  1. Our problem in ht15 wasn't the riders it was the gate choice, would be nice to know who actually made that ridiculous decision, the riders, the captain or the team manager?? Whoever it was quite obviously had no idea where the race winners were coming from! Our problem in ht15 wasn't the riders it was the gate choice, would be nice to know who actually made that ridiculous decision, the riders, the captain or the team manager?? Whoever it was quite obviously had no idea where the race winners were coming from! And as a side issue, the Witches team on paper looks a good one but in reality this season so we have been far from it, very inconsistent with a number of underperforming riders. That's why there's alot of criticism at the moment!
  2. The decision when leading by 6 going into heat 15 to take gates 1 and 3 was astonishing ! Not 1 heat winner had come from gate 1 the whole night and we pick it ???? Even the otherwise unbeatable Kennet ran a last when coming from 1 . A chance to take the 4th league point truly blown by a simple gate choice in my opinion . To be fair however I believe the turning point of the entire meeting was Garrittys bike unfortunately for him and Rye giving up the ghost while leading , gifting us a 5-1 at a crucial time . Most of the Witches produced solid scoring with only Cam and Adam struggling , which is concerning . ( more news on Adams injury today apparently , hope its good news ! ) Must admit I wasn't expecting the victory but it was very welcome and made the journey home a much sweeter one .
  3. I wouldn't say the fish and chips I just had were quality, or maybe they were, just piss poor quality!
  4. Cardinal, where are you in the stadium, come and join myself and Baldyman near the green light at starting gate.
  5. Well, never actually been to Rye before but changing that today. With the Witches form at the moment this could be anything from a small away win to a massive home one and I would hedge my bets towards the latter if pressed. Can anyone be definitive on the actual line ups as I always like to print my own score sheets ?
  6. Let's look at some facts here. There is no doubt that Cook is arguably the best rider in the premier league and I was very surprised he was beaten 3 times by Witches riders last night. Secondly, he was clearly frustrated at being beaten and fully understandably showed it. Lastly, and without doubt he definitely has an attitude problem which was shown up big time last year at Foxhall with Ben Barker. Let's be honest, only someone who qualifies for an MBE award ( that's a Monumental Bell End Award ) is going to rip a heater off a wall and get himself thrown out of a meeting! No doubt I will get a pasting for this but hey ho facts is facts.
  7. Tend to agree with what's been said so far , however though in my opinion 3 Witches turned up for the whole meeting , 1 half way through and 3 not at all ! Would have been nice to be the first side to beat the Monarchs but was destined not to be . Little side issue , I don't actually recall a refereeing screw up tonight ! I'm not taking back what I said earlier about Barbara Horley but its certainly a first for her to get through a full meeting at Foxhall without one .
  8. Yup, horrible drizzle and what's worse was to discover the ref is Barbara ( I always make at least 1 or more screw up decisions per meeting ) Horley! Tonight's got disaster written all over it.
  9. Early weather update. At 7-00am was dull and drizzly in Ipswich but allegedly brightness is on the way! Always hopeful.
  10. Spooky how the man giving advice on track clearing of water goes by the name Cylone ! And also Tsunami has chipped in as well . is this some kind of sign or omen ? Hmmmm
  11. I don't think the weather on the day is going to be the main issue, I think it's going to be about the rain we've had in the last 24 hours (which is alot) and whether the water has drained away enough to get the track ready. With it being absolutely torrential yesterday, random flash flooding and fountains coming out of drains there is no doubt it would have been more lake Foxhall than a a motorsport stadium. Does anyone live close enough to check it out?
  12. So who's going to be optimistic about a positive outcome for the Witches in this one then ? Both teams expected to be at full strength so it could be an interesting encounter . Admittedly the weather could be the winner yet again , enough water has fallen in Ipswich today (Tuesday) to completely flood Foxhall so its gonna take some serious drying out over the next 2 days for the track to be raceable ! Forever hopeful of it going ahead and getting a good meeting with some decent racing , and an Ipswich win of course ! ( Side issue for anyone attending , its the 2nd day of the Suffolk Show so expect loads of extra traffic and leave yourselves plenty of time to get to Foxhall )
  13. Anything is possible as we know due to all sorts of factors like injuries to key riders at any time but after my early season optimism im finding it very tough to really have any belief in the current Witches lineup . We do however know that although some riders are trying Chris Louis patience he won't actually do anything about it . So , ultimately it looks like a season of mid table mediocrity to me . Still , onward and upward , hopefully !
  14. Not in the least im afraid . I think we are nothing more than a mid table team who are very likely to get absolutely battered by Edinburgh on Thursday and that will show us up for exactly what we are . " Average "
  15. Well , we couldn't beat a 5 man Newcastle team at home and lost to what was effectively a 4 man away ! As I said to Baldyman that just about sums us up this year . Very disappointing to say the least !
  16. Don't panic Diamonds fans , we've had our away win for the season and also appear to have the odd rider who can't get his head in gear for trips away from Foxhall . For me a home win is on the cards , after all you managed a draw at Ipswich with only 5 riders !
  17. Well, hats off to Baldyman if he goes to this one, personally I have the time and the money available to me at the moment but not the slightest inclination to actually make the trip with a doubt on the weather side of things. Have a good journey if you decide to go for it mate!
  18. I rather think the tables will be turned with the home team coming out on top .
  19. Now at stadium, people going in, slightest of drizzle, I'm giving it 20 mins!
  20. It's arrived in the town centre, decidedly soggy now!
  21. Of course nothing will be done on the basis of a weather forecast, they will just sit there and hope for the best! Most annoying factor is that it's very pleasant in Ipswich at the moment with the sun peeking out and it will probably end up as a last minute postponement as everyone is arriving at the stadium ( well that's never happened before has it?)
  22. If the weather does intervene at least it would give Gino and Cam time to recuperate a bit from their injuries .
  23. How is this going to pan out then? Different night, weather forecast looking distinctly iffy, will the Witches have a full team available, are Gino and Cam fit enough to ride and be competitive if they do? Lots of ifs and maybes but if it does all go ahead and according to plan I believe a home win is on the cards.
