Peterborough Panthers 2023
Steve Irving replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not really impossible to those that don’t just attend home meetings, but follow their team on the road and use their own eyes. It’s very easy to see what clubs are well supported and which ones aren’t. -
“Actually I’d have liked Ipswich to sign Emil” LOL. You’re fooling nobody. It won’t “bite me” in any way shape or form. The facts are very very simple, YOU have absolutely no clue whatsoever that this deal has “no chance of happening”. You simply know it’s a very difficult deal to do for obvious reasons as does everybody else and Chris Louis himself. If Chris Louis knew it was impossible as you say it is, do you honestly think we’d be in to February with him still chasing it?? You’re a fan, a supporter of your team. No more, no less. You 100% have no greater idea than Chris Louis does on the chances of signing Emil Sayfutdinov. You just don’t so stop all the pompous bullshi!t. Louis will be in no doubt that the chances are he’ll have to give up eventually and move on to someone else but if and when that happens don’t sit there all smug with the “I told you so’s” because you haven’t one iota what is going on behind closed doors. If Louis is still chasing his signature that is because he’s been given encouragement to do so. If it fails, so be it
-
And TINYCOCK from six finger land weighs in with his tuppence worth! You’ve been doing this since last October. I bet you sit there in your mother’s basement with your fingers in your ears going “nope, it’s rumours, all rumours, 100% no chance they’re going for Emil Sayfutdinov”
-
Oh look another prat who thinks he knows better than the actual promoter working on the deal!!
-
Exactly. Louis will know every single detail that needed/needs to be sorted, and the hurdles he’ll need to overcome. He’ll have been given the chances of success by people working on the deal for him and how long it could possibly take. If he’s decided that the chances are enough for him to keep persevering with it then that’s entirely his prerogative and it certainly won’t prove the keyboard experts on here correct if the chase ultimately fails! He’s seemingly now put a deadline on this and will then move on with a back up. Again, that’s entirely his prerogative!
-
You have absolutely no idea on the ins and out of this situation. You’re not working on the deal are you? Got to love this forum with all these keyboard experts.

So is Ritchie Worrall and has been for ages. Only question remaining is Holder or someone else. -
Totally agree. You can shove your facebooks where the sun don’t shine, not interested so I’m more than happy for people to post their photos etc on here.
-
I can understand them, sure, but I don’t like or prefer them.
-
Let’s be honest you wouldn’t be upset with either! I’d probably go Dudek just. Always been a fan of his style and has the best looking kit in the business. Not that it matters with these new daft boring team suits!

Falcon and Gavin have had a shocker here.

Would a Polish rider who doesn’t ride in this country, fly in and reveal his excitement at signing a sponsorship deal? Would you even need to fly in to do a sponsorship deal? I don’t follow him or any other rider on instagram or do instagram at all in fact, so maybe this kind of thing is common?

Had to happen. You currently have Russian players competing in the Australian tennis and quite right too. Wilmbledon better start changing their stance as well or they’ll find themselves in all sorts of trouble. Penalizing individuals and stopping them earning a living because a mad man happens to be in power of the country in which they happen to have been born in which they had no control over is absurd. Just don’t promote the Russian flag and crack on. They weren’t rumours in the case of Ipswich trying to sign him though. The only question open to debate is whether they were going to be successful or not.

The only way they wouldn’t fit is if Keynan Rew is in fact on a 5.00 average and not a 4.00. This is the problem when averages of signings are for some reason, not revealed. Mike Bacon I think was the only one who said Rew was a 4 in the local paper. That hasn’t been confirmed on the official press release or anywhere else as far as I can tell. -

I saw those. Came across as a bit of a knob really the other fella was simply asking the question. Just pay your ‘kin money and keep quiet seems to be the jist! Thick as mince as well I’ll bet he’s the one in the wrong and can’t add up properly. -

If the team has been signed as suggested, why haven’t they just announced them? The new fella has already took responsibility for the lack of information and length of time getting riders announced and admitted it was due to the technicalities of his involvement which has now been resolved. If that’s the case, why make the supporters wait even longer now? -

Well if your own fans didn’t constantly keep bringing Ipswich’ plans on to your thread then it wouldn’t be elaborated on would it. -

You’re absolutely miles off, millions of miles. The fella doesn’t have to “breach” any contract either because he’s signed nothing of the sort. Where did you get that from? -

Totally wrong. Not after the same riders at all. It’s been made very clear who Ipswich were, and continue to be after. Holder, Worrall and Andersen are all in at Peterborough. -

Impossible to put a number on it, but there’ll be supporters that don’t want their rivals having such a coup. No doubt about it. They’ll know who they are because they’ll be smirking reading this. They’ll want Ipswich signing a couple of duffers make no mistake. -

It’s “red tape”. Dance around it any way you like, it’s red tape. You’re another who is desperate for this not to happen, we get it. -

He does. He knows every single detail, every single obstacle, and yet still believes he can get it done. Old Wolfie knows better though obviously!
