  1. The team that finishes top should be champions. The top four at the end of the season should then contest a semi and then final for the knockout cup so there’s still the target of a top four place to aim for. That would also eliminate the farce of one club getting a bye and riding less cup fixtures than everyone else.
  2. It’s definitely worth finishing top as you’re all but guaranteed a bye to the final facing either Lynn or Leicester over two legs with all due respect. Unless of course “commercial reasons” comes in to play again. Without injuries Ipswich will be finishing top that’s a given so it’s most likely Sheffield and Belle Vue battling it out in the other semi.
  3. Just shows the ridiculous strength Ipswich have got. They have a reserve coming from the back and passing a 2nd/3rd heatleader on his own track. They may have conceded a 5-1 in 13 (conveniently?) but you have to be a fair few points up on them to beat them by that stage because they look strong in 14 as well as the obvious in 13 and 15. Brennan in 14 with Jenkins (or Dan Thompson if they want to make a switch) means they’ll be big favourites for heat advantages in the final three heats.
  4. Hagon look devoid of any confidence sadly. Leicester should bring in Joe Thompson. He’d score points around Leicester at least.
  5. He isn’t though? If anything Wrights machine is nearer to the dividing line than Ellis’ is so if anyone should have been moved over it’s him!
  6. See this is the problem when you spout biased blinkered drivel on here, sometimes the footage gets uploaded and you get caught out. Want to retract your biased lies Lucifer? Ellis never elbowed Wright or anyone else from the moment the tapes rose, to the second he crossed the finish line 🙄
  7. He’s going to be a star this boy. He has box office entertainer written all over him. Heard a whisper that a premiership club have already agreed terms with his family to sign up as a club asset on his 16th birthday. Been doing plenty of laps there already.
  8. You’re generalising and taking one comment from one poster and another from a different poster and wrongly claiming that it’s all coming from the same person and they are being contradictive 🙄 You’re also (no shock there) making absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s far easier to build a team of seven riders up to a points limit (unless you’re Oxford) than it is replacing the best rider in the league like for like mid season. You’re comparing apples with oranges. Sheffield couldn’t replace Woffinden either. It’s almost impossible to replace those guys. It certainly ISNT impossible to build a team up to a points limit though.
  9. It undoubtedly brings more pressure which in turn can then affect confidence and affect results in those heats you’re describing where he could/should be beating riders of his own level. He needs to get away from 1 sharpish.
  10. TBF it can affect confidence riding in a position that you’re just not good enough to be in. This just seems to be a very tired old Kings Lynn set up to me. There’s very little there to get excited about with this team it’s just a bit drab isn’t it.
  11. On paper? They have the best team full stop, Phil.
  12. They’ve manipulated nothing. Jenkins met the qualifying criteria again this yeah that all of the clubs set. Don’t be annoyed that others can build good teams whilst your own team is clearly quite crap at it.
  13. https://speedwayhub.com/belle-vue-aces-sign-tate-zischke-in-place-of-connor-mountain/ Ah but the pilar of the Speedway community that is Belle Vue, never do things for their own personal gain, it’s always for the benefit of others. Bless their little hearts. Young Brit, pops in 11 points at Oxford, gets axed for another Aussie. You do talk some utter sh!t.
  14. Great idea, let’s have a salary cap that forces out your Emil’s and Holders to give the crap at the bottom more of a chance. That will really get the turnstiles clicking in huge numbers.
  15. As soon as it became common knowledge that Harris was in at Lynn, every man and his dog kind of knew Boughen was going to be Kings Lynn’s rising star.
  16. So you want it to benefit YOUR team instead by getting first dibs because you were crap the previous season? Lol The whole priority “pick” based on a completely different season’s league placings is bonkers. Why should a team get to choose the best rider first just because they were useless the previous season? It’s a different season!!!
  17. Kvech has been a tad disappointing though. Yes he’s done ok, but he looks like a run of the mill middle order rider when I personally thought he could be a force and become a number one quite quickly. Hasn’t quite happened but still time.
  18. And yet they still beat you on your own track. Despite Birmingham pulling 8 points back the result was never in doubt from the moment the tapes rose in heat one. The track was undoubtedly a “leveller” it was absolutely horrid.
  19. Thompson seems to be following the same career path as Tom Brennan. He’s got a few years on Brennan but he’s clearly heading in the same upward direction. Leicester must be watching his progress with massive regret. That’s one monumental bollock dropped by them. He’s also quickly moved to heatleader status in the Championship as well. Fair play to Glasgow for snapping him up, but Poole must be another kicking themselves. He seems tailor made for Poole so a missed opportunity there for them.
  20. It’s not as daft a suggestion as it seems. No it won’t happen of course, but would it improve the entertainment if dialled in home riders started behind the visiting riders? 100% yes.
  21. And the one last evening at Oxford. I think this is quite common early season though to be fair. Normally improves when things settle down and you get in to the season properly.
  22. Think you need to calm down a bit. Enjoy a resounding win of course, but it was Birmingham at home. Is there a reason you’ve conveniently forgotten about the Emil crash that ended his and Ipswich’ season? There was a very real safety issue there last season whether you choose to deny it until you’re blue in the face or not. Your very own riders criticised the track live on TV, we all heard it. Again deny it all you like, but the dirt pile up by the fence WAS dangerous for anyone brave enough to go out there. The majority wisely chose not to.
  23. Really nice lad Tom isn’t he. Very level headed young man and it’s great to see him progress and do well.
