Surely the discussion is the UK? He’s talking absolute bollocks by stating Masters isn’t a genuine number 1 in this league when he blatantly is. This is similar to “Holder Fricke and Kurtz are now better riders than Doyle” that we heard last winter when the fact is those riders aren’t in the same stratosphere as Doyle in this Country. There isn’t a single fan of a UK club that would pick Tungate in their side over Sam Masters.

Well I’m hearing the deal with Emil is done from a financial point of view. It’s now a question of how long Chris Louis is prepared to wait before moving on. Not an easy deal to complete for obvious reasons.
-
Wouldn’t make a jot of difference though if either was signed along with Emil. There’d be 4.27 left, so you may as well say you’re signing them pretty much on their real averages. The benefit of the 25% would instantly disappear.
-
You have to laugh really, only Poole supporters can come up with the tripe that one of their precious little riders is better than a rider who comfortably has a better average than him. Good luck to both Wolves and Peterborough fans because their threads will now be swarmed by the Poole mafia who’ll make it all about them.

There was a few meetings from memory, I’m thinking the Wolves meeting where the inside wasn’t working and the outside was literally the only place to be. Was definitely inconsistencies there which isn’t surprising as that’ll be the same for all tracks. Weather obviously plays a huge part in that. Can be a pretty thankless task prepping tracks.

What a race that is!

Give over ffs Flint averaged nearly a point and a half more than Zach Cook over the course of the season, which lasts from April to October. Flint has far far more potential than Zach Cook and you know it.

If Ipswich sign Sayfutdinov I’ll run a lap at Foxhall first meeting in my birthday suit. -

My point was that it’s all coming from Phil and Phil only, as apposed to ITK’s plural as was suggested. -

Guy Nicholls could sign off the contracts for both without batting an eyelid. This fella is minted beyond belief. He made a 100,000 donation to an Ipswich school 3 years ago, and his businesses and personal wealth have rocketed since even then! What works in Ipswich’ favour as apposed to other wealthy backers at other clubs, is that Nicholls is as big a fan as anyone. He’s been standing on the terraces at Foxhall on a weekly basis since the 70’s and is a massive fan of the club. If Louis went cap in hand and said “I can get Emil in with your help and have a real push for the title” then he could be easily persuaded. Crump was signed on a ridiculous deal for a rider who had been retired for years, but the deal was signed off with no qualms. -

It’s just PhilTheAce isn’t it? Not seen it mentioned from anyone else. It’s total guff as far as I’m concerned. The delay is more likely far simpler than that, they haven’t a clue who to fill the last two spots and are scrambling around the continent trying to get someone to say “yes”. -

Just goes to show you never can count a signing as done until it’s announced. Tungate was in at Peterborough a few weeks ago and I know that for a fact. -

Not sure it is and I’d personally be very wary of signing him. He gave an interview to the Bournemouth echo only a few weeks ago saying he’d love to rejoin Poole if they moved back up, and that it was never the same for him when he rode for someone else. Lynn fans will certainly back up those comments! Just how much commitment and effort would he give either Peterborough or Ipswich? It’s a gamble for me. -
Has the kid pissed in your Ovaltine or something? This is the third time you’ve said this in as many weeks!! We get it..

Johnson said “we are pressing ahead with everything, and we have just about everything sorted rider wise, it’s just a bit of final stuff that needs to be discussed. We were actually all ready to make an announcement earlier this week, but things have changed somewhat so we’ve had to hold fire on that until it’s all sorted.” Little snippet from the Speedway Star. Sounds to me that they’ve possibly been gazumped for a rider they thought they had? -
I was once told by a promoter a couple of years ago that they sold between 3 and 4 hundred programmes a meeting, and their average gate was around the 1500 mark. With the price increases just to get in amongst everything else, I’d imagine that number will fall further and surely the programme will be one of the main things sacrificed for those feeling the pinch.

Not once Worrall is confirmed no. Ritchie Worrall is in.
-
It’ll be Heeps then
-
True, but Doyle never started on his current figure and Louis took a lot of stick for being so far under. I just don’t think he’d do that again but we’ll see.
-
Trouble there is R Worrall and Riss leaves you 6.12 for your last rider. Batchelor is not in the team, so who else fits? None from what I can see. There’s a couple of 5 pointers sure, Andersen and Cook, but there’s no way Chris Louis will leave the team over a point under when Doyle took up 10.32. Ritchie Worrall and Jake Allen leaves just over 8 to get an 8 pointer in whether that be Sayfutdinov or someone else.
-
Jake Allen is on 4.00. Could slot in at 2, keep Rew at reserve, and more importantly keep Spiderman1 happy.
-
Sorry don’t mean to come across as “I know something you don’t” which can be irritating I know, but as of today he definitely isn’t in the Ipswich team.
-
No Batchelor.
-
Something has changed because he wasn’t originally in the team.
