And you know that how? Because Dickson said so in the Star? Funny how you and Iain are more than happy to Believe every word your Team manager says, but when riders openly state they canât afford to ride in one league and would retire if one league came to pass, youâre all quick to disbelieve them and rip the pi$$ out of them! -
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/02362212/filing-history Change of details for Chris Louis filed on January 29th. When you view the PDF though, nothing is viewed in the ânew detailsâ.

You really are one miserable bugger arenât you? Never known someone to moan, whinge, and see the negative side of just about everything. Glass half empty doesnât even begin to cover it. I feel sorry for your significant other.

Youâve already bored everybody to death on another thread with your scare stories about Mayfield sports and the lack of a full GP Calendar and their credentials to present one. You then strangely disappeared when they subsequently announced a full GP Calendar a week or so later. Pipe down.
-
Think you should do a little more research. As far as a British Speedway club ownership goes, itâs pretty huge. Wouldnât be at all surprised if they donât just stop at Ipswich in the near future either.
-
That all but confirms Mayfield Sports are the new owners. Thatâs pretty huge and Louis has played a blinder there to be fair. I get youâre frustrated, everyone on here has been. But they released their AGM statement confirming five clubs, and talks were ongoing to grab a 6th. Theyâve clearly been waiting on both Ipswich, and getting Northampton up and running. But until those two get completed, what can the BSPL say in the meantime? I get it. We all want regular updates, but if thereâs nothing further to report then itâs pointless them coming out with a weekly âupdateâ, that the update is thereâs no further update!
-
In the same boat. Moved down to Bury St Edmunds last year so any speedway I do watch now, is at Ipswich. Not a regular though by any means. Woffinden is a difficult one to judge. He did far better than I thought he would for Sheffield with a near 9 point average. Another horrible accident since then though but Woffinden is not your average rider. Incredibly strong character and mentality as tough as they come. I wouldnât bet against him coming back and hitting the big scores again.

Itâs difficult to imagine that with the contacts and influence Mayfield undoubtedly has in the sport right now, that they donât announce their purchase of a Premiership club with an eye catching number 1 signing. Theyâll get one of the GP boys in surely.
-
What makes you say that? Youâve hinted that youâve heard something, care to share?

You said back in December theyâd already signed one Flagrag. What happened?
-
The new owners are going to want to make a statement of intent. Theyâll know full well the Ipswich supporters have been used to watching Doyle and Emil lead the team the last few years, and having Brennan (with all due respect to him) leading the team at 1 isnât going to cut the mustard. If itâs Mayfield, that gives them a huge advantage over every other club when it comes to attracting a big hitter over. Especially those GP riders who might not make the cut, and will rely on a wildcard to remain in the seriesâŚ

Thatâs what I saw too but I remember his average being a bone of contention back then, especially when it came to his eligibility to guest. Cant see this one happening for a few reasons, but if it does itâll be interesting to see what average heâs given and whether itâll be reassessed.
-
What would Robert Lambertâs average be out of interest?
-
That all goes out the window when youâre offered enough $$$$ Think it would actually do him the world of good personally. Looked to go backwards a little last year and could do with being sharpened up.
-
Surely thatâs a complete conflict of interest? You canât have two owners/promotors run their own clubs, and also own/run a second club between them in the same league. Thatâs just nuts. Glad Louis turned that particular proposal down! Wouldnât think the Ipswich supporters would have been too thrilled either to be frank. The two promoters would naturally put their clubs first, and Ipswich would end up with the scraps just to get them running so their own clubs had a viable league to compete in. Assuming one was Chapman, heâs hardly going to help build a better team than his beloved Kings Lynn is he? Terrible idea, and pure desperation.
-
No offence intended but thatâs not new news is it? Louis himself issued a statement over a fortnight ago now saying the same thing. Sale all agreed, just DD and paperwork to get through.
-
Being one of the ânice guys of the sportâ shouldnât be a yardstick for anyone to sign him. There may have been value signing him at the start of last season due to his average dropping due to riding with a wrist injury. But a solid season has seen that rise over half a point again. Little value, and a poor signing and a strange one all things considered. Youâd have thought with his mates disappearing (Hawkins due to his loyalty to Chris, his words), King would have seen lifting the big one finally as a natural conclusion to his time at the club and heâd follow the others out the door. I guess with nobody else wanting him (understandably), a job is still a job I suppose. Not exactly out with the old, in with the new and a bright new dawn is it? Death, taxes, and Danny King at Ipswich.
-
His best mates that have kept him in the team all these years have now buggered off, and they STILL canât get rid of him at Foxhall đ
-
Exactly. Correct. Heâs clearly going to have to be compensated for walking away. Heâs not going to let them run HIS business. The sale is going to need to go through for everyoneâs sake here. Itâs a complete mess.
-
That doesnât make any sense. So what is he selling then? He doesnât want to ârisk his own financial securityâ, but heâs asking a sh!t load of money for someone else to do just that? If he thinks itâs no longer profitable, and he thinks itâs only going to get worse and heâll end up LOSING money, then why not give it away?
-
Times up. Another deadline missed. This is getting ridiculous, seriously how much longer do you give them? Starting to think that the others at BSPL towers pi$$ed Louis off that much that heâs doing this on purpose to be as disruptive as possible!

Rosco?
