  1. Was also good to see themHelping each other at worky on Saturday night when Richards bike had a few problems
  2. You got proof of this as I can tell you your defo wrong on that one
  3. He has 2 bikes but as I said he thought he had it fixed and there was not just not enough time to warm up his spare bike and he used Ryan's bike because it was one of his engines that ryan just bought off him and the same frame set up but just had the wrong sprocket on but got it sorted for ht 15
  4. One of Richards clutch bearing had disintegrated at the start line hence he was on arrons and we though we got it fixed but when he jumped on it to go out for ht 13 with 30 secs to go it just did not feel right so jumped on Ryan's which the gearing was not fast enough on the straights but the rest of the riders sorted it for ht 15
  5. Also heard they both might ride for worky maybe in the Nl
  6. By Phil Lanning EXCLUSIVE JAMES Sarjeant admits he is devastated at the speedway boo boys after the toughest season of his career. The softly-spoken Yorkshireman has endured a torrid campaign after being left club-less on the eve of the campaign following Coventrys sudden closure. Sarj had a month at Ipswich to replace the injured Kyle Newman and then moved to Workington halfway through the season. But he admits he is gutted with his form for the Comets - but doesnt deserve the volume of stick he has received from fans. Sarjeant revealed: Its been a horrendous season to be honest. Its been a bit stop and start and Ive never really felt that comfortable or on form. Ive had the odd meeting here and there but Ive felt like a bit of a nomad jumping from club to club. But the last month or so has been really terrible. My form at Workington has been poor and I just cant seem to get myself dialled into Derwent Park. The track has been difficult for me to get used to and Im devastated by it all. Ive tried everything to get it sorted but the harder I try, the worse it seems to get. Im gutted that Ive not been able to prove myself to the fans or management. I think everyone knows Im an honest rider. I wear my heart on my sleeve but Im really surprised about how much stick Ive taken from some sections of the fans. I will always hold my hands up and admit when Ive not performed, I am doing that right now. But to be verbally abused at the stadium and on social media is really hard to stomach. Theres little doubt I am a 100 per cent trier. People need to remember that I need to earn money. Im running at a huge loss this season because of missing so many meetings and losing a Premiership club. I need to win races but it just hasnt happened for me at Workington. I would like to apologise to the real Workington fans and the management for my behaviour last Saturday, the frustration is really beginning to get to me that I just cant score big points like I know I can. I lost the plot last week and its just because I am passionate about this sport and trying to progress. Its so hard when everything you try goes wrong. Sarjeant did show signs of his undoubted potential in three meetings in succession at Edinburgh for the Comets, Caledonian Riders Championship and guesting for Glasgow. He said: Ive always liked Armadale and the track is very consistent. To be honest its restored my faith in myself that I can still score well with good performances there. I think my frustration with my form is really starting to show and Ive got to contain that and concentrate on getting my scoring right for Workington. James reply from his FB racing page
  7. Been dry all day and only had our first shower 15 mins ago which lasted only a few minutes the track needed it really still bright with the sun trying to breakthrough
  8. Thought it was the 18th for the cut off date according to monarchs FB page it's 18th
  9. I was wrong sorry josh will ride for scunny just seen team sheets and it's the other reserve that is not coming up to Glasgow
  10. Maybe with the likes of Bickley shuttleworth Blacklock being local lads and a few others up north if they dropped to Nl would the crowds get lower or like Eastbourne and Birmingham there crowds have gone up and running at a profit and better racing according to the fans only putting it out there
  11. Mason Compton guests at shieffield fir dan and think it's ryan Douglas on Saturday
  12. Don't think bewley will ride still suffering from a groin strain pulled out tonight at BV
  13. should have been ok to replace a injured rider with another of same ave now it will be rr which will put a end to there season I think
  14. Broken shoulder also Broken bones in his back his season is now finished Nikes FB page Hello . Like most of you gyes know. I had a nasty crash today in Swedish playoffs. I am afraid to say that my season is finished in have two broken bones in my back and a broken shoulder. Thank you for all get well messages I will be back stronger next year
  15. Been ok had a few showers and also had the sun splitting the sky
  16. Not so much as training days more practice days and basic riding skills the kids need taught by well known riders and on a regular basis not once a month and maybe any rider that gets a testimonial should be obliged to put some time in the following year to help the kids I think if any retired rider started a training school and took it around the country it would be full every time the NSS should be open a few nights a week for tuition/practice for riders what's the use of having a national speedway stadium and not using it to ifs full poteniol there is loads that can be done but it's the Ones at the top that needs to put the wheels in motion
  17. The poles like the swedes and Danes have proper training, coaching schools on different size of tracks to suit from a young age which gives them a great start for racing speedway the earlier the better most of the new generation riders are very young with loads of racing under the belts
  18. Remember a rider chasing another rider into the pits at Glasgow throwing punches and rolling about on the ground after a race , then later on in the bar the pair of them laughing about it together think most of it is just the adrenaline all spur of the moment stuff
  19. Think they might have 2 paramedics instead of 1 as one would stay in the ambulance to monitor the rider while the rest of the first aiders inc the other paramedic are back on the track pretty sure it was the same at Armadale a few weeks back when Sam masters crashed and the meeting carried on with him in the ambulance
  20. has the bubble burst with the GTR for Freddie
