  1. Philip Rising confirmed that most Speedway Star reader have no interest in these issues. I would like to hear more feedback from the readership. When I hear riders comments like "big thank you to my tuner Mr. K oder Mr. PJ oder Mr. FG from Denmark .... Fact is, that most SGP riders spent a lot of money for different engine from different tuners! Furthermore I still have not understood how radical Freddie Lindgren changed from GTR back to GM. FL states he has not finished yet with Marcel Gerhard and GTR, but in the Gorzow pits he had 3 Graversen-GM's ... When you read that also Tai Woffinden had to change for engines from the danish tuner, I personally would like to know more details
  2. Thank you Philip for your spy-feedback. One thing is crytalclear, Marcel Gerhard & Suter Engineering have invested much more time & money into the GTR-project than Fredrik Lindgren. Maybe as swiss supporter I am a little biased but these are facts.
  3. I agree "why suffering" but from the outside I can't understand it. Especially on the big tracks in Poland he seemed to be as fast as earlier this season. His results in England over the last few weeks were less impressive though. Fact is, since he changed 2016 from GM to GTR he looked a different rider than before. For that reason I feel sorry for the swiss GTR-team, especially Marcel Gerhard who has put so much effort into his project and will feel betrayed .... Why not try everything to find if there are problems with GTR instead of a short-term switch to GM. Some other GP-riders have shown more loyalty to their engine-tuners than Freddie.
  4. we'll see which engine he will ride tomorrow and for the remaining season ...
  5. When I noticed the latest picture on Fredrik Lindgren's Facebookpage I thought at first I would be a late april-joke. It seem despite all his success on the Swiss Gerhard-GTR-engine some dark forces from behind persuaded him to change back to the Italian-GM-machinery. Loyality does not seem a priority for him. We'll see how many points he will mark in the 2nd half of the GP-season.
  6. Anybody who was at Wembley 1981 knows it better !!!
  7. In my opinion it's the combination: rider & machine. Fredrik Lindgren seems to ride stronger already about since last September/October. The GTR team has got more feedback from last season, testing etc. The Package FL & GTR is nowadays more impressive than least season. On the other hand, you see now and then riders in the GP struggling for a while and suddenly they come back scoring points. Don't forget, basic GM-design comes back from the Eighties, was developed and developed , but GTR is new technique for the future... PS: I do agree too with the opinion of GRW123 regarding Hancock & Pedersen. Anyway it is highly competitive and interesting GP-season so far.
  8. and you can see in the runoff that the lead changed 4 times ! FL passed on the inside but still within the rules: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufcubTLDSP0
  9. From my point of view it was an unfortunate 1st bend crash. Lindgren lifted yes, but Harris did collide with Doyle ....some say the referee made a correct decision. Anyway, SGP is a hard competition. Remember last years Melbourne GP, Doyle against Hancock ... Lindgren rode hard but not unfair in my opinion. You cannot compare him to many of N. Pedersen kamikaze-actions (check the video of Pardubice, how he ran straight into Sayfutdinov, that one looked really brainless ! ) Doyle is a great rider but this season he took often many risks in passing and succeed. The air fence should really be improved asap, that seems to be the most important conclusion. About Woffy and which rider you can't trust, he did not mention his name. Anyway, speedy recovery to Jason Doyle. Anyone interested to check Freddie Lindgrens riding, have a look at the runoff from the SGP challenge Vetlanda, right at the end of this good quality video from the FIM an enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufcubTLDSP0
  10. well I just saw that crash on youtube, why o why did Nicki try this stupid attempt on Emil Sayfutdinov. from my point of view this was brainless action from the Danish champion.
  11. Thank you very much, now I'm trying to find but it seems not to be easy on this site ..... cheers from Switzerland, Rolf
  12. BT Sport 1 coverage, will it be possible to see on youtube soon ? would love to watch the runoff ....
  13. Laguta wild card = round in Togliatti Lebedevs wild card = round in Daugavpils Milik wild card = why, maybe he has a godfather within SEC One Sport ? When I saw the youtube of the Olching qualifier last week, Heat 13 ref took 1 point of Fredrik Lindgren (only 1 instead of 2 points ...) Heat 20, Freddie gets disqualified, absolutely not his fault, Pawlicky fell by his own. FL lost 3 - 4 points. Just review it, the referee made 2 very bad decisions. Feel very unhappy for Freddie ....(and his GTR-engine-Team) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt0_xI_bwOA
  14. Don't agree with you. Emil has had more than 1 bad injury. I think that crash in the polish league at the end of 2014. then all his problems with polish promoters. I think he does right. Let's hope he will back sooner or later in SGP circus. For me he is probably the only rider these days capable of challenging Woffy. Don't forget life has more to offer than just racing ....
  15. check the record, Rybnik was definitely a gaters paradise, and Bomber qualified
  16. Pretty cool idea, would love to see such a meeting !
  17. let's have a look a this years qualification. Only the Top Three got qualification for next year. SGP Challenge in Rybnik was just another gaters paradise ..... Why not create 3 different final qualification meetings. 1 in Poland, 1 Sweden or Denmark, 1 in Italy or Germany for example. take the Top Five or Six from these 3 meetings with addition of points from every race for next years GP. Under such circumstances you would have a fairer way to qualify. Feedback please, thank you.
  18. Thank you for all your interesting comments.Theoretically, Vaculik competing on Harris machinery (GTR Gerhard engine) would mark many more points than Harris. from my point of view ! Chris did a good job through the challenge and could qualify in his last heat in Rybnik when he passed Pawlicki .... Vaculik could not qualify on difficult track at Terenzano in his semifinal. Was therefore only reserve in Rybnik.
  19. I feel sorry for this guy. He was unlucky in his Terenzano Semifinal. With respect to a rider like Chris Harris I think MV could show much more in the GP series. Let's hope he can get a wild card ? Or he will be able to qualify for 2017.
  20. Why not give Martin Vaculik a new chance for 2016. Think after his results in the Polish ekstraliga he could be very interesting to see in SGP again. He was unlucky in his SGP challenge semifinal ...
  21. So Emil Sayfutdinov seems to have long experience with neck braces. Ask him for advice, print in the Speedway Star .....
  22. Thank you for your answer Philip and your effort, to bring up this subject. Nevertheless, I fully agree that NB's are not the perfect answer, but worth trying. I would like to hear opinions of top Motocross-riders about it.Or have a look a Formula 1 Hans system ... in the beginning many top drivers didn't like it but after while got used to it ....
  23. another 2 riders did wear a neck brace last nigh: Jason Doyle and Bartosz Zmarzlik. As far as I have heard many Motocross riders use it for years. FIM really should take care of this subject. Please read the link: www.dirtrider in my topic above .....
  24. thank you Ghostwalker, that makes still only 3 top riders though .... would like to hear opinions of these 3 guys about this subject ?
