In my humble opinion I would have said that there was at least 1 more layer of dirt to go on the top before it could be raced, the bend reshaping was finished though. But I'm no track man so who knows.

You beat me to it, I nipped by Foxhall earlier to find out if the diner is still open week days, it's not officially open but rumour has it some food and drink will be available on the 27th March for those who happen to be passing in the afternoon. Tracks coming on as well.

I have no idea why my poxy phone decided to insert a quote Bruv.

Race suits look far more professional!

Ben Fund
Super Blue replied to gee jay's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I've never managed to get to a Ben fund meeting before but likely to go to this one, how much is the admission usually? Hopefully most of it goes straight into the Fund pot. -
Merry Christmas to one and all, have a great time!

Let's just hope Michael proves to be a wise signing and not a Jari Makinen type mistake. I'm sure CL must have done his homework and I will be fully behind the lad come March next year. As for the rest of the team it's pretty much what I was expecting after various rumours came out. We know exactly what we are going to get from them, hopefully Connor can push on next season and score more at home. Is it March yet?
-
I don't think Connor particularly likes the Foxhall track, somebody said his away average is better than home which really should never happen in speedway.
-
Could depend on how much they offer to pay him.
-
Was this on Facebook? I haven't seen any confirmation anywhere. Anyway I agree with alot of people about the reserves and although it would be harsh on Connor and Nathan I believe that the way to go should be with Danyon and Jordan Jenkins leaving 38.5 for a very strong top 5. Danny, Nico and Cam all definites for me and depending on if Glasgow rumours are true or not i would like to see Rory back. If not, Scott is always good for a reasonable point return. I like Kyles determination but does tend to over ride Foxhall, would certainly be welcome to return though. If the team has already been finalised it would be nice to know soon so we can debate it's chances next season.

So it took from the 17th to the 19th to decide that lot! Sounds like too much time at the pool side drinking to me.

I never thought Sedgmen was a good signing and was proved right, although I certainly didn't get on his back originally It didn't last long with his lack of effort. I think by the end the general feeling amongst Witches fans was similar to that of Worky fans to James Sarjeant. The most galling thing for me was the fact that he never gave up once in his races at the Australian GP. Chris Louis tried to dispense with his services and as we all know it fell through, he then said he was still fully committed to the Witches. What a load of Bow locks that statement turned out to be! A complete and utter waster who will never be welcomed in my team again.
-
Probably, but we must have had it for a little while.
-
We did have a pairs trophy not so long back, must have put it on a shelf or in a cupboard somewhere.
-
Whatever Drew's current average is he is definitely a talented youngster who will go places in Speedway, that's a certainty if he avoids major injuries.
-
Yes, he's an absolute hmm, well it rhymes with banker. Was a waste of space and obviously didn't take kindly to the attempt at being replaced. The only place he's going to get a ride next season is probably Edinburgh, and the're welcome to him!

Mildenhall V Eastbourne / Iow Sunday 29th October
Super Blue replied to cityrebel's topic in National League Speedway
Thanks, I don't do Facebook hence I asked the question. Also does it start at 4-00pm as per SGB website? Seems strange a double header starting an hour later than usual? -

Although I'd seriously like to have one last fix of speedway for the season my attendance very much depends on the guest at No1 for the Tigers. Anybody less than a sensible equivalent for Connor and it seems pointless wasting my money, that's my opinion anyway. So if anyone can find out and post on here I would definitely appreciate it before making my decision? Thanks in advance to anyone in the know. -
Just checked on Peterborough website, still no preview about their team or the meeting tomorrow, I'd have thought that they might want to explain the thought process behind what their expected lineup allegedly is? Maybe not! Anyway, checking the weather as well and there's a possibility of some wet stuff around but hopefully will be OK as we are running out of time for any rain offs!

I know this has been partially discussed on the other thread but I think it deserves it's own. So the guy who we've all been calling Judas Nicholls now has the opportunity to be a hero for us. Let's be honest it can only happen in speedway! Personally I'm just looking forward to Thursday when the Witches should easily overcome the 4pt deficit from the first leg to take the trophy. If they don't on home shale against a patched up Panthers side they deserve to be shot at dawn. I'm going for a 10 to 20 point win and the KO cup of course!
