I'm really sorry for Chris as he has done a great deal for the club. Although Hansen's contribution to the club has been minimal he still deserves to be paid everything he is owed and should not have to wait for it!

No confusion Ghostie. As you say the tracks are at opposite ends of the city and the Hammarby meeting was actually the night before the 2013 SGP. The less said about 2014 the better though! Anyway the meeting at Veddestavallen started at 11am on the day of the Stockholm SGP in 2013. I nearly went but didn't think I would get there in time from Skavsta airport on the Saturday morning. Others I know did chance it and missed a few races. Check out the Svemo calendar as it is on again this year on the day of the SGP of course and at 11am again!

Assets - Who "owns" Who?

No teams own any riders although some seem to think they do when it suits them. -
Apart from the spelling of his surname!

It is Chris Mills at Workington. -
Three titles for Greg Hancock and the fact he has ridden at the highest level for so long should not be overlooked!

That is indeed where I went to school tonyd - 1971 to 1974 before moving up to Stanley Ave! Also started doing Wimbledon and Hackney in 1972 and now have visited 136 different tracks in total. Going to Speedway at Wembley certainly set me off on what has become a huge part of my life for 45 years!

I first discovered Speedway in 70/71 when I lived in Wembley. My routine was much the same as you tonyd although my connection with Alperton was that I went to school there! I agree with cityrebel about the second halfs at Wembley as they were so much better than anything I ever saw elsewhere. I also well remember the one and two lap flying starts - happy days!

I believe there was also a Workington rider (Steve Watson?) who only had one eye.

I wonder how many tickets they have really sold direct to Speedway fans who intend going to watch the meeting? -

How times have changed as those of us with longer memories will recall the Polish teams who struggled badly (for a number of differing reasons) when they came to the UK! All very different now though! -

I believe it was cancelled! -
I have been to watch a few of the Sunday practice sessions and am very impressed with the work Andrew is putting in. He also has some very promising young riders that he is working with and hopefully some of them will be seen riding for the Raiders in 2015. The National League looks to be an exciting place to be involved with next season.

Employment laws are not applicable to self employed Speedway riders.

Phew that's a relief!

Darcy Ward did wrong and (has been) will be rightly be punished! I also hope that those clowns at the FIM (who have been 'overseeing' this farcical process) are suitably admonished as well!

Hansen was very poor this year but he still deserves to be paid what he was entitled to. Hopefully it will get sorted soon!
