  1. How Sheffield get on could change where we finish .
  2. I suppose tonight's ideal result for us would be for Rye to beat Sheffield so we are one step closer to the playoffs.
  3. Good grief, somebody saying we look a strong team, that's a first, we were the whipping boys home and away early in the season but to be fair since the team changes at home we've looked unbeatable! I still think it'll be a tough test on Thursday and I'll be more than happy with any kind of win if I'm honest. And at this stage of the season it doesn't matter to us if Newcastle take a point or not. I'm going for a 6-10pt margin home win.
  4. Well said guys, i was seriously thinking of starting a whole new thread entitled "Personal vendetta and petty squabbling" It would have been created so anybody with any issues could discuss, debate or argue to their hearts content without lowering the tone of this intended light hearted thread.
  5. If it's any consolation Macca my phones predictive text always wants to call Peterborough the Panties so don't feel like you're the only one who has keyboard issues. Anyway, do we reckon we're likely going to be involved in the playoffs now? If we are in and face Eddyburger I quite fancy our chances over 2 legs now we've got a couple of reserves that can actually score a few points. We'll see though, a fair bit more of water to go under the bridge as they say before we can think of an extended season yet.
  6. I would say qualification for the playoffs is now in our own hands but realistically we won't be getting much out of the trip to Newcastle so I think we're still in the realms of what happens elsewhere. However we are not the only ones with difficult away matches to get points from so it's a distinct possibility if not probability that we may make it. I'm hoping for the miracle which didn't even look remotely likely only a couple of weeks back!
  7. Well I started this thread as a bit of fun and although it has one or two detractors I think momentum is gathering and apart from initially a few knitting zombies moving away from the area if anything it appears more people are moving into the Massif zone to join the fun! Well at least that's how it looked from my vantage point on the first bend on Thursday anyway, and yes guys and gals I could hear you from there. With the playoffs now looking a real possibility I'm hoping to be fit enough to climb the stand and rejoin the collective before the season before is over, until that time keep up the good work and see you all soon.
  8. Will be keeping up to date with this one tonight as well as keeping an eye on results elsewhere in the vain hope a playoff place might be achievable but certainly won't be holding my breath. A 4pt away win vital but on the road away from Foxhall form has been ridiculously erratic to say the least with the Witches all year. I just hope we can do enough to put pressure on the teams immediately above us. Time will tell.
  9. Well I enjoyed seeing some speedway last night and apart from a very good performance by Steady there was very little backup from anyone else in the Tigers side. A pity Garrity came off in his first ride which obviously aggravated his wrist injury, maybe he wasn't really fit enough to race in the first place? Good performances all round from the Witches and we always knew Dannys impressive sequence of consecutive race wins would come to an end eventually. As I've said before unless some kind of miracle occurs our season ends in the next week or so but at least we've ended it well looking totally unbeatable at home. Such a shame we didn't start as well or we'd be looking forward to the playoffs right now. We can always hope I suppose.
  10. I may be in attendance tonight if I can secure my lift but I'll have to be supporting from somewhere around the first bend, I've got no hope of hobbling all the way round and up to the Massif I'm afraid.
  11. It's all rather quiet on this thread. Given how easy it was for Glasgow to beat Sheffield and the Witches recent home form I'd like to think it would be a nice little comfortable home win, but also with the recent inactivity for some of the riders you never know. I'm going for a mid 50's pts Witches win with Danny continuing his unbeaten Foxhall run depending of course on young Mr Garrity's form and participation. Steady hasn't exactly been in rip roaring form of late either. We will see come Thursday evening, perhaps the thread will liven up closer to the meeting?
  12. To be fair any Premier league top 20 that has Tungate right at the top I find quite worry for the real top riders in the league.
  13. I don't do Facebook and I doubt I'll be visiting Foxhall again this season so if the Massif is to officially be on social media it's over to someone else.
  14. Well I'd like to think the Witches will put the effort in and get a result here but with this one being a meeting between two of the leagues also rans it could prove to be a nothing match. If only for a better start to our league campaign and it might have really meant something on Thursday.
  15. I think it might be sensible to see what the finishing averages look like for all the guys before we start team building for next season.
  16. God I'd love to be there, the Massif reaching new levels every week by the sounds of it.
  17. Greetings peeps, I hope and expect a comfortable home win for this meeting but I'm sure the Massif will continue to make plenty of noise in my absence. Have a good time everyone and see you when I'm fit and healthy again.
  18. Well have fun everyone, I will be following on updates, I did think about bringing a cowbell in here for when we get a 5-1 but then thought better of it!
  19. So any new instruments in line for Thursday then guys?
  20. Time to get this one going I think. So what will occur this time when Scunny come to the Heath? Back at the start of the season they certainly caught us off guard and went away victorious against expectations. Recently though, no doubt spurred on by the noisy Massif and a few team changes I believe we are a much different outfit that should take all three league points from the meeting. However, they do have a few riders in their lineup that are more than capable of scoring well. Josh Auty, usually very hit and miss at Foxhall but he holds the No1 race jacket for good reason. Ryan Douglas, who rode so well guesting for us a few weeks back will be a danger man. Lewis Kerr, as we know can win a race or two here. MPT, usually indifferent round Foxhall but? Fritz Wallner, never heard of him so who knows what he will do. Wilko, should always score a few from reserve. And Josh Bailey will be good for a point or two. So all in all I think a home win is on the cards but we shouldn't be complacent about the Scorpions lowly league position. Over to you guys and gals.
