Nothing deluded about it! You’re hoping it’s delusion because the ONLY set of fans that want Sayfutdinov here are Ipswich supporters. All this “I really hope he does come cos it’s great for our league but I just can’t see it” is complete b0llocks that most of us can see right through! Whether you or Tinywhatshisface from 6 finger land who continues to stick his fingers in his ears and go blah blah blah and pretend it’s all still rumour with no substance, the fact is that Louis is actively trying to get this deal done. Whether he’s ultimately successful is neither here nor there and won’t prove you or anyone else who maintains he’s “definitely not coming” right. Louis will know more than you on what this deal needs to get over the line, and the fact he’s still actively pursuing it tells you that he believes he can get it done. If it was black and white with little to no chance he would have moved on to someone else, that is currently NOT the case. -

Chris Holder, Ritchie Worrall, Hans Andersen. One left. -
Waiting on a visa? I’d say that all but confirms it isn’t Ritchie Worrall..

Depends. Does he even know anything about the sport? To him, Andersen and Worrall might be cracking signings.. -
Nicki Pedersen? Maybe long in the tooth but still scoring very well. Biggest issue and concern is the injury.
-
But why are they not doing the same for every other rider then? Just these three? Is it about the war or isn’t it? If they’re continuing to pontificate about the war in the Ukraine then they shouldn’t be allowing them to ride in Poland either should they? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
-
So this is again all about the dictatorship of the Poles and ceases to be about the stance against the war. If they were continuing to make a stand against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and banned all Russians from riding anywhere including Poland then fair enough. But effectively banning them from riding anywhere but allowing them to ride in their own league again is a complete nonsense.

I doubt it. I’m surprised he did as well as he did. He hasn’t even bothered with it in recent years but has done it this year to experiment and test new engines. He wasn’t particularly happy with his speed last year so is in the process of changing lots of things.

You also said Holder “definitely 100%” wasn’t at Peterborough. -

People will look at the name and immediately think they have a good signing but I’d be extremely wary personally. Only a few weeks ago he gave an interview saying he’d like a return to Poole one day and riding for anyone else just “isn’t the same” for him. Just how much is he going to put in at Peterborough? Ask the Lynn fans what he was like for them back in the day! And that was years ago when he was still in his pomp!! -
Maybe not him particularly, but that’s why it’s really not worth rushing to complete your team just to satisfy impatient supporters. There’ll be a few I’d guess that will make themselves available between now and late March. Very little if any competition now (if Peterborough’s team is sorted) so sit back and see who becomes available in the next few weeks.

Hume on a 3 point average is a fall back option to a heatleader? That makes no sense. If Worrall has done a u turn and signed for Ipswich as you suggest, then Hume is completely out of the picture. I’m sorry but they’re not leaving the side over 3 points under. I’d suggest Batchelor if anything would get a call if Worrall ends up at Foxhall.
-
Absolutely not a chance in hell those two are the final Ipswich riders. No Sayfutdinov is totally plausible, but he’s not leaving the team over 3 points under the limit.
-
https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2022-rider-statistics/ That’s a fair reflection of the rider’s abilities across the season no?
-
Absolutely. Hume from what I’ve heard wanted a move to Leicester.
-
But that’s just pure guesswork though. Rew just breezed through the Aussie u21 championship with a faultless max and mixed it with established riders in Poland with a better average than the like of Luke Becker. He could be anything time will tell there. We know what we’re getting with Worrall though so you could say he’s the safer bet sure. “Post season”? What does that even mean? My averages were across the entire season which is a far better guaga surely? Every rider has spells where they have ups and downs during the season. It’s not as if Cook was riding his first season is it.
-
Hume had opportunities and offers elsewhere this coming season but Louis refused to release him just in case he was needed. I wonder if Louis feels he owes him a team place now that all the others have moved on and completed their teams. He should do to be honest. You can’t deny the lad the opportunity to earn a living elsewhere and then not end up using him yourself.
-
Take Rew out of the equation for a moment because he’ll be swapping with Hume after the first set of averages. The away from home bit is interesting, have you seen Ben Cook’s stats away from Poole? Cook’s 2022 GSA was 5.69, Hume’s GSA was 5.54 so very little in it. Hume did have a spell at reserve, but so did Ben Cook. The home and away split is where it’s gets interesting. Hume’s GSA split for Glasgow was 5.39 home, and 5.73 away so his GSA for the season was better away than at home. Cook’s split was home 6.93, and rather worryingly 4.32 away, nearly a point and a half less than Hume’s! That tells us he had a liking for the Poole track but was a poor traveler. Jack Thomas by the way had a GSA of 5.39 as apposed to Jenkins’ 4.46. Not sure Peterborough’s tail end will hold up away from home either..

Looks ok from those hand picked fixtures, but if you delve a bit deeper, not so impressive. His averages in recent season are 5.60, 5.22, 5.51 and this season 6.31 which suggests that is as good as it gets. He also had a spell at reserve which he won’t be getting at Peterborough. He did average over 7 for Poole for balance, but that was before these recent averages listed above -
Worrall is at Peterborough.
-
Completely disagree. You don’t pass up the opportunity of signing Sayfutdinov if the chance is there. Just look at the excitement generated on your Peterborough thread when Carpman dangled his rod and hooked a few! A top two of Doyle and Sayfutdinov will get the turnstiles clicking and generate huge enthusiasm. Don’t completely agree with your tail end comments either. You can forget Thomas because every club has a rising star and he’ll be fine. Rew is a top talent, I’m convinced he’ll be fine too although you can never be sure until the action starts. That just leaves Hume who admittedly will be one of the weaker reserves in the league but he’s an improving rider who’ll mix it.
-
I think you’d both be in the minority and not even close. Would you get more of a buzz queuing for the first meeting knowing you’re about to see a combo of Ritchie Worrall and Hans Andersen or Emil Sayfutdinov? I think the vast majority of supporters up and down the country would take the hit of having a weaker second rider if it meant watching Emil every other week.

By signing him knowing that? Dunno, ask the wrestling fella, he’s the one for buses and throwing.
