  1. I think Tai is assured of a point from Ales Dryml (if Ales gets in front) who seemed to go out of his way to let Tai through in Stockholm.
  2. For the most unforced errors not involving other riders it has to be Olly Allen for me. Dropped it three times tonight and all on the same bend!
  3. I will probably might make my third and final visit of the season Tony. See you there,
  4. Malilla back for 2014? http://www.barometern.se/sporten/ot-avslojar-gp-cirkusen-tillbaka-i-malilla-2014(3943001).gm
  5. Agreed - with his limited contribution to British Speedway it beggars belief!
  6. I enjoyed the meeting and have to agree to some of the above posts. Apart from giving some riders more track time I cannot think why Dudley were so intent on losing today.
  7. Well done to Craig Cook breaking the track record in heats 1,5 and 15!
  8. I have travelled with Travel Plus and can highly recommend them. I also do my own thing quite regularly as for instance last week I did two meetings in Sweden and one in Denmark and as others have mentioned it is quite easy to organise this kind of travel in this day and age. I quite enjoy driving abroad so that might be a factor to take account of. Both options have their merits and are equally enjoyable in my experience.
  9. Tim - My wife said it would be better if I remained fully clothed!!
  10. Just checked in to our Hotel in Växjö. Looking forward to Elitserien Speedway tonight at Målilla - Dackarna vs Elit Vetlanda
  11. Firstly I hope the Kyle Howarth, David Bellego and Rohan Tungate will be ok. I agree with many of the above comments about the shambolic running of the meeting. There were various reasons for delays but two seemingly avoidable factors were the malfunctioning starting gate (last time I was at Alwalton it caused a 45 minute delay - seems things have not improved much) and Barbara Horley who like Chris Gay (undisputed champion of reruns!) causes false starts by holding the tapes too long. Mrs Horley also has no urgency over the running of a meeting and when I saw her name in the programme, when I arrived, I knew it would be a long day! All the same I enjoyed the racing, even if the track was not at its usual very high standard and well done to Edinburgh on their victory!
  12. I enjoyed what was my third visit to Parken last night and I hope it will not be my last but it does not sound too encouraging! Well done to Darcy Ward and I hope AJ and Freddie will be back riding soon! Nice also to have a chat with racers and royals at the airport both yesterday and today!
  13. Not much luck for me. Unibax keep rejecting my money! Will carry on trying for a bit longer though!
  14. Ward for sure and probably Iversen. Not so sure after that at the moment but no doubt the selectors would include a token Swede.
  15. I'm not so sure that the points deduction is that much of a penalty as they probably would have lost had the meeting gone ahead but now they have a good chance of winning and if they pick up three points they would then be no worse off than had the original match gone ahead.
  16. I agree as dubious postponements have been happening far too often!
  17. A few months ago Scott Nicholls said he would be riding - not sure if he's changed his mind since!
  18. I also agree Mike Lanham was somewhat over-shadowed. I remember Tim Hunt's early days and he looked very promising.
  19. My apologies I thought the advertised start time was 7.00PM and not 7.15PM. I was mislead by the Speedway GP website!
  20. I agree it's not rocket science Phil and the same applies to GP's starting on time! The last one was nearly 15 minutes before the first race got underway! Let's see if they can do better on Saturday!
  21. Looking forward to this one. Details taken from the Coventry website below:- http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.2257
  22. Firstly and most importantly I hope Jason, Jari and Simon make speedy recoveries. As others have said it was a disgrace that it took so long to run and like many I left after the heat 12 accident fearing another delay of an hour or more. Given the difficulty many riders were having I think it should have been abandoned at that point anyway. I suspect most die-hards like me will be back for more but I do not believe many new fans will have been won over today!
