Just swapping Leigh and Morten over would be like committing suicide ! Im sure it would p*ss the reserves off big time and leave us very weak in 3 heats , especially away from home ! The only sensible choice for Morten to ride with has to be Ben , the lines they generally race they are perfectly suited and would give us a fairly strong opening partnership . As in my original preferred listing that would leave Leigh and Cam together for 3 races and Rohan with a reserve for 3 , a good solid engine room to work from . It has to go this way , I just cant see it working any other way !

As it's a general Ipswich topic and not one that's likely to be moved lets talk about team shuffling on here . My rider order would be 1 Ben 2 Morten 3 Leigh 4 Cam 5 Rohan 6 Adam 7 Ritchie But what are the odds of CL changing anything ?

Remember that the SCB changes rules mid season as they see fit depending on their mood , agenda or wether it's the wrong time of the month or even if there's a full moon or not ! One hopes its all been fully checked out and sanctioned .

Will Ritchie win his first race as a Witch ? That's the question . Blackbird not too bad a choice as guest , has been in some decent form this year but not exactly renowned for his scoring at Foxhall . We will have to wait and see . Note , I didn't start this thread it was split away from the main Ipswich one by the mods . Big brother is still watching us !

Josh Bates would be a good choice as a guest on Saturday given Adams absence of being in the Under 21 at Berwick . Upon reflection , not sure if his average would fit now ??? If it doesn't , who do we think might come in ?

I must admit , it was very much a gate and go track last night apart from a couple of passes . Very uninspiring ! Not exactly what's required to get newbies to come again from the slightly larger than usual crowd . 3 league points were required and obtained . Just about all that needs saying really . This thread certainly won't drag on like the Edinburgh one .

Berwick certainly have some riders who can win races but will they get the back up they need ? I believe this might be a little closer than some people think . Admittedly having to use a Nat league guest won't help their cause but it should be a good night's racing .

Neither green or yellow are particularly popular colours in the Ipswich part of the world due to a different sporting connection !

You are definitely right with that post ! Wonder exactly what Barker said or did ? I suppose we will never know as revealing such info could bring all sorts of ramifications . At least he's acknowledged he was out of order for his actions ( whatever the reason )

Let's be honest here , we have definitely seen as bad and worse incidents in many meetings throughout the years and the reason Cook was thrown out was only down to what occurred behind closed doors . Barker does seem to have an uncanny ability to wind riders up the wrong way and I suppose it was always going kick off at some point . That said , whatever the provocation , Cooks actions definitely cost Edinburgh any chance of winning the cup tie and ruined the meeting as a spectacle . For that I believe he should make some kind of gesture or at least an apology to his fans who made the 400 odd mile journey to watch this . I just hope it can now be water under the bridge and further clashes between the two riders can be fair and gentlemanly on the track . ( Did I really just say that ? Who am I trying to kid ? Never gonna happen is it ? )

Im beginning to fancy that this might just might need the golden heats . Since Ben's bike issues in the 4s he hasn't been blistering but one was world cup and one was elite league so im not reading too much into them . Just hope he can get the better of Cook . Again , I believe this one could be decided at reserve level with Ritchie continuing last weeks points tally and Adam getting some points outside of heat 2 . I predicted a close one last week and think this one could be as well .

Just happy to win after Rohans exit from the meeting ! Had we have gone with r/r if his fitness was suspect I think all 3 pts would have been obtained . Even a half fit Rohan wouldn't have scored 0 pts . A pretty decent all round effort from the lads considering . Well done and thanks to Richie Worrall for covering Bens absence admirably .

Could be mighty close this one , Scunny do appear to have a strong 1 to 5 ! Lets hope our reserves can do the business as I think that may be where it's decided . I think I'll go for a narrow Witches victory , hopefully securing all league points .
