not 1 iota ! Im sure the promoters will get round it somehow but whoever came up with it must be the most monumental plank on the planet !!!
