  1. Your source has been listening to chinese whispers
  2. They will have a team that will be very hard to beat at home ,Arlington is a very hard track to get around and the home team will have plenty practice there and I think if their reserves are Brennan and woods they will get a barrow load of points even against heat leaders
  3. Think Maybe worky got a wee under the table deal done with him a while back ;-)’-)
  4. Love how all these post saying they know how much Glasgow pay there riders and what deals they are getting and riders getting silly wages double of what everybody else is paying (bullsh1t) more like chinese whispers starts off at £50/£70 a point and by the time it gets on here it’s trebled and don’t forget their mega signing on fees lol guess they also know how much sponsors give them towards the riders wages
  5. THJ. As you said if this is your first year then your still wet behind your ears and you better get used to it riders also approach clubs as well even before the end of the season looking for a spot for the following year this is speedway no one goes by the book every club for themselves ,most promotors have every riders number in there phone and it’s easier to call them We never heard the promotors at Sheffield moan much last year when there agreed number 1 rider went somewhere else and that was not long before the season started
  6. Promotors Can always say no to any rider if it’s outwith their budget I know Glasgow knocked back a rider because of his demands and by the sound of it Somerset knocked back Charles Wright because they would not go over their budget and with the low team ave this year some decent riders might miss out with their demands so there will always be another rider that will take the deal
  7. The thing you can buy the best riders on the league but it does not guarantee you anything who said worky would win 3 trophy’s with the team they had a good solid team from 1-7 with riders that will put something on there average will always win
  8. So if you were offered more money and paid on time to move to a different company you would say no thanks happy with What I have
  9. Surely the owner of the rider is the bspa so you contact them first or if you contact rider because no club owns him they would tell you to contact bspa before any deal can be done the riders are only being loaned to the club for a season unless they gave a contract that’s for more than one season pretty sure every promoter in the league will approach the rider before the club just to see if he would like to come common sense really
  10. So basically if the rider has signed on the dotted line for you you have him if not and you want him back but he wants to go somewhere else for a better deal he tells the bspa he wants to go to wherever and goes the riders does what he wants nothing new there move on
  11. from what I was told he is owned by the bspa and will go where he wants
  12. Pretty sure most teams will be top heavy this year With 2-3 pointers at reserve in most team and the team with the best reserves will be up at the top end when the play off come only problem with that is if the reserves get injured they will not be many good enough to cover injuries
  13. Leon will be at Berwick for sure he does not chase the money as he has knocked back a good few clubs from what I was told it’s who he rides with is more important to him than the money good lad
  14. Maybe Less 2.5% for brits coming that came through the NL league
  15. Quote from Scott’s FB page There has never been a more important time to show your support for Berwick Speedway. Jamie Courtney will be sailing the ship in 2019 and I can’t emphasise enough how crucial it is for everyone to shoot for the same goal and help make this viable. I’ve done my stint front of house but if I could ask for one last thing it’s to show your unconditional support for your club.
  16. Sounds like Scott’s stepping down with Jamie taking control
  17. If some of these riders get to a 8/9 then the way the championship is set up now they would be the new breed of 2 pointers moving up the ladder so that it becomes easier for the next lot of new young stars to start on a 3 in the nl
  18. Think it will all come down to costs no one thought the championship would drop to 38 with 7 riders personally thought it should have been 6 riders on that ave but with all Nl clubs struggling maybe dropping the team ave lower will help the teams finances ,
  19. What are you actually buying when you buy the club ?assets and machinery airfence what's a club worth really
  20. Lewis Kerr Paul Starke niki Luna Bradley Wilson dean ben barker sarj or Nathan greaves jack Thomas 37.64
  21. Pretty sure you will still get them coming down when they have free weekends they all love a Berwick night out another rider Ryan Blacklock whose thinking of chucking his leg over a bike again
  22. Would they not try run a nl team team to keep the track running ,the likes of Eastbourne and Birmingham seem to have put decent competitive teams together and have kept a decent crowd level and not lost any money from what I hear they would have a decent team with some local riders in Leon and kerion plus the likes of mitch Davy Luke Ruddick Ryan MacDonald Kev Whelan blair Smith that would give locals something to cheer about and with less matches could have a weekend of now and again and with having the training track on their doorstep could bring riders up from there, also there wage bill would be easy quarter less than they pay out now and with local riders the local press might cover it more
