How many rides does Schlein normally get in Poland? If he's a regular, then that could be problematic with him missing the Sunday tracks over here along with any fixture clashes with his yet to be named Premiership club. Not so bad if you have strong reserves, but if you build a strong top end and go with two 2 pointers at reserve (Hume and Mountain?), then R/R obviously isn't ideal no matter how much promise they have. Would you risk it?

That was an early tweet either on or just after the final day of the AGM. They've since backtracked on that with further "updates", admitted that it was a hectic few days so not everything relevant was revealed. Chris Louis publicly stated this was the case ages ago, but for some bizarre reason some on here chose not to believe him and said he was wrong!

Tungate is a good rider and he's had an excellent year at Somerset. The move has been good for him, would he have had the same year and reached his current average at Foxhall? I very much doubt it. He could be a victim of his own success though, as I'm not sure I'd touch him on his current average. Better value out there for me.

A good egg is Chris Louis, always takes time to reply to supporters questions on twitter. Pity more don't follow suit.

Hang on, it's been pointed out to you numerous times over the last few days that Chris Louis has stated British newcomers that haven't achieved a true average, will come in on a 2 and you've constantly stated that he's wrong (LOL). Why believe him now? Anyway, this is the reply he's just given to Baldyman's question (he's probably getting sick of reiterating it!).. @dazpen70 2 pointers as they didn't obtain a PL average in 2016. All assessed British riders will be 2. Others will be 2. Something.

5.97 if you go with two 2 pointers.

Ipswich have a couple of assets in Heeps and Manzarez on averages just over 5 that could fit in nicely. Sergeant another option. I'd personally give Sargeant another place he's a good little rider with more increase in him.

Ive been disappointed with Bjerre I have to be honest. I watched him as a teen at Kings Lynn when he first burst on to the scene and I genuinely thought he was more talented than his elder Brother and would go right to the very top. He may still get there of course he's only 23, but I honestly expected him to be a big player in the top flight by now, not a 7 pointer in the second tier. Still time on his side so let's hope he cracks on now and fulfils that immense early potential that he showed.

I haven't been to Sheffield for a few years but reading the comments on here from those that have, the track hasn't been good for racing in recent times. That will need to change if you're going to get the best out of Bjerre. Chris Louis? A current promoter who unlike the majority on here, actually spent 3 days at the AGM. Could he have got it wrong? There is always a possibility of course, there are promoters who have got rider averages wrong in the past but Louis is a smart guy and knows his onions so you'd really have to think that he's correct no? He's not once, but twice now publically stated that all British newcomers that haven't attained an actual average will start on a 2. What I find amazing is that some on here who are blatantly less knowledgeable on the subject are point blank stating that Louis is wrong and all newcomers are a 3!! As I said, there is always the distinct possibility that Louis has made a massive faux pas here and those stating that newcomers will start on 3 will ultimately prove to be correct. But at this moment in time, we surely have to side with the promoter who was actually at the meetings last week? The SGB twitter feed also backtracked on a previous tweet yesterday and also confirmed Louis' belief, and the Sheffield Star (not a great source admittedly) have also stated today that Sheffield are hoping to include JPB, who will come in on a 2 point average.

Seems clear to me! Let's use Danyon Hume as an example. He hasn't achieved an official average of 3 or above, so he starts the season on a 2.00. The word "minimum" hasn't been used. No red face for me, it will be a red face for whoever tweets on behalf of SGB if it doesn't turn out to be correct.
