Is it just me, or does Lewis Kerr's tweet thanking Lynn and the fans for "the start of my career", sound like a permanent thanks and goodbye? Maybe I'm reading far too much in to that.

You have to take in account the wishes of the rider. From his twitter, it seems he really wants to ride for Ipswich. There are two scenarios here. Either Kerr jibbed off Lynn and chose to stay with Ipswich, or Buster has accepted that it's unfair on both Ipswich and Kerr and has reluctantly released the rider. There's really no love lost between Buster and Ipswich so I'd think the second scenario is unlikely, but I could be wrong.

I think that is a fair comparison. The response to the Ipswich team was luke warm whereas the Glasgow septet have been given the wow factor. King is better than Lawson, Covatti and Barker are both difficult to judge, will Covatti maintain his form from this year and will Barker return to the form of a few years ago? Kerr v Summers you'd have to favour Summers there. Summers has been around a while now but this year he's really kicked on to be an excellent heatleader. Kerr has the obvious question mark because of his injury but he says he has no recollection of the accident and it hasn't affected him mentally. It's a wait and see with him but if he picks up where he left off pre injury then there's no reason why he can't progress like Summers did this year. Very little between Worrall and Risager as the averages suggest. I agree that I'd prefer Sargeant over Lunna. Sargeant didn't want the season to end and was racking up some cricket scores in the closing weeks. I'd have to give Ipswich the edge at Reserve too. I think Castagna is a snip on 3.33 and as I said when Ipswich announced their team, I'm very surprised Sheffield didn't include him on that figure! Have they made another error similar to not retaining Covatti this year? Overall you'd have to favour Glasgow's septet as the safer bet as Ipswich have one or two more question marks but Ipswich could potentially be very good also.

Are they? I'm not so sure. We're really talking about one reserve here as everyone will be tracking a NL 3 pointer. Ritchings will be better than most. When you go top heavy, you have to have low averaged reserves it's a simple as that. Castagna is a shoe in to put at least a point on a 3.33 average IMO.

Would love to See Tungate at the STMP and we were close to signing him before Ipswich nipped in. I think he's Somerset bound though unfortunately.

That's very good business from Ipswich and strange decision from Sheffield. Castagna is a very good signing on an average just above 3. That's one average improver right there. Good team to be fair.

Sorry HT, as a Redcar supporter and I've watched the footage several times, I'm still not 100% sure..

I think that's a bit harsh on Louis to be honest. He didn't say he saw the incident and as it was after the race there's a chance he didn't. He also said if he thought it was premeditated then he wouldn't be happy. He did say that he'd had a word with the rider and was satisfied with his version of events.

As a supporter of neither club, I've got to be honest I'm unsure after watching it several times. I wouldn't categorically say 100% that he intended to knock Auty off.

Thought we might have got a point out of this meeting but not to be. Good from Kus, Roynon and Bjerre when he completed the race, not so good from the others. Well done Panthers.

As a Redcar supporter, I have to say I thought the Witches fans were terrific. They were clearly enjoying themselves after their win (and why shouldn't they) and there seemed to be some light hearted banter going on that was taken in good spirits by all around them. Have to say it was a very enjoyable day all round, thoroughly enjoyed it.

For what it's worth I thought the ref got both decisions right. Well done Ipswich.

At least some of the comments on here have some credibility as they're based on actually listening to the interview. You've admitted you haven't! Blatantly obvious who your favourite is! How about wait until you've actually listened to the thing before taking sides?

I can understand why you rub some people up the wrong way. Yes you're entitled to your opinion, but you come across as a grumpy sod who always looks for the worst in people and are very much a glass half empty kind of chap who can't wait to criticise. Slating the team manager, a novice who had only just completed his first meeting in charge, is a bit absurd.

My lot? I'm a Redcar supporter, for my sins. And we'll agree to disagree, Big opportunity for Berwick and if they don't rack up a good lead for the second leg they'll be kicking themselves.

Berwick have come out of these changes far better than Ipswich, IMO.

I think Berwick will be fully aware that it's a golden opportunity to build a big lead with Ipswich looking Weakened, so I'd expect they'd make every effort to make sure this goes ahead.

Why didn't Covatti get 7 rides?

Totally opposite for me. My partner comes from Bury st Edmunds so whenever we travel there to see her family, we always take in an Ippo meeting. Probably see 2 or 3 meetings a season, and I've yet to see a poor one! Only been since 2013 mind and haven't been this year yet.
