  1. Ryan Blacklock just posted on FB he IS happy getting teams so will be either Berwick or Edinburgh
  2. Think Mitch might be the fall guy hope not thou if he is classed as a 3 pointer and not a 2 he was beginning to look like the rider we know he can be
  3. Dan bewley mussed nearly all home matches and a few away ones the difference with dan was he came from nowhere and went from reserve to th leader so has a true average
  4. think most of his rides were R/R as he was usually the number 8
  5. He never got a true average because he was not declared in any 1 -7 so his scores never really counted must have ridden for every team in the league lol
  6. Strong rumors Sam masters might be going elite with Somerset think his contract is owned by them so they wil have first shout on his services will they be riding Friday also ??
  7. Nikes equipment was not really the best this year apart from his engines it was pretty much last years rollers and were a bit past there best same as his mechanic!!!! he only really got it sorted after his injury and he seemed to pick up after that but next year he will be bringing 2 complete new bikes and hopefully a mechanic that will look after his equipment
  8. Don't think they could afford Mitch davey
  9. Most of The new reserves in every team will struggle apart from a few this year with a good few tracks having a bit of grip/dirt on them as in the NL all the tracks are very slick and with Danny having already got a years experience pretty sure he will score more well this year
  10. Jack smith joins Glasgow as number 7 and also as a full asset
  11. Riders tinkering with there engine will always happen no matter what type of engines they use and it's not the fastest engine that is the best in fact if it's too fast the rider will go backwards it's the rider that makes the decisions so that he can get the setup right on the day for that particular shape /size condition of track with changing everything from a tooth in the rear sprocket to the length of the bike ,clutch plates springs ,ignition, jet size tyre pressure get that right and your half way there to winning that's why most riders keep a note of what works best so most riders will have the basic set done up in their workshop before they get to the track then change it as the track. Changes durning the meeting , most riders will have a couple engines probably more than a couple each if they can afford it some work better on certain types of track and the tinkering on the day is not normally to get it to go faster it's to get the power on the ground and get the setup right I have not heard many rider this year complain about costs if riders were to turn up and pick one engine from 14 pretty sure they would all chuck it after all it's the riders that pay the tuners to maintain them not the promotion Coming from a motocross background speedway is a lot cheaper for sure Speaking tonight at the Glasgow tigers fans night was Simon stead and he was taking about Gerhard engines and costs and said a good few elite and pl riders have tried them and don't like them And until the top GP riders use them they won't take off
  12. I f it's our #7 Would be a long way to come from oz just for a practice day lol
  13. they won't need to worry they old GM,s that everybody used to use will be so cheap riders will be giving them away
  14. Does Steve not do the track at worky on a Saturday night anyway ?
  15. Clubs or the bspa owning engines will never happen it's too expensive for a start and why should they its the riders equipment to supply and maintain themselfs if they can't afford it then chuck it in and get a proper job like they did years ago when it was a hobby where you arranged around days off and hoildats , most clubs struggle every year and i don't think they can afford another expense ,Clubs need to kept a tight budget and live within that budget rather than give riders what they want offer what you can afford if he says no move on to the next one but every club needs to do it that way the promotors will eventually have the upper hand rather than the rider it will be better for clubs this year with so many riders not having team place with the rule changes and I have even been told a good few clubless riders are asking for less than they got last year just so they can get a team spot rather than miss out
  16. That's about the same price of a new ash-tech engine lol I spoke to David Howe a while back at scunny when he was testing the Rev limiter for himself said it was fantastic out of the start when he eventually got it set up for him I think it was set for just over 13000 rpm he tried it higher and lower but the power was to much and just spun up or anything lower just never pulled him off the gate but much would depend how the rider sets his clutch up what the starts were like think ryan Douglas used them also , no two riders will have the same setup ,you could put 2 GP riders on the exsact same engine and do four laps and both would probably change different set ups to make it easier for them to ride it the way they want ,it would also depend how and where they want to ride on the track inside or way out in the deep stuff if there is any dirt on the track some rider have different engines for different tracks some now are using long stroke offsets I never even knew you could get such a thing but they are out there make the tracks concistant that would help
  17. Pretty sure the team was all picked and signed as soon as the teams ave was announced
  18. It's really only 1.5 if your bringing in a 2 pointer pretty sure Richie will be there along with Nike and pretty sure they will put something on there ave along with Arron and Richard who we get to fill the rest of the team will be hard but every team will be in the same boat
