Then we’re obviously completely different kinds of people. It’s rude, and disrespectful.
-
Literally every race every meeting here he gives it his all. Not only is he a points machine but he’s hugely entertaining with it. Committed, dominant AND entertaining, what more would you want?

The world number 10 was the standout rider in the Premiership in 2022 and he revealed how a press day encounter gave him some extra motivation to score well for the club. “I had a funny encounter when I first signed at Ipswich, on press and practice day one of the trackmen said to me ‘welcome to Ipswich, we didn’t really want you as a number one, we wanted Chris Holder but hopefully you can do your job!’ That sat in my mind a bit“ What a thing to say ffs! If you’re reading this and it was you you’re an absolute bellend.
-
LOL a typical response from a fan of another team that hasn’t signed him. The same always got trotted out when Leigh Adams, Jason Crump and Hans Nielsen had similar averages. Doyle is unlikely to improve that average no, but don’t pretend you wouldn’t love him leading your team. He’s outstanding in this league and your response comes across as pure jealousy. Enjoy KK.

Peterborough Panthers 2023

Tungate has signed. -
Ipswich had the best value season ticket out of all of them. £205 for 12 meetings, meaning an entrance fee of £17 instead of the £20 for paying on the day. Just don’t be ill..
-
Sorry we’ll agree to disagree. At a time when EVERYTHING is going through the roof price wise we can’t expect Speedway promotions not to increase their prices when they’ll also be seeing increasing costs themselves. I don’t believe it’s just laziness, it’s a case of needs must. I’ve already said Sheffield’s price hike is excessive and they’ve taken a big risk there, a £3 increase is surprising although they were a pound cheaper than everyone else last year at £19.
-
I won’t! That’s a 100% increase! I always popped in and grabbed a box now and again as I pass the place on my way to work. I now refuse to pay 2 quid for somethings I paid a quid for weeks earlier. They went up overnight! Like a lot of other things. Speedway is different, an increase to 21 quid from 20 isn’t anywhere close to 100% increase is it, in fact it’s minuscule. Don’t really understand anyone happy to go and pay 20 but refuse to go at 21. We don’t yet know what the Ipswich prices are and it might in fact be more than a quid increase. Sheffield’s price hike of 3 quid though will certainly test a few that’s for sure!
-
Can’t expect prices NOT to go up unfortunately. Literally everything has gone up. Box of Maltese’s used to cost you a quid in b&m a year ago, it’s now 2 quid. Cost will have gone up for the promotions too let’s not forget so an increase is to be expected. They have to still pitch it right obviously, but it’s a shame that some will unfortunately not be able to or willing to, attend like they used to.

Has Louis pinched another rider from under someone’s nose? Did it with Batch last year..
-
Unlikely! Louis doesn’t seem to look further than his own back yard for riders.
-
Do you want your club to win anything or not? Being “fair” on the lad and putting him back in for the reasons you state is exactly the reason why Ipswich haven’t won a pot for donkeys years. Hume as a senior reserve spells nothing but disaster. Both Leicester and Peterborough offered deals to Hume so he’ll get fixed up but I’ll say this now, whoever signs him as their senior reserve won’t win a bean regardless of who is in their top 5.
-
Sorry Skidder.
-
Rides it as well as anywhere else. Louis also said he didn’t want him gone more than a year, two years max. May have changed his mind of course. That’s another myth. He’ll go where he’s told. Riders don’t have the power people think they have. Harris had no desire to move to Foxhall after he’d agreed a deal with Peterborough a few seasons ago, but he had no choice. If Louis wants Kemp back at Ipswich as the rising star then he’ll be at Ipswich.
-
Never thought I’d see a post from you without your usual half dozen exclamation marks!!!!!!! You feeling ok? Horrible habit you’ve got there.
-
Then he can’t be in the side. If Ipswich go with a rising star plus Hume at 6 then they’ll finish bottom.
-
He hasn’t.
-
Would you have confidence that Lambert would come back here and give it 100% in every meeting like Jason Doyle does? I wouldn’t. And that’s pretty shocking to say because one is a Brit and one is an Aussie but there you go. Doyle is worth more to a Premiership club than Lambert. If Lambert does commit to a full season here and you back him to have a better season than Doyle with actual money, you’ll lose it.
-
Was going to say the same you beat me to it. Stuff the rules, “we want to see the best riders” is the trendy saying these days isn’t it? So bugger it, Chuck him in why not!

Belle Vue v Ipswich Play off semi 2nd leg 3 Oct
Steve Irving replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They batter everyone there. Sheffield got done there by a similar score last week. When most clubs have an off night at home they lose, Belle Vue have an off night at home and they still win, just not by a landslide. By far the biggest home track advantage in the league. -

You’re missing the point yet again! Whether you think it’s “sensible” is irrelevant! Oh never mind I give up. -

Again you’re completely missing the point! Not sure many DO think it’s better to use guests actually. Supporters don’t make the rules and plenty don’t agree with a lot of them. The issue is expecting clubs to keep to the rules that they’ve all agreed to whether you agree with them or not. -
British speedway is a joke.
Steve Irving replied to chrismorton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think it’s clear the rule was league fixtures. Not one but two clubs made changes before the league campaign, and yet neither was challenged by any of the others. No club tried to make a change between 25% and 75% of league fixtures did they? A poorly explained rule yes, but ultimately it explained itself in the end. -
Anyone that has paid any attention to the league this year, will know full well the home advantage Belle Vue have. And to think people said that Belle Vue was such a “fair track” and that there was little to none home advantage. LOL. How many 60+ scores have you had at home Phil? And yet without looking at the stats, I’m guessing your away record is one of if not THE worst in the top 4?? That tells you everything you need to know about your home advantage. Keep in within 20 at Foxhall and you’ll still be favourites to progress. Why do you constantly keep doing this as if the Witches are some sh!te team that finished bottom? Despite on Eurosport Monday night with Stead, Tatum, and the other presenters claiming every 5 minutes that they had “won the league”, “finished top” etc etc, they’ve done no such thing! Now if Sheffield beat Ipswich in Ipswich’ last remaining fixture then they’ll have achieved that. But that’s not yet settled is it. You’re doing Ipswich a disservice, good side as the table suggests, (joint top on points), but the home advantage Belle Vue have will see them through to the final.
