Coming back this season would be great news for the Witches and Birmingham ! Lets just hope he's making the right choice if he does and doesn't compound any of his injury problems .

I think if the guests can score reasonably well it might be possible for the Witches to get something from tonights match but I do fear its going to be our first away meeting where we come back pointless . With Ben and Ritchie I would certainly feel much more confident about it but you have to go with what you've got . Its a shame Ben can't be there in some way , even if to only wind up Cookie ( tongue in cheek ) Let's just hope everyone stays safe and its a good competitive meeting .

The result of this meeting certainly flattered the Witches IMO , it was only the misfortunes of Sheffield that made us look good . 5 races in a row with only 1 rider gifted the convincing looking victory and 3 league points . let's be honest only 4 pts ahead after 8 heats was hardly scintillating stuff . It will be much tougher next week if we don't choose the right guest or guests depending on Ritchie's fitness.

Well , Josh G did a good job for us last week so ok with that but not so sure about Kasper Lykke guesting for Ritchie , he's never really shown much form around Foxhall . I suppose it's a very limited pool to choose from though with the average Ritchie has . Everything should be ok hopefully for a reasonably comfortable win Thursday but I do fear for Friday at Edinburgh , a battering springs to mind .

Hopefully Cam will be OK but our season is doing its best to go pear shape at the moment !

Where did the 6000 figure for the Mon stock cars come from ? I was there and I would have said it was higher than that . The place was heaving with loads of kids there to watch all the crashes and caravans . Would be great to see some big old crowds at Foxhall again for speedway but realistically it's never going to happen , you just don't get the value im afraid .

Well , in my opinion it's about the whole team who have all contributed to the position we are in now for possible silverware . The absence of Ben for the foreseeable future is obviously a great loss to us and I certainly wish him well for a quick recovery and return to racing ! But this is speedway and using guests is part and parcel of the sport , so without Ben we have to utilise any facility that's available to us . I did at first think , " thats it , our season is over " but looking at it logically the strategic use of guests such as Jason Doyle or Ritchie Worrall where available and appropriate could still work out ok for us . Although said by Had Enough that this devalues the playoffs a tad which I tend to agree with , the others in the team have worked so hard this year they deserve the best possible chance of getting those rewards . So all in all I believe we can still win something and should go full steam ahead to get it whoever happens to be in the side !

Sorry to hear about Ben , let's hope for a speedy recovery !

Not good news for the Witches riding tomorrow , lets hope it's just precautionary and he's ok .

The Ex Suffolk Troll strikes again !! You always were pretty argumentative under youre previous guise . ( and a know it all ) Im only being negative about a negative subject ! If you're so much in the know what is the answer to the teams potential problems ? Pretty positive overall this year , I just don't want it to go pear shaped at a critical time of the season ! Awaiting a no doubt dismissive , high and mighty nit picking response .

Leave it out will you ! There is pretty much universal agreement around Foxhall ( not that you would know ) that Morten has created a bit of a rift within the team and as soon as he's moved to No5 he's the worst scorer on the night ! He's clearly not in the best of form at the moment and a spell at No2 with Ben would probably be beneficial to him and the team . So why you come on here and have a pop at me beggars belief ! Its not a typical Suffolk response , I'm as pleased as anyone about the win . Just trying to get across an opinion that a lot of others seem to be agreeing with .

Couldn't agree more , 3 pts from Risager against clearly the worst team in the league is not good enough . Him riding at 5 will 100% come back to haunt us when we face the better teams ! Surely the management can't be that blind , can they ?

From where I was in the car park it looked like the entry gates were closed , did they actually let people in tonight ? If so then they are bang out of order yet again ! All hell broke loose earlier in the season when let in 30 seconds before a meeting was called off . They have seriously got to improve pr and communication !!!

Here endeth the " at least a point from every away meeting scenario " We are gonna get battered big time ! The Rebels really are the form team at the moment and I don't see us even getting close im afraid ! As always I would be ecstatically happy to be proved wrong and eat a huge slice of humble pie but I can't see it happening .

Im lucky I suppose , I only live 5 miles away so not a big issue for me to go and have it called off but I wasn't going in till I knew one way or the other . Im actually surprised they weren't taking people's money ! ( makes a change ) I just feel sorry for any fans that travelled great distances like Plymouths . But , please please please Ipswich speedway , keep us better informed in these situations , make it known for heavens sake if there's a planned track inspection at a specific time and just let the paying public know what's going on !

Just arrived at Foxhall , 7pm no one being let in yet ! Will let everyone know asap , I assume a track inspections in progress .

Rained most of the morning , stopped at lunchtime but at 3-30pm in town center just started again ! Im guessing they are waiting to see exactly how much we get before fully prepping the track . Given most of the forecasts im surprised it's still going ahead but of course I don't know what it's been like at Foxhall . Anybody around that way who can update us all ?

Well , the weather is " Shizzle " in Ipswich ( a cross between sh*t and drizzle ) and not looking good at all for later , given the distance of Plymouth I can foresee an early call off today unfortunately .

Having populated my scoresheet for this meeting and looked through the heats I've only now realized that I know virtually nothing about half the Plymouth team and most of the rest have never really shown any great form round Foxhall . Most of us tend to have our own predetermined ideas of how a meetings going to pan out but this makes the result that much more difficult to predict . Im still hoping and calling it a 50+ score for the Witches .

After an away draw at Rye its back home against a team that in theory we should be able to achieve a comfortable victory . The most interesting element to this for me will be to see how the swapping of Leigh and Mortens riding positions goes . At home having Morten at 5 with reserves in 3 races will probably work out ok but personally I dont think it's a good idea in the long term . If Rohan and Morten needed splitting up much more rearrangement needed to be done in my opinion but let's see how it pans out .

So it's official then , Leigh and Morten swapping places in the team , lets hope it doesn't backfire on us ! I think we'll be ok thursday but away at Somerset will be a different story unless Morten really steps it up . Leigh/Rohan should be a good partnership though .
