  1. Quite possibly the Eurotunnel...................
  2. I didn't think they were particularly old........ I think the crowd level on Friday was as much to do with the horrendous traffic problems on the M5 (especially north-bound) that night which more than likely prevent many from getting to OTA, or put them off from either trying to get there.
  3. Pardubice, Czech Republic Fri 29th 1 Mikkel Michelsen (DMU Denmark) 2 Eduard Krcmar (ACCR Czech Republic) 3 Fredrik Engman (SVEMO Sweden) 4 Andzejs Lebedevs (LaMSF Latvia) 5 Kyle Howarth (ACU Great Britain) 6 Victor Kulakov (MFR Russia) 7 Michael Härtel (DMSB Germany) 8 Brady Kurtz (MA Australia) 9 Nike Lunna (SML Finland) 10 Zdenek Holub (ACCR Czech Republic) 11 Adrian Gala (PZM Poland) 12 Ziga Kovačič (AMZS Slovenia) 13 Joel Andersson (SVEMO Sweden) 14 Jiri Nieminen (SML Finland) 15 Vadim Tarasenko (MFR Russia) 16 Pawel Przedpelski (PZM Poland) 17 Reserve Josef Novak (ACCR Czech Republic) 18 Reserve Martin Mejtsky (ACCR Czech Republic) Terenzano, Italy Sat 30th 1 Nicolas Vicentin (FMI Italy) 2 Mikkel Bech Jensen (DMU Denmark) 3 Ondrej Smetana (ACCR Czech Republic) 4 Dimitri Bergé (FFM France) 5 Stefan Nielsen (ACU Great Britain) 6 Max Fricke (MA Australia) 7 Mark Riss (DMSB Germany) 8 Artur Czaja (PZM Poland) 9 John Bernard (FFM France) 10 Nikolaj B Jakobsen (DMU Denmark) 11 Jannik Klein (OeAMTC Austria) 12 Ashley Morris (ACU Great Britain) 13 Michele Paco Castagna (FMI Italy) 14 Hayden Sims (MNZ New Zealand) 15 Viktor Palovaara (SVEMO Sweden) 16 Jack Holder (MA Australia) 17 Reserve Giorgio Trentin (FMI Italy) 18 Reserve Ivan Garzaro (FMI Italy) Not seen the line up for Žarnovica yet, which is also on Saturday My understanding is that 5 go through from Pardubice and Terenzano & 4 from Žarnovica + 2 wildcards in each of the 3 rounds which Finals to be decided over at Lonigo, Lubin & Pardubice in July, August & September.
  4. But with the application of the 5% uplift for home riders introduced in the PL this year, then Kůs would fit 18.11.1 If the absent Rider is in the Top 1 – 5 of the Team, then the Missing Rider’s MA will be enhanced by + 5% at a Home Meeting to determine the allowance for the Guest Rider.
  5. We got a fence that needs to be put up at home if you're a handy fencer As to other sports; Ice Hockey, Road & Track Cycling, Biathlon.
  6. No it didn't, the meeting preview was subsequently updated to cover fact there would be guest replacements for both Rye House reserves.
  7. I remember some years ago at Somerset, someone started a topic on the then Forum asking if Rebels fans preferred to see Somerset win at home each week, but with little entertainment value or whether they preferred it if the racing was good & close, but it did mean that Somerset would lose at home every now and then. The vast majority 'voted' for the latter scenario..................until, that is, Somerset lost a few matches at home, even though the racing was top drawer, then, boy, did the moaning start!
  8. Josh is riding for Somerset on Friday night, as confirmed on Rebels website and in press release by Poole; "I am very pleased to welcome Josh back in this temporary measure and whilst we won't be able to use him on Friday evening when we are at Swindon due to his Somerset commitments, he will be in for the Good Friday morning, which opens our league campaign."
  9. Nothing broken, finger dislocated, was put back in place at hospital. Charles will miss tonight's match at Rye House but should be back in side for next Friday's home match v Plymouth.
  10. I'm surprised that you rate Barker's chances of signing for Somerset that high to be honest....
  11. It is a server issue affect all the club website's operating off that particular server....
  12. I think that you shouldn't give up the day job
  13. Somerset did not finish top of PL table in 2012, Newcastle did.....Somerset were 3rd and lost in the Final that year to Scunthorpe who finished 2nd in the PL table
  14. So that's how he sustained his shoulder injury
  15. I thought you would have learned your lesson with regards to the cider with the stuff I got you a few week's ago....but then again, drink a couple of pints of it :drink: and then you'll easily forget what you've just endured watching at Rye House ...instant remedy...until the headache kicks in afterwards!
  16. Left Glastonbury at 9.15 am, back home in Glastonbury at 4.45 am next morning....two detours on M6 coming home due to over-night closures for road works. But whilst there was a potential mega disaster in that The Curzon Grill in Maryport is no longer open on Saturday's and Sunday's, we found a very nice alternative eating establishment just by the harbour-side in Maryport so that particular food-related disaster was thankfully averted!
  17. A comment in very poor taste to say the least given the nature of the two accidents which occurred, one in each match. I think credit should be given to Workington promotion and the co-operation of both the Glasgow as well as the Somerset management present last night which ensured the fans who were present did get to see both matches get as far as they did.
  18. All not starting a thread shows is a possible lack of interest in BSF, not necessarily a lack of interest in any particular club.....there have been a number of occasions this season when a meeting thread has either not been started or has been done so late on by other folk who seem to think that interest in a meeting can only be gauged by whether or not a meeting thread has been started.
  19. That is correct, there is a six heat, 4 riders per side, 2nd half challenge after the main Somerset v Edinburgh meeting (time permitting) The two line ups are Exeter: Richard Andrews, Harvie Brown, Tyler Govier, Matt Bates Castleford: Cameron David Hoskins, Saul Bulley, Adam Sheppard, Sean Phillips
  20. You can be as pedantic as you like, but whichever way you look at it, it was still a cracking meeting, up there as probably one of the best at the OTA this year, and that's saying something given the standard of racing seen there so far this year.
  21. While looking at the weather radar it is just starting to rain at the track.....which just goes to prove that where you live has little or no bearing on the weather at the Oaktree Arena !
  22. Tonight's Somerset v Sheffield PL match has been postponed due to waterlogged track.
  23. Todd Kurtz hasn't received a reduction, his average in the Final averages on BSPA site showing him as 4.92 is incorrect, his average was confirmed at the AGM as being 4.85.
  24. Not quite OT....as far as I understand it, the Elite League will only take priority if the rider in question is an asset of that Elite League club, irrespective of whom signed them first, so for example: Craig Cook riding for both Belle Vue & Edinburgh. He is an Edinburgh asset so Edinburgh will have priority on his services Richie Worrall riding for both Belle Vue & Ipswich. He is a Belle Vue asset so they will have priority on his services in any fixture clashes If a rider is an asset of neither club he is riding for, then the PL team have priority on his services. As I say, that's how I understand the arrangements for 2014
