I was just trying to make the point he has the ability to go further in the sport with his riding and leave nothing in the tank attitude. Was only going by what his other half was saying when I met her a Mildenhall the other week.

As well as being a Witches fan I pretty much go to every Mildenhall home meeting and Danny is already a legend there . He gives everything, loves winning and hates losing , Mr 110% every race ! (As Scott Nicholls would say) I believe its only his 4th or maybe 5th year in speedway and with the right sponsorship and equipment he could well find himself in the Premier league sooner rather than later and earning himself some much better money.

We have made a bit of a habit of allowing the opposition the odd point or 3 (once) at home this season but I'm hoping for a similar victory to that achieved in the P1 fixture in April. I do however imagine certain Aces riders may well be a bit better than last time around and it could be a bit closer or very tight. We do definitely need the win though with the Pie Rats guaranteed 3 pts at home to the Pussy cats on Thursday, just to keep in touch with the top of the table. Let's hope the weather is kind and we get to see 15 heats and a victory of course ! -

Maybe not but on his day he is certainly capable of finishing above some of the competition! -

Granted I haven't read this entire thread and I may have missed a comment somewhere on what I'm about to say but as far as Danny is concerned he's preparing for the biggest night of his life in tonight's British final! Just maybe his head wasn't quite in the right place last night or his best bike and engine were wrapped in cotton wool ready for said meeting? Just a thought as his balls out style and with his attitude towards racing I'm sure he would usually have accrued a lot more than he scored last night! -

If the ref had got his decisions right early in the meeting the overall gap would have been wider. He was a totally blind smeg head (polite description) -

The track was pants when we lost at home to Poole, gaters paradise and slick as f###. I hope they can do something better with it for tonight so it isn't follow the gating tarts and another home defeat! The majority of the Witches are not exactly renowned for their prowess in that department. -

There are plenty of roadworks around that area with 40mph speed limits. It was closed at night eastbound when we were at Peterborough a couple of weeks ago, diverting through Cambridge , whether that is still the case with westbound closures etc I'm sorry but I don't know. Maybe logon to Roadworks.org , activate live traffic in menu and it normally tells you about planned roadworks and closures. Check it out -

That's what we thought about the visit from Poole and look where that got us! -
Poole v Ipswich. Prem. 18th July 2019
Super Blue replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A bit of chat on here about our reserve pairings, let's be honest whoever ends up at reserve throughout the season it will be a strong pairing. At one point if you looked at this seasons averages Bomber could well have been in danger of going down there because there's not a very big gap between 1 and 7 overall ! -

Super Blue replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Oh well, the bubbles burst, season was good while it lasted. Poorly prepared track, slick as f##k, was great for gaters which proved to be our undoing. As I said in an earlier post if we can't beat a patched up side like Poole tonight we don't deserve to be top of the league and we didn't deserve anything with our performance !! -

Hmmmm, yet another Speedway thread discussing trolls and aliases. Let's get back to the meeting shall we. I for one would be very disappointed if we didn't comfortably turn over this Poole side and return to the top of the table on Thursday. On the official Witches preview they say that the Pirates are still a dangerous side away from home but if we don't get the 3pts easily against this team we don't deserve to be leading the league. I know they are having major injury issues at the moment but the Witches have had more than their fair share in recent years and it's about time something went our way! I still hope I get to see a decent meeting with some entertaining racing and I'm sent home a happy man with my team sitting pretty at the top of the Premiership. -
Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn Thursday 20th June
Super Blue replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's pretty quiet here as its tomorrow. I'm going for the Witches to keep their home record in tact but it could be closer than some think. Howarth should be a capable replacement for Jake and certainly should be beating the King's Lynn reserves. Having said that Lynn certainly do have a couple of riders who can score big at Foxhall ( especially Mr Radiator ) so our lads need to be on their game and do the business! -

Super Blue replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Summers is no replacement for Jake Allen as far as scoring potential is concerned and when was the last time Eddie Kennett rode the Lynn track? I have a feeling this will be a home win although I'd obviously love a Witches win or get something from the meeting. -
Ipswich v Swindon Prem Lge 13th June 2019
Super Blue replied to BluPanther's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Shame really that the damage had been done by all the previous rainfall as its turned out to be a bone dry evening. But as others have said I also prefer to have a meeting with 2 full teams that are 100% fit which will hopefully be the case when it's rearranged ! -

Good job Craig Cook doesn't ride for Swindon, he loves a wet track (NOT) as we found out last year! -

Time for a Bomber maximum, resulting in an easy win! Then I woke up. -

Well, try as I can to find a decent weather prediction if it goes ahead the track may well be over watered and it won't be Chris Louis's fault this time. Some of the predictions on here are interesting to say the least. A fit Jake would certainly get a hell of a lot more than 5pts. KP will be missed again, he usually chips in with a couple of important rides. I think a lot will depend on how well Eddie settles in, if he hits the ground running I think the Witches will win. Also Bombers form will be critical. If a couple of riders have bad nights when you've only got 6 it might not be pretty. Who knows. -
Ipswich vs Peterborough June 6th 7.30pm
Super Blue replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ultimately both teams can say absentees cost them points. Would Josh have scored much more than Kyle? Maybe but not too many more if his appearance for us was anything to go by. Hans would no doubt have got more than the 3 RR points but KP would also have got more than the 4 RR points. Oh and Jake would have got a hell of a lot more than 1 point so overall I think the result was probably closer than it would have been had both teams been complete. And yes as Chris Louis has admitted the track was not good so I think the overall result was a fair one. -

Anyway, back to speedway. This meeting could go anyway I'm sad to say, injuries to both sides not giving a fair reflection of the encounter it could or should have been. Personally I believe the Witches absentees will damage us more than the Panthers ones will and could give them a much better chance of upsetting our home record. Watching 2 depleted sides for £18 is not ideal in anyone's book, especially for a local Derby, I just hope it's entertaining and worth it! -
The more I think about this meeting being televised the more I've come to the conclusion that it's not going to be much of a spectacle for the viewers. The only way it's gonna be even remotely close is with every one of the Witches riders riding to 100% of their capability and got superhuman gating gloves on. Although we've made a good start to the season the above paragraph hasn't really happened yet, it's been our reserves mostly contributing to the victories. I hope we can at least keep the meeting interesting.

On principal I didn't even go to the home televised meeting against Wolves because if Swindon can do deals on entry why can't all the other Premiership teams? I know they wouldn't get double the attendance but at maybe a tenner I would have gone, as it was I enjoyed it from my sofa. The new season with good results so far has seen an increase in attendances at Foxhall but that was certainly not apparent on TV against Wolves. (Due to short sightedness of promotion) As Mikebv said its a flipping (not necessarily the word I would really like to use) long round trip from Ipswich , full price and for me would involve time off work on a Monday, by the time I got home I wouldn't be good for much the next day. Much as I would like to visit the NS Stadium sadly it's not gonna happen on a Monday night. Nuff said.
