Somerset V Workington 12th September
The Blindman replied to EnglishRoundabout's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As Josh showed last night it is much harder to ride against Somerset than for them. -
Somerset V Plymouth 18th April
The Blindman replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All I can say is that from keeping an eye on the updates we saw Plymouth make a spirited fightback to gain an away point, I am sure refereeing decisions will of evened themselves out by the end of the two legs. well done to all riders and lets hope tomorrow see's another cracker for the fans and a safe meeting for all the riders. -

Somerset V Peterborough (lc) 11/4/14

Anyone who thinks Somerset is in Devon must be two chips short of a happy meal :-) Good luck to both sets of riders but a bit more luck to the Somerset boys. -

I loved some of the comments that David Tapp made, full of Aussie humour and I would love to hear more from him on other GP's. Very well done to Smoli too an amazing come back in the final. -
Somerset V Newcastle 04/04/14

Well he isn't so for god sake change the bloody record :-/ Nobody was on here saying he should be on a 7 when he scored 2 at Ippo last night -
Nothing would surprise me with the Rebels but I think it could be a change at reserve with a comeback from Jason Crump on a 3 ave to replace Charlie or Paul :-P
-
I am pleased Nick is back but do sympathise with Ty, I and I expect any of you on here would be really miffed if we invested money to do a job and then the day before we were due to start we were told over the phone that we were not wanted anymore. Ty Proctor on his day is a real talent and I am sure that during the season he will be seen in the PL, he will after his initial annoyance probably realise that Somerset done what was in their best interest as any business would and get on with what he does best just to show what might of been.
-
The Brady Kurtz thing is getting a bit boring now, get over it and move on, I am sure it would of been OK if he was riding for any other club. Bad luck on Ty but great news that Nick is back.

My view from the Westcountry is a little different to Najjer's, I feel that the Sheffield team assembled is just as attractive as the Somerset side. It could even be better if Jason Doyle's situation isn't sorted. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think the Tigers certainly look a lot stronger than last season.

You better go have 7 or 8 burgers, a ham sandwich and a lay down after that lot Mr T or should I say Womble 53
-
With the team they have put together I wouldn't bank on it OT :-)
-
It was actually!!!. I had Sky Sports on and it was one of the rare occasions that Poole featured on there
-
Because he was once seen in Poole standing within 100yards of Matt Ford :-)

Bill owns the stadium and is a farmer so it will either be polystyrene or straw
-
Who gives a toss, every other team could of signed him on a 3.00 ave but they didn't end off. Now get over it for god sake and move on, Somerset will be there or thereabouts but not guaranteed league winners. Good luck to Josh G, Alex, Kyle and Sam Masters with their new teams, I have not been to speedway for three years but may venture to Plymouth or Somerset on the odd occasion during the coming season.

Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06
The Blindman replied to Starman2006's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
OK, So Deek went down quicker than a whores drawers on a busy night and Cookie may have rolled at the start!!!! Who cares???, from watching on TV I saw one of the best meetings ever on Sky, and those visiting for the first time and seeing that will surely be back for more. I think that even if a rider rolls slightly but doesn't touch the tapes he should be allowed to carry on and not get excluded or warned, 50% of the time it will pay off and the other 50% it won't. Edinburgh were fantastic last night and it's a delight to see Cookie doing well, wish a few more English riders had the guts and ability that he has. Both teams done the PL proud. -
Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06
The Blindman replied to Starman2006's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Cracking meeting, Somerset seem to be very inconsistent in certain departments, I too am a bit worried about Tom as he should of kicked on from last season but seems to of gone backwards a bit, in saying that Edinburgh came to do a job and that's what they did. Very impressed with the Monarchs but feel Somerset lost the meeting by sleeping on the job. So it's back to the inferior EL tomorrow -
